How can Luna be in more than one dream?

Ok, correct me if I am wrong, but after seeing the episode where Scootaloo was afraid, and Luna visited her in the dream, she said since she was the Princess of the Night, she could be in dreams. Now, that made me wonder:

How could Luna be in more than one dream? Or did she mean she can only be in a dream at a time? If she can vist more than one dream, than HOW? Is it some sort of magic, or does she have clones somehow?

Correct me if I am wrong, please. So, what do you think?

Luna is able to get in more than one dream because, maybe she is able to sense all of the dreams that all ponies have around Ponyville. So she is able to go into more than one dream, if possible with her magic.

I'd imagine that luna can create contructs that share some of her senses that an explore the dreams of other ponies and highlight Ponies that might be in distress and worthy of an actual audience/attention.

 

Kind of like how she created the "shadowbolts" in the pilot. only these would either her likeness or an ability to blend into the dream they are exploring as disrupting it may wake the pony up.

Well, since she's an alicorn, I'd assume she has the power to be in more than one place at once. This might come up sometime in Season Four, though. We'll have to wait and see.

there's multiple possibility; The multiverse theory, the uncertainty principle, quantum mechanics and maybe some time traveling (which is possible in Equestria)

I like how we can time travel right now, only it really sucky and we can only slow down time going forwards.

 

if you syncronise your watch to a place, then get on a plane and fly as high as possible (nearly entering space) at a certain speed the effects of gravity cause time dilation so that time in the plane is slower than it is for everyone else so that when you land again, the clock with be ahead of your own watch by a minute or two.

 

I've also read this may actually be a problem for folks who ever manage hyper space flight, by the time they do a long trip, moments have pass for them but buts been years for everyone else.

Maybe Princess Luna is the ultimate multi-tasker? 

 

Perhaps its not her "entire" self that appears in any given dream.  There was a moment when I couldn't tell if Luna was really present or if that was the product of Scootaloo's overactive imagination.  Luna may have the ability to program her presence into a pony's dream and thus she's not "all" there.  Totally invading somepony's mind would probably violate one of the principles of being a good princess anyway.

Actually, dreams usually only last for about two seconds, even if it seems like a long time for you. So she might be just travelling into thousands of dreams everynight.

Luna is like the head honcho of LSD trips, paint huffing mishaps and dreams. So like anytime one of those ponies is on a LSD trip, or having a paint huffing mishap or a dream, Luna interjects herself in the situation to teach the said pony a lesson.

 

I mean, seriously though. I bet a lot of the ponies (with their utterly stressful lives and all *sarcasm*) are injecting large amounts of LSD into their system to fight off their everyday issues! 

So Luna, being the Mac Daddy of Heimlich County she is, involves herself in the said ponies LSD trip and attempts to teach them a lesson. This MUST be done if Luna ever wishes to get all the drugs for herself.

 

Or, Luna is just really fucking bored and must use her powers to rape people's minds in their most vulnerable time (When they are sleeping, doing drugs, or huffin' paint) 

That episode with Scootaloo is a perfect example, we all know Scootaloo does drugs. It's obvious. She has no parents, barely any friends and no full DVD collection of the television show "Everybody Loves Raymond".

 

I mean, can't you see Scootaloo sitting on her little scooter thing tokin' a doobie? I can. And that's why Luna invades Scootaloo's dreams, to get her weed man. It's just that simple!

Magic works alongside science in the MLP-verse. Of course we need an explaination! And everypony knows Santa uses a pocket reality to visit everypony in the space of one night.

Why? It's a magic spell that helps her be in every dream at once. That's really all you need, I don't see why you'd expect such detailed "science" explanations in My Little Pony. Also, saying the opposite of what I said but putting it in bold doesn't prove anything.

This isn't real life, though. Finding information and asking questions is great in real life but. who cares about the specifics of a fictional universe that has magic in it?  The answer to the question is just really obvious, in my own personal opinion. That's just me, though. You guys can discuss it if you want but, I gave my answer,

Because I like talking about the show. This isn't the "Let's Discuss How Magic Works in the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Universe" forum. It's just the My Little Pony forum.

But is it though? does Luna need to be asleep herself for it to work? Can unicorns use there horns while sleeping? its it easy like levitation or hard like the wings spell? its it a natural ability only she has? Can she teach it to anypony with the skill & ability?

 

We know its magic and powerful. but we know magic types are unique to individual ponies and some are much harder than others and beyond some completely. We know these thing simply from listening to Twilight while she both does magic and talks about it.

 

Just saying "magic" and not asking and discussing the questions is just copping out.

Well most likely seeing as there is only 1 Luna, she can only enter one dream at a time. I have a few ideas on how she does it.

 

1. Luna use astral projection and her soul leaves her body and enters the dreams of other ponies.

 

2. Luna just opens a portal to the dream world and just walks to the pony that is having bad dreams.

I guess there's some sort of dreamscape matrix Luna can enter to quickly go from one pony's dream to another. I'm not entirely sure how she does it, the whole dream entering ability was kind of just made there without an explanation on how it works. Just like Pinkie Pie and her randomness. She just does.
