That One Techpriest You Used To Know

@,

Sad pathetic or "He sucked" kind of pathetic?

The annoying part is that Hatchiyack's OVA was part of an arcade game that was only released in Japan

@,

Yeah, it was a "pick your adventure" game. You picked different options, different scenes showed.

Three endings were there, the first and canon one is the one I said. The second just has him getting killed in a beam struggle, his last words being "Revenge, revenge!". The third has Hatchiyack literally tearing apart from the inside. Turns out that eating the grudges of billions of people was a bad idea when not all of them hold the their grudges.

Weirdly enough, he appears in Raging Blast 2, an American DBZ game. Unless you watched the OVA, you'd have no clue who Hatchiyack is

Too bad the only clips you can see of him are the crappy rereleased versions that changed the story completely

I feel like Rune should learn a lazer move, so he can dramatically point his sword and blast people.

Nik's just gutting himself to learn how to use Slack Off better and creating clones

@,

Nik's a lazy bum, he gave up after 5 minutes and then got distracted by disciplining his Substitutes

He'll probably tell her, just to better a devise a strategy on how to beat Dusk. He's probably going to say that they glitch often and he has to smack them a few times to get them to work

I just realised something. Why didn't Nik use Teleport to find Melissa?

I'm going to bed now. Night.

@,

Good point, let's leave it up to PIS, plot induced stupidity. I am not going to retcon several posts

Eh, I don't know. Gallade can only really learn Hyper Beam, and I don't really like that move simply because it's low accuracy and has 150 power, but you have to rest the next turn. I wouldn't mind him getting pistol swords though, that would be badass.

@,

Hyper Beam's accuracy isn't that low, it's better than Dragon Rush or the like for example.

Yeah, but it's less than 100, and with the period of rest afterwards, it'd be more effective to use two moves with higher than 75 base power in two turns.

@,

Except that Hyper Beam is learned by lots of Pokemon, is easy as hell to use, looks badass, and is only resisted by ghost, steel, and rock types. Most people don't carry those (At least in Gen 4)

Normally I agree with Suitaloo (Unless we're talking broken Gen 1 mechanics, then HYPER BEAM ON EVERYTHING), But I feel like pointing out that Hyper Beam does have its uses.

Most notably, I'm thinking Gen 6, with abilities like Pixilate or Refrigerate.  Those turn Hyper Beam into Fairy type and Ice type respectively, both of which are awesome for taking out a dragon that's been trying to set up with D.Dance or the like.  Especially Salamence or Hydreigon.  I'd include Dragonite too, though he usually has Multiscale and -might- be able to tank one.

In Gen 4 people didn't carry metagross? I find that hard to believe. But yeah, with Pixilate and Refrigerate it's great for taking down dragons. I'd rather stick to a move that didn't leave you helpless for a turn though. Even set up moves will give you some sort of a lasting benefit for leaving you helpless for a turn.

True, I just feel like the 1 turn recharge is a small price to pay for taking out a D.Dance sweeper.  Just from personal experience using Dragonite, usually one D.Dance is enough to out speed pretty much anything without a priority attack, along with adding in the boost to the attack stat.  Being able to take them out with one shot in the turn they're setting up D.Dance shouldn't be overlooked ^_^

Yeah, but there are better ways to do that. You could easily use thunder wave to make the speed bonus null, as well as paralyzing it. You could also just use Play Rough, which is super effective and could nullify the attack bonus.

@,

Metagross was considered garbage in Gen 4, owing to the fact that everyone and their mother brought along a Pokemon with Earthquake. A single Earthquake would knock Metagross on its ass, compounded by the fact that it was slow made it a victim to anyone with a decently fast Earthquaker
