Nope, that would be too obvious. Nik isn't out to be a jerk just because, every move he does is calculated...unless he's mad or said foe is a ground/rock/steel/fighting type, then he's just a jerk. In this case, it's the mad part. Nik hates being woken up from his naps to say the least. He just wants to chase her away right now, if he wanted to hurt her, he'd use Pain Split

@, I don't think that Pain split does what you think it does. It adds up the two Pokemon's HP, and then it divides it evenly. So unless that he got injured or the other Pokemon was considerably more powerful, it wouldn't do much if anything.

Nik's moves are garbage copies of the original, his Pain Split just gives the foe whatever thoughts he is thinking at the time, which could be something as horrible as "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"

No, Foresight doesn't affect Protect but since Dusk moved out of the bubble, it is of little consequence

Ghost types can phase, that's the explanation I have. The point is, that Amaya set up Protect but then Dusk gets up in Nik's face so unless the Protect bubble is moving with him, he's outside. If the bubble does move with him, then Nik is bluffing

That's how I assume it works too but it's Amaya casting Protect, she'd have to move in synch with Dusk to keep him safe

So we can agree that nik is just bluffing right now? On the other hand....does this RP go by Anime rules or Game rules? Because in the Anime, there were times when Protect barriers were shattered, usually in the Movies but sometimes in the show. If this follows Anime rules, Hyper Beam is certainly powerful enough to warrant at least some strain

Yea, we agree on the bluffing. And probably anime rules, because amaya is already stretching things as it is. Since Proyect is a short term move, one hit from hyper beam would shatter is, absorbing most of it and probably a little bit of the HB hitting its target. Something lie that?

Probably. Since Nik's Hyper Beam works in reverse, ergo, the recharge time is before the attack not after it, he won't be helpless after firing it
