"I'm officially weirded out now. Does anyone else get that feeling?" Melissa asked the group.

 

Samantha nodded. "Yeah, it's a little odd, but some teachers are quite... eccentric. With how much stuff teachers have to put up with, and it being a generally thankless job, it can wear on the nerves, so I'm told." She said, finishing off her second egg roll. She could eat more, but she wanted to save some for the other guys. "So who are we still waiting for? We've got me, Dustin, Melissa, Zoey, and Amber. Where's Dusk? And did anyone else come with us?" she asked to nobody in particular.

Samantha sat down in between Dustin and Melissa. "Wait? Who did you say you saw?" She asked Melissa. "I don't see anyone not at the table I recognize. Other than that Glameow girl." Samantha said. "Well, what do you want to do while we're waiting?" She asked, leaning back in her chair, keeping herself stable by keeping her knees under the table, trying to find the center of balance on the chair on her own.

"Alright then, let's get going." Rune said, leading Synthia up the trail. They just enjoyed nature and each others company, drinking in nature as they came to it. "This is a beautiful day." Rune chuckled. "If I was that musically inclined and had something prepared, I probably would have done some kind of a musical number as we climbed this. Unfortunately, I can't sing at all and I don't have anything prepared." He laughed as they continued on the trail upwards. They weren't far from the top, it was starting to get a bit chillier. Rune breathed deep. "I love the fresh mountain air. It's really refreshing."

 

She smiled, then flicked an ear, "Oh! I know!" She reached into her bag and dug through it. A lot of the mass came out as she found (dun dun dun DUN!) a violin. "I'm not as good a violinist as a chellist, but I can still play a few songs for your less-than-musically-inclined ears," she winked.

She smiled, then flicked an ear, "Oh! I know!" She reached into her bag and dug through it. A lot of the mass came out as she found (dun dun dun DUN!) a violin. "I'm not as good a violinist as a chellist, but I can still play a few songs for your less-than-musically-inclined ears," she winked.  

 

 

 

"Wow... That was amazing. I've never heard anything like it." Rune said, stunned. "I'm guessing you chose to learn that kind of stuff back at the labs? It's brilliant. I'm better as a dancer, granted, I see fencing as more of a combative dance anyways, plus I had learned to dance as a Ralts and as a Kirlia. I wonder if there will be a school dance any time soon. There generally is some time near the beginning of the year, but I don't know any specific date." Rune shrugged. "Well, either way, let's save the songs until we get to the mountaintop."

"Oh, fine," she said, over exaggerating it in a teasing manner. When the primary function of your overly controlled life is fitness of the mind and body, you learn lots of things. "However, I'm following you. Not leading you along this road. Lead on, Captain!" She giggled, winking at him.

Rune chuckled. "Alright then, follow me." He said, leading her up the path. It was too long of a walk, they were able to get up fairly easily.

 

They had finally arrived at the top of the mountain, and Rune put his bags down on a flat piece of ground. He went to the very top and planted his foot at the very top and surveyed the land around him. He could see the academy at the base of the mountain, the town a bit further out, he could see for miles. It felt very good to be on top of the world. "Vide terram, tu es rex aliquet." Rune said quietly.

"Ni shou shenmele? What was that?" she asked, ears flicking. "Video terrum, two es rex allquiet?" She cocked her head, "Is that french, or am I way off?"

She sat on the 'top of the world' and tried to ignore the shimmer of the monitering camera nearby. It had reached it's alttitude limit just a few meters back, but she wasn't naive enough to believe it couldn't see her.

She blushed, "Well, I didn't picture much for the romantic slice of cake. More of the tranquil, mysterious slice. Like... pizza; everyone says it's good, but I have never had it. So it's mysterious. You. are like a slice of pizza." She grinned and hugged him, the ribbon in her hair self-securing his flower behind it.

 

"A slice of pizza... Well, I'll say one thing, that's definitely the first time I've ever been called that." Rune said, blushing. "I'm not sure where you're going with the cake analogy either, but whatever." He returned the hug. "And pizza isn't so mysterious. It's pretty good, we should get some once we get back to the school. I like it up here, but if you want to head back down, any time is fine with me." Rune said.

"It's strange and mysterious to me!" she grins,"In Labratoria, we don't have unhealthy food items." She hoped by giving her lab upbring a country name, he'd realize that it was a joke about their culture differences. "And I'm fine up her. I actually wish it were a little higher." Then we'd have some privacy.

'Run, run, run! Must keep running!' With the speed that Charlotte was running at, any sane person would think she was running a marathon. Eventually slowing down to catch her breath she glanced around. Charlotte spotted a Craigily woman sunbathing in the desert. Walking over, she tried not to get in the way of the woman's sun. "Hey. What are you doing all the way out here? Sunbathing?" Charlotte still tookin deep breaths. She's got no stamina whatsoever even though she's only half way back to the school!

Daniel kept on walking aimlessly, his long, black trench coat wavered in the small wind as his purple ponytail flowed behind him; the tip of it dissipating like a vanishing shadow.  Then his journey ended him back near the school grounds at which point Daniel just paused in place to admire the sight of the large academy, the place in which he had resided since he was 19 and here he was 3 years later at the age of 22; a well-built, knowledgeable, powerful and well known Chandelure.  Of course, Daniel wasn't known by everyone, mostly higher-grade students or other ghost type Gijinkas such as: Haunters, Litwicks and one Ghastly to name a few.  "Man, have I really been here that long?" he whispered to himself, "It feels more like two weeks then three years." Daniel finished as he looked at the building a tad long before walking aimlessly once more.

Althaia flipped up her sunglasses. "What am I doing here? I'm generally outside on my time off. I just thought I may as well relax." She said, shrugging. "What's brought you all the way out here? I'm guessing you were in town coming back? Why were you rushing?" Althaia asked.

At this point, Charlotte had gotten enough breath back to speak rationally. "I saw you from back down the road and thought I'd come over to say hi. The reason why I was rushing is because I was heading back to my office to get some paperwork done. I've only got a few bits of paper left to work on then I'll be able to start teaching on Monday."

 

Althaia put her sunglasses back down and stretched. "Well then, I should probably be getting to my paperwork as well. I've only got a bit left." She said. "I wonder if Jon ever got around to fixing that old fossil revitalizing machine. I kind of needed it fixed for this years Archaeology class and it got busted last year by someone who decided it would be a great idea to revive an angry Tyrunt. Dumb kids..." She said as she folded her chair, packed up the cooler and radio. She reached in to the cooler and pulled out a beer. "You want one?" She offered, holding the neck of the bottle.

Charlotte took the offered bottle. "Thanks for the beer. Why would a kid even want to revive an angry Tyrunt? Those things are mean even on the best of days. Oh, about F.R.E.D., when I went to go the town, I heard Jon talking about fixing it up." Charlotte took a swig and led the way back to the school. "Do you want help with anything?"

 

Althaia cracked out one for herself and took a drink. "Oh really? Well that's good. I'm good with carrying all this, it's not terribly heavy." She said, chuckling. "Why some kid would revive any Tyrunt without properly restraining it is beyond me. It's ridiculous. Some fossils are nice to see though, I like it when kids get Lileeps, but maybe then I'm a bit biased." She noted. "I know Aerodactyls are generally pretty grumpy as well when they wake up. Kabuto are generally pretty nice. Archen can be moody, I know Archeops will be very aggressive when you first wake them up, but once you put them in their place, they will mellow out. Tyrantrum though... Boy will they mess up a lab fast. That's why you need either sedatives or some kind of restraints." Althaia continued, taking another drink from the bottle.

Althaia finished off the bottle as they continued down the path, putting the bottle in the pocket of her hoodie. "Yeah, they are pretty cute. It's been a while since I've seen an Amaura though, they come from the Kalos region, which actually is where Darius is from, so he might have seen some of those fossils around himself." She noted.

 

They arrived at the campus and Althaia put her pants back on and zipped up her hoodie. It probably wouldn't be a good idea for her to be walking around in a bathing suit on campus. When she was away from the pool at least. Then again, she was just sunbathing in the middle of the desert on the path between the school and the town, so she didn't really care who saw her, it was more of a rule imposed by the higher-ups. She smirked. 'Mostly to keep the kids focused on their work rather than me.' She thought.

Althaia waved back and left to go finish her paperwork. She arrived in the Archaeology lab and saw Jon and Claudia with a Marowak boy and an Aumara. "So, Jon, it looks like you got FRED back in working order? Good." She scratched the Amaura's head. "He's a cute one. So, Claudia, what do you think of this specimen? Is it healthy?"

Jon was wiping off the sweat from his brow with a stray towel he had brought with him and looked up to the machine to check the condition the little Fossil pokemon was in.

 

"Vitals are fine...seems to have proper awareness of it's surroundings.....everything seems to be in working order...I'll have to fill out it's paperwork later....would you like to give it a nickname?" He asked Lhee as he turned to look at him. Though before he could get a response, a familiar face walked in through the door as she was very familiar with the whole subject herself.

 

"Yes I did....I had help.." He said to Althaia while turning to look at the Marowak boy.

 

Dusk

 

Dusk was gathering up the loose bandages he untied from his body and proceeded to give them to Zoey. He had been following her towards the restaurant and merely kept quiet for a lengthy period of time as the sites of the busy Mall kept him in total awe. Though once they had left it was much easier to think and collect his thoughts.

 

They had been seeing new faces ad new people as yet made their way to their destination of meeting that had him merely nodding and showing a wave every now as then. Once they had gotten to the restaurant, Dusk decided to wait outside for Amaya and Zach to arrive while Zoey went on in and sat with the rest of the group.

 

Dusk kept his hands in the pockets of his jacket and felt a little more confident about his overall outward appearance. Sure he still looked somewhat unnerving with that blindfold and bandages in him, but at least he didn't look like a complete mummy.

"A nickname?"  Lhee looked down at the Amaura that he was still holding, the little pokemon tilting her head back to look at him.  "Uh...  Not yet.  I don't know her personality yet."  "Amau!"

 

Lhee turns his gaze to Althaia, tilting his head slightly as he looks at the older woman.  He hadn't seen her around the school yet, and had absolutely no idea what kind of gijinka she could have been.  He notices when she pats Amaura on the head the little pokemon chimes up again, seeming to like the attention.  Lhee may have been the quiet type, but Amaura certainly wasn't.

 

When Jon turns to look at him, Lhee rubs the back of his neck and leans down to set Amaura on the floor.  "I found her fossil...  I had to help.  Er, wanted to, I mean."  The little fossil pokemon, now that she was down on the floor, looked up at the floating Shedinja curiously while staying close to Lhee's legs.  It would seem the young pokemon had imprinted on the Marowak boy, and she wasn't wandering too far from him.

Chuckling quietly under his breath, Raiga shrugs slightly.  "As I said, you may call me as you wish, Joshu.  I'm not one to get upset easily by something so trivial."  He looks over both Joshu and Dark again before tilting his head slightly.  "My apologies if this comes across as rude, but what brought the two of you to the gym?  Neither of you look as though you came here to exercise."

Joshu turned to look at Dark. "I honestly have no idea mate. Besides, you always walk in a straight line and end up somewhere else!" Joshu pinched the bridge of his nose and looked back at Raiga. "As for me, I was trying to get some sheet music for a composition I'm working on back in my Dorm. I'm going to try and get back there. Bye." He waved to the both of them and exited the gym. Thankfully finding the room, he walked inside and tried to work on the composition.
