Nik felt bile rise in his throat and her happiness. God that was annoying. Still, he could tolerate that better than having his tail stepped on. He had to say something clever so he didn't sound like a perv

 

"You broke my tail" Nailed it. "I mean, you just made it hurt, not actually break it" Nik muttered

"If it does come down to blows, Dusk will utterly destroy me. He is like, 10 levels above me" Nik said, dropping his pride(what was left of it) in favor of common sense. "As for off the hook, this is the same Dusk who slammed me against a wall when I accidentally made Amaya a canibal" Nik hissed angrily

He was greeted with the sight of the art-monkey Giji resting his head in one of the girls bosoms, a scary, muscley, desert dweller looking giji standing by steel-faced, his roommate helping his cousin with something or rather and everyone else looking either amused or confused...

"Nope. Bugger this. Back to transcribing my book..."

"No, you'd just make things worse" Nik groaned, painting a picture of what had happened last time he teamed up. "I teamed up with a Squirtle gjinka, accidentally hit it with Thundershock and Volt Tackle when my attacks missed" Nik muttered, wiping off the picture and eating the natural fluid to recycle it

"What happened when the Squirtle got hit? it must have been bad if you didn't have a partner until now." Melissa talked quietly but still loud enough for Nik to hear. Melissa didn't even bat an eye when Nik ate the strange fluid the he made the picture out of.

Joshu left Dark to his transcribing and headed over to Dustin. "Hey Dustin. How are you? Who are these?" Joshu noticed a Leafeon gijinka and a Marowak gijinka. "I don't think I've met you yet. What are your names?"

"He lived...I think. It sent him flying and I didn't see him after that" Nik muttered, realizing that he had left his partner in the desert. That had been a bad idea in retrospect. Oh well, hindsight was 20/20. At least Dusk wasn't killing him....at least not yet it seemed

Amaya pawed at the tears that bubbled at her eyes, willing them to go away.

 

Thank god.

Thank god for sweet, sweet Zoe. Thank god that she was there, and actually did something about the whole mess. What's that? You say that it was her fault to begin with? No.

No. It's my fault. i'm the one who grabbed Dusk so suddenly when Nik decided to pop in. I should have thought it threw more before doing something that stupid.Stupid stupid stupid! And even then, Zoe was trying to help me. 

 

She takes a deep breath, pulling away just slightly from the hug she had wrapped Zoe in.

  "N-no, no...-"  She murmured. A small giggle even escaped her lips at the thought of Zoe biting Nik for her sake. " It's just... this is my first time being around kids my own age...(besides her cousins that is) a-and...t-t-the first time something like...t-that....has happened." Amaya suddenly looked up at Zoe with a nervous kind of look. 

 

The poor Swanna girl looks abit unruly. Her hair was fallen and messy from the fall. Her eyes were wide with pearly little tears tucked into their corners. And her clothes were ruffled and a button had caught and snapped off.

Before Melissa asked her to go get something to eat Lolita gave a genuine apology to Nik for actually hurting him and not just ruffling his fur, which reminded her the tackling had messed up her hair. She brushed a loose piece of hair from her face back to where it fell into place. Now there was a conversation going on. "Ooh flying? Sounds kind of fun! But not flying into a wall."

 

Razor looked up at someone new approaching them. I guess whatever that was really is over with now.. yep Nik has gotten up. "I'm Razor Grass!" She pointed to the gijinka seated next to her, "Lhee"

"Razor Grass and Lhee. Nice names. I'm Joshu." Joshu sat down at the table and asked a question that he had been dreading. "Do any of you have partners yet? Because I don't. Although you and Lhee look like you're already partnered up." Joshu thought about something and began to think about it some more. 'I'm thinking about nothing. Nothing is air nothing is is just an empty void in space. Nothing is just a black hole ...'

Zoe shakes her head, reaching into her backpack and pulling out a small hair tie.  She always carried small things like that on her, in case an emergency came up.  Well, things that Zoey would consider an emergency.  "No, hon, things like that aren't normal."  As she speaks Zoey calmly starts using the hair tie to put Amaya's hair back up into its usual tail, hoping that the gesture would help her relax.

 

She quickly glances back at the others, then looks back at Amaya and smiles again.  "I'm sorry, I may have provoked all of that...  I meant to distract Nik so that you and Dusk could sneak out, because I didn't want to see Dusk get provoked into another fight...  It kinda backfired on me..."  The Zorua girl chuckles quietly before her smile comes back.

 

"I promise if something like that ever comes up again, I'll jump in sooner...  I didn't really expect Nik to turn into a zombie the way he did.  Do you wanna go back to the room and change?  I mean, I can make you look like you usually do until we get there if ya want...  You know, illusions and stuff."

Lhee gave a small nod towards Joshu as he came over to join them, once Razor said his name for him.  Heh, she did the introduction for me this time...  I think she's starting to understand how I think...  When Joshu brought up partners Lhee gives a small shrug, content to let Razor do the talking.

Razor was a taken aback a little by the random points about nothing. "Umm.. well we haven't decided yet. I think Lhee, Dustin, and I are just going to all be partners together, maybe..." she gave a bit of nervous laughter and continued "yeah its not really decided on. But do you have a training partner?"

"No I don't have a training partner yet. I actually haven't asked anyone yet." Joshu was a bit happy that they all don't have partners yet but still a bit sad that he doesn't have his own. He closed his eyes and began to think about stuff. "Even though my eyes are closed I can still hear and talk to you."

When Rune and Synthia arrived at the cafeteria, there was already a scene unfolding. Nik groping some chicks, getting kissed. "Jeez guys, what is this a cafeteria or a brothel?" Rune asked, stolling over to the group. "Well, Nik, I see you have recovered well enough from the battle. That's good at least." He said, absently keying in for a soda pop from the vending machine.

"Eh.. seems like there's a lot of people without partners..." He's Dustin's friend, maybe they can be partners which leaves me with Lhee.. maybe Lhee can be his? But he wouldn't be up for that.. maybe I can be Joshu's partner.. I don't know. "I think I'll wait a bit to really decide though." She pointed out. Maybe something would happen and one of her potential partners found someone.. or something.

Lolita looked to see a really cool gijinka go by, so she followed him to the vending machines and popped beside him.  "Well hello there! I remember you from last year!" She gave him a hug and said, "Nice to see you again! There's plenty of students here who are new, so its always good to see a familiar face!" 
(I'm really positive Rune is a returning student, but I might just be remembering the old roleplay too Dx)

I guess she considers herself my girlfriend now, and if that's the case, then I'd agree with her. If she doesn't, then oh well." Rune shrugged.

"Ooh a Slyveon! Thats so cool! And slyveons evolve with friendship which makes her super duper awesome!" Lolita gave a high five and whispered "good luck with the girlfriend" and winked. What a cute couple! Quietly she sang "oooh Runeys got a giiirl!" Why would anyone not want Rune? She's as good as his.

Rune chuckled as he went over to see his buddy Koh. Rune had a couple of nights where he, Lolita, and Koh would go out and watch the stars and share a bottle. Those nights, though, generally were where some beans were spilled. Maybe because of the alcohol or the cliche of the situation, but Rune had been able to come out to his friends on one of those nights. Getting drunk enough that he actually kissed Koh. They thought it was hilarious in hindsight though, so nothing really changed between them. They were still good friends. "So, Koh, how have you been so far?" Rune asked, sitting across that table from his buddy. "I've been doing fairly good myself, Lolita and I have been hanging out in here. By the way, you did great in that sparring round with the professor. I would have thought only electric-type moves would have been conducted through his wand." Koh said. "Well, to be honest, I didn't know either. I just wanted to see if it would work, since it is called psyshock after all." They both laughed at that. "I've actually just finished a sparring match myself. I paired up with Synthia... That's right! I didn't introduce you to Synthia!" Rune said, facepalming. "Synthia, could you come over here please? I'd like to introduce you to an old friend of mine!" He shouted towards her.

" GAH!" Dusk awoke from his temporary stasis into some sort of day coma. Before he could realize what was going on around him, it had been apparent that Zoey had lead Amaya away to the side with tears in her eyes. Dusk stood up wobbling a bit from his day-coma and shook his head in order to clear the daze from his eyes...er eye... Coming to with a clearer head he looked around the room unaware of the events that had transpired prior to his awakening. 

 

There he stood in the cafeteria trying to collect himself. He stared at Nik and quickly grabbed him by the fur of his coated collar, and being much more physically built, it was much easier to lift him up. 

 

"If I find out you had ANYTHING to do with this, I swear..." Dusk said as the glowing eye slabbed on the front of his blindfold began to flair a deep red. He dropped Nik down and proceeded towards both Zoe and Amaya. 

 

"What happened? I blacked out for a minute there...did I do something bad? Did he do something bad?....Did we both do something bad? If I did ANYTHING wrong please accept my apology.." Dusk said as he got onto his knees and bowed for forgiveness as custom to most Japanese dramas... he can certainly blame his father for that influence.

Synthia was in high-five position standing as if she'd witnessed all the angels come down from high. If she hadn't already evolved, we'd have an Espeon. She twirled towards him and gave him the best flying tacklehug ever displayed in the history of tacklehugs. And that was without the kiss. When she was done with that, she beamed at Kohl and extended a hand, "Synthia, at your service big guy!"

"No, it does not make us anything" Nik growled, wishing to put this whole thing behind him. Even if he was a love starved puppy, he'd go after Amaya, much prettier than Melissa. Then again, maybe his perspective had been screwed over.

"Ugh, just shut up. I really wish I had used Transform to switch bodies with you, it'd be better than getting violated by Zoe and Melissa" Nik hissed, clenching his fists. His pride was in tatters.

"Well, I may have fallen on your girlfriend, thankfully, she cushioned my fall with her softness" Nik snarked dryly, deciding that telling Dusk now would be better than being assassinated in his sleep when Amaya told him. "She is kind of hot, good for you" Nik chuckled, already using Endure for the beating that  was sure to follow.

"Hello there Synthia, I'm Koh." Koh said, shaking her hand. "Pleasure to meet you." Rune smiled. "She can actually handle herself pretty well in a fight, which is great for someone like me, because now I have someone to team with for doubles." Rune said, ecstatic. "I had actually got in to a bit too heated of a battle with that Nik kid over there... He really tore me up, but I did a number on him as well. Well, it wasn't just me, Nik wanted a two-on-one for some reason, so I had Zach with me, but it was still a tough fight." He said, calmed down quite a bit. "So, Synthia and I made some poffins last night. We were at the berry garden and they came out swirled somehow, but it looks pretty good, want to try one?" Rune asked Koh and Lolita. "Sure, I'll give one a try." Koh said, grabbing a single poffin and biting in to it. "Very tangy, but tasty as well. I like what you did with them." Koh complimented. "Hey Lolita, could you come over here please?" He asked his girlfriend.

Dustin looked at Joshu with s slight surprised expression on his face. "Aren't you and Dark friends or something? I was actually pretty positive you guys would've been partners... Huh... Well I'm still not sure either so... meh..." Dustin shrugged and finally lifted his ears, hearing less of an awkward situation behind. He looked around at the aftermath, which was honestly a little weird out of context. There were people who were talking together happily, and then there was Amaya on the verge of tears in the corner. It was quite an odd sight, but decided not to intervene in any way.

Zach walked back into the cafeteria, hoping the whole situation had blown over. The aftermath was quite a sight to see as he walked over to his room mates and Dusk. "I really don't want to know any more of what happened after I left. Like seriously. I almost vomited..."

     Amaya closed her eyes as Zoe combed her fingers through her powdery white lockes. It was a very soothing gesture, that helped Amaya to start and calm down. She wiped away the last stray tear from her cheek, and gave a small, content sigh. She was wanted to tell Zoe, that even if it was just the tiniest bit, she was happy. 

She was happy that her friend has been so ready and willing to rescue her and to comfort her. And that she would do it again without a second thought. It made her happy to have someone, to have a friend like that. But all she could do was smile, and say, "Thank you, Zoe" , in that gentle voice of hers. 

 

    At the moment, simple was better. Especially since big fusses made Amaya somewhat sleepy afterwards, and saying things while sleepy wasn't much her forte. At hearing Zoe's offer to use one of her special illusions over her, she finally took a moment to get a good look at herself. Peeking over Zoe's shoulder, she caught her reflection in a dark window. 

   

    I look... like i participated in one of those gang fights I've seen on TV..And  I lost! She closed her eyes with an embarrassed sigh, and accepted her foxy friends offer. When she opened her eyes again, she found that Dusk had come back to the land of the living, and was up and alert, much to her delight. So lively, in fact he already had the alertness to threaten Nik, before darting over to her and Zoe. Her favorite ghostly friend looked between a mix of Serious Gentleman and Kicked Puppy.... If it was even possible. She watched as he knelt and bowed in front of her, and her eyes widened with surprise.

 

    " Ah...! D-dusk, no you don't have to-" She said, stumbling over her words in embarrassment. Oh, he did have to do something so dramatic! Not knowing what to do, She reached down towards him, and rested her hand on his head, patting it comfortingly. Her ponytail flicked across the back of her neck, tickling it. " It wasn't you, I promise. "

Amaya giggled quietly." Honestly sleepyhead, don't worry me by working yourself up like that. Don't you...?-" Her voice trail off for a moment before her face flushed from embarrassment. Didn't he know...no he didNT KNOW BECAUSE HE BLANKED OUT BEFORE IT HAPPENED. Before she could open her mouth to even barely squeak the words, Nik interrupted, explaining rather bluntly what had happened.She cupped her face in furious embarrassment.

 

" Y-yes...That..."
