CONGRATULATIONS EQUESTRIAN WARRIOR! You have been called to a distant land, deep beyond the Everfree Forrest, To participate in the third Dark Tournament of Equestria! You, and fifteen other of this nation's finest fighters have been given this very special invitation to join in the blood bath! Of course, in compliance with the dark tournament rules, participation is not an option for you, so get ready for the fun time of your life!

Nothing's more fun than blood and guts, but we still need guidelines to make things run smooth:

Each warrior will compete tournament style in our special bracket. Four bloody victories and you win! What do you win, you ask? You can have one wish for anything you want from our honorable tournament committee!

The fight is won when one of three criteria are met:
The opponent is dead
The opponent has been out of the ring for more than ten seconds
The opponent has been on the ground and not standing for more than ten seconds (However, if your opponent is incapacitated we encourage you to finish him/her off for the enjoyment of the fans. We musn't forget our torturing!)
AND THOSE ARE THE RULES! You may bring one of any weapon you want!



Dark Tournament 1 Recap:

Sixteen Warriors were called to participate in the first Dark Tournament. Among those sixteen were Standoff, a brutal fighter who quickly became the crowd favorite; and Swordpoint, a commonly hated contestant who showed mercy to all his opponents. Those two fought through the ranks and met each other in the championship round. Big Shot, the greedy head of the tournament committee, bet his entire fortune on Standoff's victory. Rail, the tournament director, bet the same on Swordpoint's victory. When Swordpoint won, Big Shot was ruined and Rail's fortune was doubled. No one knew what he wanted with all that money.

Dark Tournament 2 Recap:

Sixteen warriors are called to participate in Dark Tournament once again. Among them are many of the surviving veterines from the first tournament. However, the returning champion, Swordpoint, is surprisingly defeated before the semi finals can even begin. In the end, Sole becomes champion over the fifteen fighters.

However, the tournament did not conclude. Rail revealed his plan to put half of his entire fortune on the line in a bet between the champoion Sole and his own fighter, a sadistic and evil creature named Mason who had been used to carry out wicked deeds behind the scenes. If Mason won, Rail would have a of fortune nearly four and a half times Equestria's gross product, enough money to to complete his plan to plunge Equestria into chaos for his own twisted amusemnt. Luckily, Sole narrowly won his fight and Rail took his own life in a dramatic final act. He destroyed the entire arena along with himself and his legacy, leaving his daughter, Topaz with what remained of his fortune.

For three years the Dark Tournament was all but forgotten, until an older, more mature Topaz brought back her father's evil tournament under new management.



Meet this year's staff:

Topaz: The tournament's owner, announcer, and a member of the Tournament Committee. Armed with half of her father's old fortune (which is still a ridiculous amount of money), she has brought back the once forgotten tournament. She is known for her cute looks and peppy attitude, however, the events of the second tournament have created a sadder reasity beneath that smile.

Juri: The tournament's most recognizable refferee, this young, blue pegasus is Topaz's best (though slightly less intelligent) friend. She's a bit of a ditz and a coward, but she's easy on the eyes, and that's all that really matters in a Dark Tournament Ref.

Gatasubal: Replacing the tournament's previous security chief, Gatasubal is an enormous, autonomous robot with multiple, tentacle like appendages, stumpy but sturdy legs, and a nearly impenetrable, metallic shell. His cold calculating, yet respectable personality make him the ideal machine to keep the tournament's miscreants in line.

Grant: Topaz was uncomfortable taking on the duty of Tournament Director, so she left it to this spiffy business-stallion. Grant is a pampered white unicorn with an inflated opinion of himself an an ego that can barely fit inside of the Dark Tournament Stadium. However, he's also an intelligent business-stallion who built his own fortune from scratch. His current goal is to outsmart Topaz and cheat her out of her fortune.

All sixteen players will be given a bracket before the tournament starts. I will have several fights going on at a time to keep things running fast. If a character doesn't respond in 48 hours, he is disqualified.

No Mary Sues
No unreasonably powerful abilities
No inter-dimensional portals

Did you read the rules? You probably should. There's a pretty important one that says "Only Pony, Griffon and Donkey OCs"
