Head canonn and a grim dark idea, the best one I ever had.

Now i'm putting this in sugar cube corner cause this would never fly on the show.

But it's still i feel an awesome idea.

And despite being grim dark its not necessarily about blood and guts.

 

Okay 1000 years ago star swirl the bearded was Princess Celestia's apprentice. 
I know what your thinking "Oh is this gonna be a discord thing?"

It could be, but that's been done.

 

But this is the odd thing.  For 1000 years, Prinesss Celestial "allegedly" hasn't had another student. 
who buys that?

 

I think alot people assume or at least find it possible star swirls life likely didn't end well.

Huge expectations, unreasonable expectations,

 

How many times do you think Princess Celestia's trails so to speak took a pony, chewed them up and spat one out?
And i know what your gonna say,

"Oh Uncle No Good, if that was true their would be some story, of it happening,

some sign they existed."

And it hit me.
There is a highly magical race, of what may well use to be ponies, a race that seems to carry a mysterious grudge against ponies every where.

 

So what if the changeling Race were all of Celestia's cursed failed students over the years?  Cursed if you will

 

Who else wouldn't the changeling queen be unable to fake nice while trying to blend in?
Why else would her Hatred be so unreasonable strong not just in her but her entire race?

 

I mean She does beat Celestial, what if she was star swirl?  Leading an army of his fellow failed students on a march on the holy land.

 

I mean the show would never do this, just kick around the idea ^^.

well the star swirl part was just a tac on.

 

I mean if all the changelings are failed apprentices,

the changeling queen would have to be some one extra special.

 

That wouldn't have to be star swirl.  Making star swirl would be the most efficient and laziest way of doing it lol.

 

And i like the "intrigued but not liking it."

i've seen people sat through

Elfen leid who hated it just cause they had to know what happened.

Celestia probably has had students, just not 'personal protege's'. I bet Cadence was one for awhile as she was a pegasus before so probably wasn't fully able to use her horn to call her magic when she became an alicorn.

It's an alright idea, but there are a few problems.

1. To what we know about Star Swirl, he was male not female. It's just odd that he would become a female.

2. In the episode Hearts warming eve, Star Swirl has his own pupil, Clover the Cleaver and that play was before Celesita and Luna. So he is already a master at this point and would not become a pupil again.

3. Changelings don't hold any grudge towards ponies. They hate every race and just want to eat their love. The comics have shown us already that they kill anything that has love.

4. It's hard to believe Celesita had an army of failed students. You think after the 5 or 6 going evil, she would most likely give up by that point. Also I believe Celesita would at least try and help them and not just throw them out.

So this idea needs a little more work before I believe.

Watch hearts warming eve again. To what it looks like they are having a funeral for a pony. Also they aren't going to just kill a pony a pony. It's a TV-Y rated show. There are just certain things you can't do in this kinda show and death is one of them.

Precisely why I said "I guess that won't matter shortly." Many characters have fan names, which end up being the name everyone knows them by. It doesn't mean the name is right. If the writers decide to give them another name, that is the correct name. Or they get a name from merchandise or some other official source, like DJ-Pon3 from the original Equestria Girls advert/music video (many fans still call her Vinyl Scratch, justifying it by saying DJ-Pon3 is only her stage name) For me, Derpy is actually Derpy, because she was called by that name in the show itself, before Derpygate hit. Trixie was never given a second name in the show, but from the merchandise, we know that her second name is Lulamoon, so Trixie Lulamoon it is. Unless, of course, they gave her a different second name in the show...

 

For all the other fan named characters, the fact is that technically they are unnamed. That just gets conveniently forgotten so that we can all know who we're talking about, but it's still the truth of the matter.

 

I believe Colgate is actually called Minuette in the merchandise. Carrot Top is actually Golden Harvest.
