Xievie 498 September 22, 2013 Share September 22, 2013 I used to play well known games like Runescape, WoW, and Wizard 101. Also, I've played games like Vindictus, Warframe (actually, message me if you want to get into playing this! c:), and Dragon Nest. Warframe and Dragon Nest have been worth my time, and I'd totally go back to playing WoW if I had that kind of money. 2 "Real life is just a crappy game." QuirkyUsername 1,576 September 22, 2013 Share September 22, 2013 Played WoW as a hunter but didn't really enjoy the game. Flip flopped through a few MMOs but nothing really stuck so far. Cautiously optimistic for Wildstar though. An Old Head 4,816 September 22, 2013 Share September 22, 2013 We actually have a thread where people discuss their favourite MMOs - you might want to peruse that and see if anything looks interesting. I used to play well known games like Runescape, WoW, and Wizard 101. Also, I've played games like Vindictus, Warframe (actually, message me if you want to get into playing this! c:), and Dragon Nest. Warframe and Dragon Nest have been worth my time, and I'd totally go back to playing WoW if I had that kind of money. Dragon Nest is very fun indeed. I'd recommend that, OP. It feels like a PS2 game and quite a standard MMO, but that's the brilliance of it - it takes the successful elements from every browser MMO, every console MMO, and creates a mosaic that becomes therapeutic and enjoyable.

Xievie 498 September 22, 2013 Share September 22, 2013 I used to play Runescape years ago, but got bored with it and quit. I sometimes play Adventure Quest Worlds every now and then. Other than that, I don't play MMOs much. I am a big fan of Artix Entertainment. Actually, I made it into the well known, unofficial "AQW Ambassador" helpers guild in the game. (I was an extremely experienced player for sure.) Though, I eventually quit due to the lack of things to do, and how it was mostly a dress up game with no challenge. Once you play enough, you could probably solo kill just about everything. However, if you want a game to be dedicated to, AQW is NOT the game you want to play. It's turned into a dress up game full of younger players. It's got no challenge whatsoever. I mean, to casually play or hang out, it's okay, but if you plan to play for hours and hours, might as well play something a bit more hardcore. Still a cute little game where I had memories on, but it's golden days were over a long time ago. 2 "Real life is just a crappy game."
Zygen 6,066 September 22, 2013 Share September 22, 2013 Well I really don't play mmos much anymore currently. I play lots of handheld stuff (pokemon mostly) and like league of legends, and some minecraft and for now that's mostly it. I use to play a few. Over the years I've played Adventure quest worlds,(which I never got into that much) Runescape(played as a member or like two years but quit after that, I was bored, never even got any 99's.) I also played a small bit of dragons nest, but then quit after my friends started playing other things, thought about playing again but my current computer sucks to much. I also played global agenda for a bit, it was fun but my friends stopped playing, and idk I just haven't played since. Plus I don't have a computer for it anymore. I played the old republic off and on for like the year membership I had, but after it ran out I didn't feel like renewing it, and my computer again can't run it anyways. It was kinda disappointing for some reason. And I guess that's about all the mmos I played Atleast that I can think of off the top of my head. Of course unless you count league of legends I currently don't play any. I don't have a lot of time for them to be honest with Band, school and stuff. 1 Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! the lazy one 7 September 22, 2013 Share September 22, 2013 Currently playing Planetside 2, an mmofps, might not be what you're looking for, but I find it enjoyable. I tried some Warframe, but it seemed somewhat confusing to me, so I didn't go any further with it. World of Tanks is enjoyable too, and so is Star Wars the Old republic. I've got an account on both, not playing either that much at the moment though. They are all free to try.
Darrala 269 September 22, 2013 Share September 22, 2013 (edited) Well, here's a list of what i have: Continent of The 9th Seal (It's pretty fun, but i just lost interest to it. Give it a shot, maybe you'll like it) Warframe (It's fun at first, but gets very repetitive, be prepared for lots of grinding. I really like the design though, the warframes look so fucking badass) APB Reloaded (Gets boring pretty fast IMO) Champions of Regnum (Really, really generic feel to it, wouldn't recommend) Fallen Earth (Kind of like Fall Out 3 in an MMO setting. It's nowhere near as awesome as it sounds) Star Trek Online (Trekkies will probably love this, it was interesting but i just got tired of being in combat all the time) War Thunder (It's "free". You might want to throw some money into it though) War Thunder is pretty much the only one i play though and i don't play that much either, it's pretty harsh to new players, better get used to flying inferior planes against much better players, at least if you don't want to use any real money to it. It's kind of pay-to-win to be honest. I do like it though, it's got dogfighting and it's got WWII. Put those two together and i'm sold. Jessper 735 September 22, 2013 Share September 22, 2013 (edited) Well, since you said MMO, rather than MMORPG ... Warframe. Third person sci-fi action with a bit of RPG. That game is a bit hit or miss and is currently in beta, but it's absolutely free (unless you decide to shop in the cash shop, which has almost nothing you couldn't get by just playing) so it won't cost you anything to give it a shot. I'll not describe it any further, since you can simply find and download it to test it out or read on it. I'm currently really absorbed by this game. I honestly never felt such an enjoyment in any action or shooter game. There is something magical about space-faring mecha-ninjas, sprint-sliding, running on walls and jumping high into the air, shooting with double-pistols and then slicing someone in two halves with a huge axe as you land. KirbyFluttershy 2,524 September 22, 2013 Share September 22, 2013 Well There's Final Fantasy XI for xbox360, PS2, and PC & Steam, but It's Pay to play. First timers will be on trial for 1 month I believe. In order to play further in the game, You just need both square-enix account and playonline ID and as well some of the money for monthly fees. Of Course There's Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn if you're interested in playing that, but I don't know how people first play the game and All I know is that you need a square-enix account. I'm not recommending Maple Story because I've seen a lot of complaints coming from other players in that game. If you wanna play it, Go ahead and Be my Guest. It's Free to play if you asked me, but People say that the game is pay to win (whatever that means) and The Game Lacks Endgame contents. All the game does is Just Farming and Level Grinding which is boring also The Warning parts of the game are Hackers, Exploits, and False Bans. Yeah both hackers and exploits may happen oftenly. There's Ragnarok Online 2 on Steam. I've seen a few people play it, but I never seen what the game is like. Trickster Revolution is out of the question because some company or publisher called SG Interactive are no longer publishing the game for now since Feburary 27, 2013. Yeah, Maple Story is pretty bad. The controls are terrible, too. The game IS pay2win. Basically, you can pay to have an unfair and/or substantial advantage over other players to the point that the game just isn't fun for you or other players. Like a lot of other Nexon games, Maplestory involves a lot of farming and grinding with little/no endgame. Not saying Nexon is bad. I mean, Nexon brought us Dragon Nest, and that game is AMAZING. Maple Story just isn't a very good choice. "Real life is just a crappy game."
LightRaider 148 September 22, 2013 Share September 22, 2013 Not sure if it's been mentioned before, but Planetside 2 is a pretty sweet MMO. 1,000s of people all battling at once? Yes pelase. Only problems with the game is that it's hard to run well, and there's quite a grind for new weapons.

At least in my opinion. What server do you play on, and what's your faction? On topic. There's also Lord of the Rings Online, but I don't know what it's like right now. It's been a while since I've played it. There's also a plethora of smaller mmorpgs that may not be known by the general public. Eden Eternal is an example, the only one I can remember, but you probably have to an anime fan to play that one.
