Joshu felt relief for Kari feeling homesick. "Kari, it's okay to feel homesick. I used to feel homesick until I went to the Kalos region for a few weeks. I had to learn that my parents won't always be there." Joshu looked at his watch and saw that the time read round about 5:00PM. He looked out the window and saw that it was sunset.

"You wanted me to sing Summer's Paradise for you?" Joshu asked curiously.

"You went? And its good that you know where stuff is. I get lost really easily no matter if I've been to the place before or not." Being lost easily is one of Razor's bad qualities and probably wouldn't help her too much in a new school where you pretty much have to remember where everything is in order to get to classes on time. Razor thought for a second when he mentioned cleaning. "Wait.. you were one of the ones cleaning? Could you have been.. the-" Razor paused "the 5 armed monster?!"

"WOAH!" Lolita took a step back once seeing a duskull gijinka appear though the ceiling. But she recovered from her scare pretty fast, excited and happy to see her new roommate, who seemed to be a trickster like herself. "Ooh! Good one! You got me!" She exclaimed. Oooh I think we should through him a party! Because I just met him and I don't know him! And this has to be the best meeting ever because we're going to be super duper best friends! "Oooh! Is this room really haunted though? Because that would be kinda scary but could also be super fun! We could tell ghosty stories, and roast marshmellows..."

"Okay sorry. Here goes." Joshu started to sing with the tune. He had a baritone voice that blended well with the melody.

"Cause I remember every sunset I remember every word you said. We were never gonna say goodbye (singing ladadada). Tell me how to get to- to summer paradise with you, I'll be there in a heartbeat oh (oh oh), I'll be there in a heartbeat ...." Joshu continued singing until the song ended.

After he sang he turned to Kari and said, "You'll get used to being homesick eventually."

"Huh?  Five armed monster..?"  Lhee stares forward blankly as he leads the way to the library, trying to think of what she could mean.  "Umm...  Do you mean Brush-Butt?  He was doing something weird trying to clean while flying around...  I think it was supposed to be impressive, all I know is that I got away with him doing five times as much work as I did..."

 

The Marowak boy chuckles under his breath.  "We had to clean the gym as punishment for fighting...  Brush-Butt really isn't all that great at making first impressions, I take it.  It's going to be a long year having to share a room with that guy..."

 Dusk chuckled a bit and fully revealed himself from the top of the ceiling and floated down towards the both of them.

 

"Naaaw, the only thing haunted by this room is by this ghostly entity." He said doing a small twirl as he came closer and got a better look at the both of them, no thanks to his terrible depth perception.

 

"Nice to meet you both! You already know my name but for introduction sakes, I'm Dusk, your neighborhood Duskull~ Here's to looking forward to a good school year with the both of you." Dusk was already feeling much more chipper than minutes before thanks to the friendly vibe of the room and his mates. He floated on over to his bed and floated down onto it making himself sit on the comfy sheets, twas much different than floating all the time. 

 

"That's mighty convenient, sticking you guys together in the same room. I hope I don't appear as a third wheel." Dusk said chuckling back, a little bit more nervously than he hoped for. He wasn't too familiar with the whole relationship thing, he's never had much experience with it...sure there was a crush back in grade school, but that was about it.

Rune walked towards the kitchen, motioning for Synthia to follow him. He entered the kitchen. It was deserted at the moment. Nobody was cooking or making pokeblocks at the moment, so it wouldn't take a terribly long time. He powered up the mixer and hefted a couple of bags of poffin base in to the mixing bowl. He finished prepping by putting some milk and water in to the bowl and waited for Synthia to come in.

 

Synthia followed him closely, "Umm... So we just... Put the berries in, right? And then we hit our buttons?" She put her basket on the table next to the mixer, and sorted through them, hoping that maybe, just maybe, she'd picked a mystery berry. But of course, she hadn't. They were, after all, pretty rare.

Razor tried to think back to what the scary thing she had seen when she was in the berry garden looked like. Her view wasn't good enough to recognize it as the smeargle she knew. "That was... our roommate? How did he do that?" So I room with someone that looks scary, and someone who has the ability to look scary? So together I'd have to just.. run away and hide? Oh no and if they get together looking all weird and scary with that duskull I'll just have to run out of the school or something. "Does he know some sort of weird move to let him look like that? ..or something?"

"Yeah I hope we can all be super great friends!" Lolita exclaimed and stood in front of Dusk and paused. "Ooh if you're a ghost can I still poke you?" Dusk looked kind of confused so she replied "Because ghosties are like spirits and you can't just go like poke" Lolita poked Koh as an example, "Because you know, you're a ghost!" There was another pause for a moment then she decided she could just try. Lolita's poke did reach Dusk, much to her suprise as she took a step back and opened her mouth. "I.. I poked a ghost! Wow wait until my friends here about that! That's so cool!"

After a good pat on the back by his new island friend he was bombarded with questions from the perky Lolita and was poked before he could think of any answers to her questions. He giggled a bit when she poked him, he was quite ticklish unbeknownst to even himself.

 

"Well technically I'm still pretty touchable...we ghosts handle like every other pokemon, except for the whole...ability to turn ethereal and phase through things. Most think of us as spirits of the undead when really, we're just different beings with different characteristics. I'm more just ghost-like rather than being an actual ghost. It's all sorts of confusing whenever people talk about my type."

 

Dusk said smiling under his mask as he adjusted it slightly, it was beginning to become quite the bother now that he had it on for most of the day. He wonders if they would totally be okay knowing their roommate had no eyes other than the one glowing one... they seem to be pretty okay with him being a ghost at all.

Second, there was a part of him- and she didn't know how dominate that part may be- that he wanted to be the very best, that one one ever was. And third, Amaya was unconditionally and irrevocably sure he was a huge jerk. But Papa always says to be nice and treat others with respect- no matter hard it might be.

'Well...Whatever! what will be will be.' She thought stubbornly. If he was going to decline her help, then so be it.

"Nik," Amaya started carefuly, picking up the discarded tomato berry and pressing it between her palms carefully. "You.. You should go lay down. I could help, too." She did, after all, know Aqua Ring.

Nik swallowed hard, thinking it over. He could accept help, feel better. Or he could keep his pride intact.

"I'm fine" Nik decided, suddenly having an idea. His tail sketched up a baton which he then twirled around before passing it to Amaya. Instantly, Nik felt his stamina recovered while Amaya was now tired. "Sorry, my version of Baton Pass just passes along negative effects. I gave it to you because you have Aqua Ring, so you can heal right after" Nik said, proud that he had devised a strategy where he healed himself but also didn't come off as a complete jerk, at least in his mind. Amaya would be fine once she used Aqua Ring

"Oh! Yes, i'm fine now, Thank you. Your name is Joshu, right? Your singing is quite love...ly?" Amaya began, as a baton was dropped into her hand.

She was inspecting it curiously, when a sudden wave of nauseia and exhaustion washes over her. Amaya dropped the damned thing, and pressed a tentative hand against the fresh pain that grew on her chest from Nik foolishly punching himself. She had offered to help, not be his substitute. The Swanna girl stared at him, and just for a moment, a hurt look spread across her face.

 

She looked away, and held up her hand, a perfect little orb of rings spinning in her palm.

'How...How mean!'

"S-Sorry, Joshu, i mean to say your singing is very lovely!" She smiled kindly up at him. "Your playing too, Damon."

Joshu blushed a bit when he heard Amaya praise him for his singing. He'd done concerts and the like before but those compliments were mandatory. Hearing a friend say that felt good.

Lhee rubs the back of his neck as he thinks back to the gym.  "Well, he was flying...  That kinda puts it out of my expertise...  Ground types don't really do that well with flying..."  He shrugs before looking back at Razor, tilting his head slightly.  He was picking up that something was wrong...  He wasn't really sure what, but he didn't want her to feel upset.  The Leafeon girl may have been afraid of him, but she was the closest thing to a friend he'd managed to make so far without screwing it up.

 

"Hey...  I know he can be kind've a jerk, but if he does start to get to you you can let me know, alright?"  Lhee smiles and thumps his bone club against his skull.  "I've already got into one fight with him, I don't have an issue with calling him out...  And that way you won't need to worry about getting in trouble or anything, alright?"  He stops to open the door to the library before she can answer - they'd made most of the trip while talking, it seemed.

Darius suddenly snaps his fingers, the beginnings of a plan forming in his head.  "Hold on - hear me out on this, but Castform is in charge of the weather, right?"  The Delphox gijinka smiles his sly smile, looking far more like the fox pokemon as he does.  "So...  If he is just hiding and not in any sort of danger, then having someone else mess with the weather might be enough to draw the little one out, so that he could fix it...  Say if one of us were to use Sunny Day, or possibly Rain Dance...  It may be worth a shot, if nothing else, hmm?"

As the vehicle pulled up in front of the Academy, the black-haired Zorua gijinka leaned over to kiss her father's cheek.  "Oooh, thank you for letting me go here, Daddy...  I promise, it's going to be the best!  I can't wait to meet the other gijinka..."

 

The older man chuckled before hugging his daughter.  "Just behave yourself, Zoey...  Don't give me that look, I know how you are.  Now go on, you're already late."

 

Zoe giggles and turns to exit the car.  "Being late on the first day isn't really being late, Daddy...  Bye!  I'll see you over the holidays!"  With that the girl runs around to the trunk to grab her bags.  Admittedly she probably could have done without so many bags, but she wasn't about to leave any of her belongings at home...  Dragging a suitcase in either hand, holding one looped around her tail, and the backpack on her back made for quite a burden, however.  The fact that it was mostly clothes didn't make them any lighter.

 

Starting off towards the Academy burdened as she was, it was slow going for now.  First order of business - find my room and drop off my bags!  Sheesh!

"Sometimes...I don't know why I wear this thing, leaves nothing but marks at the end of the day...though it does give me that mysterious lone ranger vibe sometimes, that's pretty worth it."

 

Dusk chuckled a bit as he rubbed his face.

 

"So then...what brings you two here to this academy? Do you have an ultimate goal or....?" Dusk inquired as he stopped and leaned against the wall where his bed was up against.

The more accurate you are hitting it, the more thoroughly it mixes it. Kind of a weird way to mix it if you ask me, but hey, it's fun." He said with a chuckle.

Mostly along for the ride, going where the waves take me."
