"Alright, perfect. I'm ready to go." Rune said, drawing his sabers. "So, Synthia, did you learn any new moves with your evolution or something? I should probably know them so we can coordinate a strategy of some kind." The Gallade Gijinka said. 'Considering she's evolved, she might have lost access to Helping Hand, which would have been nice to have, but hopefully we'll still be able to take them. I'm not sure what Dusk knows, he could have an awesome or a terrible move set for all I know, and since he's Ghost type, my fighting moves won't affect him.' he thought to himself.

"Hmm, well, I forgot... everything, actually. That's troubling. Here, I need a minute." She closed her eyes and thought about it for a minute. Her ears flicked a little and her head cocked slightly to the left, until, "Alright, got it. I know  Charm, Moonblast, Quick Attack, and Dazzling Gleam. Also, don't touch my ribbons. Any of them. They make people lose the will to fight."

While the two gijinka discussed their moved and such Razor bit into her lunch. Over the partnering ordeal she had thought of asking Dustin to be hers. But Lhee would need a partner, and training with someone scary might help her when mathed against a ghost type or some gijinka else that looked frightening. Two training partners might work out in some way, but shr didnt know when she could bring it upsinxe they had just met the sandshrew. After a temporary break in conversation Razor broke in and asked the gijinka across from her "So.. do you have any partner yet?"

"Alright then. I won't touch them. But that sounds about good. I'm not exactly familiar with Fairy type moves, so those will be intersting to see." Rune said, chuckling. "Well, since you use your bow, how about you attack from afar, focusing on Dusk, while I get in and lock swords with Zach, since half of my moves won't have any effect on Dusk anyway."

"...Thanks? I guess." Rune said, a bit unsure. I mean, it must have just been because he was the only one who hadn't particularly done anything to him, but still, it felt weird having the guy who made you vomit by eating Pidgey fetuses rooting for him. Oh well, it was some extra support at least. "Well, Professor Darius, Synthia, are you ready?"

"If it makes you feel any better, I'm rooting for you" Nik deadpanned. "Dusk tried to choke slam me, Zach called me names, and Synthia killed my children, you're kind of the only one who I can root for" Nik continued, not really caring that he he had turned his moral support around

"Your child was a leech seed you stuck to my head. In my hair. My hair. Why would you put a seed in my hair anyway? It can't grow there, you know. I know this fantastic book in the library: it's called, 'People for Dummies.' Reeeeeeealy helped me out." She shrugged and flashed another thumbs up. The book said people like thumbs up.

 

(Evolution just gave her the courage to apply her knowledge. Unfortunately, all of her knowledge comes from that book.)

"I might have wanted to see your glory without fear of getting choke-slammed by Dusk" Nik said dryly before blinking as Synthia gave him a thumbs up. "What are you doing? Is this some sort of dance?" Nik asked bluntly, raising an eye brow. Synthia was much better when she was quiet

Zach nodded and smiled. "Light and quick, nice! You'll need to cover me while I... dance... I need to set up so Razor Shell can do some nice damage. Hopefully while you put on some nice damage and status ailments I'll be able to get strong enough to bulldoze. You ready? You'll do fine." Zach used Razor Shell on his swords, covering them in a blue, solid glow. He didn't want to forget beforehand, else he actually use the blade itself. That wouldn't go over well.

"Rrrrrrready!" She grins, pulling out her newly refurbished bow. She finds a way to sling her quiver over her back and courtesys to Dairies, to further signify her readiness. "And afterwards, we can have a Chinese fireworks display, right in our friendly neighborhood courtyard."

"Okay I can make a good distraction. Maybe if I can catch them off guard...I can put them to sleep.. I'll use Will-O-Wisp as a last measure.." Dusk said nodding to Zach and their plan. Dusk floated a ways away next to Zach and faced their opponents with determination. His first battle of the school year...and already it was intense. He waited for a move, a signal, some kind of indication so they could begin. He was nervous and anxious...but in a way pretty hyped up as his adrenaline started to pump within him. This would be interesting.

Darius looks over the combatants, a small smile on his face as he silently records which students were already starting practice.  He gives a small nod when they all seem ready, his wand sliding out of his sleeve to rest in his palm.  Just in case he had to step in.  "Begin."

"I believe I have the first move." Rune said. He started charging power in to his right fist as he started dashing towards Zach, aiming for a blow to the midsection. He made multiple feints while charging in an attempt to throw off Zach, unsure if it would actually do anything. Hopefully it would.

Zach jumped backwards as soon as Darius had said begin and had let go of his swords. The swords floated in the air and touched each other's ends, surrounding Zach in a slight red glow that quickly faded. He had just caught his swords when Rune was already in front of him, catching him with a clean blow to his stomach. Zach stumbled backwards and fired a Scald in the direction of Rune before he began creating clouds in the arena.

Synthia grins and shoots an arrow up in the air. "Wait for idiot." It blew up, producing a Dazzling Gleam. "Bingo. Fireworks." There's a slight eastward draft. It's also slightly upwards. That'll effect the shot a little, but it'll be bad if I accidentally hit Rune....

Dusk immediately darted off seeing it as an opportunity to strike. He wasn't the fastest here, in fact he was the slowest. Though upon seeing Zach fire off a Scald and taking the first blow he took the chance to fly around a bit. He needed to observe his opponents closely and considering Synthia was now a fairy type, he wouldn't do well squaring off against her, though thanks to that first clash Zach made a good distraction.

 

Seeing an opportunity to unleash a move he daringly got closer to Synthia after she fired off her own move. He came dangerously close as he unveiled his face a unleashed his Hypnosis on her, hopefully at this dangerous distance, he'll be able to at least out one of them to sleep.

Rune recoiled at the Scald. His face was badly burnt. It would sting for a while, but he could still fight. Since he was still in close quarters, he decided to follow up with Close Combat, which in addition to the boost he gained from power-up punch, could do loads of damage. He could only hope that Synthia was able to land a shot with her bow in the cloud of steam, and was able to take Dusk.

Zach narrowly dodged the flurry of punches as he rolled to the side. He clapped his swords together with a shower of blue sparkles, and the clouds that had formed in the gym opened up. Water began pouring down and Zach could feel himself getting stronger. One of his blades glowed an even brighter blue and he hurled it in Synthia's direction, while keeping one in case Rune decided to attack with his sabers. Hopefully the Razor Shell would connect with the Sylveon. It was hard to see extremely clearly with the rain and the steam, which was now fading after the boiling water had connected.

Dark walked passed the gym, hearing noises from inside he decided to poke his head in.

He see's that it is some sort of fight, and just walks away.

He heads back to his dorm to pick up his laptop and the rest of the pages of his story, before going towards that canteen.

He arrives and sees a few students there, he walks over to an empty table, open and starts his laptop, and after organizing and activating his writer program, he begins writing the story into the laptop, losing himself in his work.

Nik snarled as he brushed away some humidity from his face and coat. "Unbelievable, I preen my face and coat and today it gets covered in water, great" Nik growled as he tried to dry himself off. Ugh, he'd make sure to make Zach pay for that one in their match

Synthia might've been hypnotized, if she hadn't been avoiding being cleave by the random flying sword. "Oh, come now Zack," she charmed, "You don't REALLY wanna fight, do you?" She flipped her hair out of her face with a hand and winked. Then she twirled, ribbons spinning around her.

"Hrrrgh Darn 60% accuracy.." He muttered to himself as he backed away from Synthia. She was trying to use charm on Zach and he had to really start doing damage. Getting the idea from Zach's earlier use of Scald, Dusk figured he should try his hand at burning at some point in the match.

 

As it started to rain inside the gym, Dusk felt the rain drizzle upon him as his clothes got soaked. Though with so much going on and his adrenaline on the rise, it was hard to grasp what was going on, but thanks to the calming drizzle he was able to think a little more clearly. He's been going at this way too frontal and reckless at the start, now it was time to act like a ghost.

 

Dusk flew away from Synthia and instead went straight for Rune. " NIGHTSHADE!" Dusk shouted as he blasted a stream of ghostly energy from the inside of his long sleeves as it traveled rapidly towards Rune. With the help of Zach, it was time to get things really underway. He couldn't explain it but....he felt ecstatic.

As Rune had been focused on finding Zach in the steam, he was surprised when he was hit from the side by the Nightshade. It knocked him back a bit, so he was out of range of a physical attack. However, now that Dusk had drawn his attention, Rune focused psychic energy in to his blades for a Psycho Cut. His sabers began to glow and he swiped his swords in to an X-shape, aiming them at Dusk.

All he could hope for was that Dusk could handle himself against Rune for the time being. Zach ran straight at Synthia, throwing his remaining sword at her as he did so. He continued to run so he could pick up the swords from behind the Sylveon gijinka afterwards, whether the second sword connected or not.

She didn't anticipate him dodging it either: pixilate wasn't very well known yet. As far as which would hit first, it would be Rune. She had spent time knocking that sword down.

Nik snorted. "What a fool, using Quick Attack on Dusk. Doesn't she know what Normal Types do to Ghosts? I didn't see her use Foresight" Nik grumbled, having dried himself off from the water that had stained his coat. Synthia wasn't impressive to Nik, at all
