Quite honestly... No. It always seems to surprise people that I dont watch television, almost as much as the fact that I abstain from drinking. I'm more into community video game live streamers that interact with their audience. It's a lot more fun for me and I don't get bombarded with nearly as many ads.

(Oh, and my news feed reader pick up the news for me. Chances are I've already heard of several big stories before they hit the air waves.)

Yes, but nowhere near as much as I used to. I think in the last month I've watched one, maybe two things on cable tv (besides livestreams of the Hub but I'm not counting those).

Ignore me as this one is gonna make me rant a bit.. pent up since I normally don't go and talk about it... but...

I don't not only due to the ads just being obstructive, but also the price and lack of quality content.

To many crappy "reality" shows abound these days, and very little else worth even mentioning...

For the things I do want at, or enjoy I can just as easily find them on iTunes a day later, or netflix/Hulu.

And yes I said Hulu.  While hulu has ads, its not an obscene amount of them. Also check the timings on episodes, you'll find that they've increased the time for commercials in recent years, and cut back actual shows...

Cable companies say they need the subscription fees to keep ads down, but ad's to keep the subscription fees down.. the cable companies OWN MOST OF THE STATIONS AND PRODUCTION COMPANIES!!!!.... anyone else see the red flag there?

While there are exceptions, the only reason the pricing is so high on any of the availible cable/sat companies is due to excessively high pricing for their content to go on their competitors networks.. I.E. see also "greed"

For the price of ONE month subscription to a cable/sat company, I can get Netflix/Hulu, and an entire season of whatever I like off iTunes (new episodes a day after they air on TV for iTunes and Hulu.) .... wheres my incentive to go back to cable/sat in this?

few to no commercials, I get the shows I like without the fluff and interruptions about "news" and sports I don't want to hear about.. And I can still get the rest on the internet for half the price of the cable/sat.....

Its so bad even my parents dumped cable :P, and they like watching the news and such... Now they just share my Netflix/hulu accounts and call it a day!

I haven't watched anything that doesn't require streaming for a couple years now because I don't pay for any kind of television. I mostly get everything I need from the internet. xD
