Could you use the song "Lie To Me" by Red?

The main storyline is as follows:

A pony is sad and frustrated over having his greatest friend separated from him, so he sings a song to try and help him or her in the tough times he or she got into when the two separated. In the end, the pony is beginning to lose his mind, and goes insane.

Twilight is who I'm mostly thinking about. She went insane for a while. She could have been separated from any of the Mane 6, possibly.
