Do you think the EOH should be used anymore by the writers?

I know that some people were upset over Sunset Shimmers defeat in the Equestria Girls movie because it was unoriginal. It didn't bother me, but whatever. So would you rather other methods be used without reverting to the basically god mode EOH? Some people see it as a cop-out. That's likely why they ended the Crystal Empire two-parter with Cadence/Shining Armor beating them when the mane 6 were unable to get to them, but then went back with Sunset Shimmer

Personally I think it would make for an interesting episode to see an enemy that is either 1:Unaffected by them, or 2: Can overpower them, forcing them to find another way to beat them.  Then the fact that they were used again wouldn't bother people..............except Discord fans who will call BS.  (Insert theory that Discord LET himself be captured here tongue.png Let it go just long enough for ponies to feel safe, then bang. He busts out when HE felt like it)

We should have a villain that cannot be banished or destroyed or redeemed by them but it would hurt him so the mane six use the EoH to "Push" The villain into some kind of a portal to Tartarus before it closes

I don't mean to make comparisons but I would like a villain to appear that is similar to MoJo JoJo from the Powerpuff Girls. MoJo was the girls main villain and was very determined to destroy both the Powerpuff Girls and the world. I think they should make a villain that would fit the role, a villain that would be persistent in trying to take over Equestria as well as trying to defeat the Mane 6, only for him or her to fail. There also needs to be a villain that can't be reformed, I understand this is a show meant for young children but reforming every villain will do more damage than it will help as the show progresses. If the villains become popular and are powerful then all reforming them will do is  one: make the Mane 6s side overpowered as well as decrease the likelihood of seeing these villains and older ones return.  So far Queen Chrysalis and her changling army are the only main villains left (that we are aware of) and that needs to change.

I get what you're saying, but a recurring main villain is definitely not going to happen, with the exception of minor antagonists like Diamond Tiara, because at the end of the day MLP FIM is about, you know, friendship. It's about conquering doubts and fears through working together. The occassional bad guy to defeat may help show an aspect of friendship, but since you brought up Mojo Jojo, MLP is not the powerpuff girls, about an action series of beating up bad guys and sending them to pony jail.

The series mostly focuses on self-contained slice of life stories, with a bit of education and lessons to be learned. So we shouldn't expect a lot of evil people.

As for unreformed, we don't know if Chrysalis was truly EVIL, or if she had just gone mad from hunger and the desperation to put food on her subjects tables. Her overbearing arrogance may have come from the emotional high of finally getting a fitting meal.

And do we even know if King Sombra is actually dead? He DEFINATELY has no chance of reformation. Sure, he seemed to get blown in to a bunch of pieces, but his horn got chopped off earlier and it regenerated by the time the shield came down for good.

I know that MLP and PPG are vastly different shows with different moral. When I said that a villain should come along that is similar to MoJo, I don't mean he or she should be a mirror image but instead a villain that has taken a deep hatred toward the Mane 6 and tries to better all of them, sort of like Trixie only not limited to Twilight. And I understand that the show tries to teach the lessons of friendship, but giving the illusion that any bad guy can turn the other cheek if you show them compassion is a bad moral, Its ok if the villain was never evil or misguided but not every bad guy is evil because they are misguided and I feel kids should learn and understand that there are those out there you can't simply change with kindness.

Okay, I see your point, but it still isn't going to happen. A recurring villain wouldn't work in this type of show, unless they were as pathetic at crimes as the amoeba boys.

I don't know if you have ever heard of Digibrony, but he does FIM analysis and episode reviews. In one of his analysis videos he comments... You know, I tried explaining it, but I had to erase it so because it would make a lot more sense for you to just watch the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35Q9UdcDhug

As is?  Hell no.

I wouldn't mind if they did something individually.  Like little things.  things that might even cause problems.

Keep in mind their the elements of Harmony.

Does harmoney need to be used against a bad guy?  Course not.

I would like to see the down side of to much harmoney.

I mean.. seeing as how discord works for the good guys now,

it gives us an excuse for discord.

Yeah Digi's video is really good and I agree with him about how Equestria works morally. It's also good that he correctly points out that the battle is really between Discord and Twilight for control of her friends. Even if the EOH aren't used the bad guys still need to loose at the end of the day. Edited by Nature Spell
