MLP Tattoos

If I were to ever get a tattoo I would definitely consider it.... Get one of Pinkie Pie breaking the 4th wall out of your back LOL

I would feel bad giving special treatment to only one though so I'd have to get all of them....

As a tattoo fan I would say I would not be opposed to others getting and MLP tattoo...with the caveat that they should think long and hard about if this is something that will be truly meaningful outside the context of the show. The couple that I do have are serious and lifelong representations of meaningful pieces to me and will be remembered until the day that I die

Like I said it's your body and you should never let anyone tell you what to do...but just make sure it's meaningful...and not just in the context of the show

Here's a saying I've heard a few times. Tattoos are a permanent reminder of a temporary feeling. I doubt I'll ever get a tattoo, and I won't get a pony tattoo. They're expensive, sometimes painful, and they'll get ugly when you're old.

That's going a bit too far for me D:

I don't want any sharp, pointy objects directed at my skin, kthxbai.

The nightmare moon tattoo is amazing. It's simple and beautiful.

Well, I am thinking about getting my OC cutie mark for a tattoo, not because of the mlp aspect, but because it fits what I love, poetry. A quill and an inkwell in the same simple style as that Nightmare Moon the OP posted.

What do you guys think of that idea?

I went and got my first tattoo at the beginning of this month, and I was this close to getting Fluttershy. But, I decided not to get an impulse tattoo (I've known too many who made last minute changes and regretted it) and instead got the one I'd wanted to have since I was 15. If you want to know what it is, look at my avatar. That's exactly what I have right below my left shoulder.

Maybe someday an MLP tattoo, but it will be at least a few years before I get another tattoo at all. Gives me time to decide and make sure, I suppose.

Perhaps I may get a tattoo linked with MLP, a cutie mark or something slightly conspicuous like that. However, I don't believe I would ever get an actual pony tattoo. It would seem sort of odd and I wouldn't be able to disguise what it is if I began to drift away from the fandom. I mean, if I got a tattoo of Dash's mark then I'd be able to make up some badass story about it but if I got Dash herself then I'd have to say..."I used to watch My Little Pony". I don't think I'll ever stop liking the show but out of fear of drifting away in the future, I wouldn't get that sort of ponylicious tattoo.

What do you guys think of that idea?

Your body, your choice. I, for one, believe that if this OC cutie mark expresses what you like and your interests then go for it! You've already said what I would say and that is, to quote: not because of the mlp aspect, but because it fits what I love, poetry. So, yeah I say that is sounds like a pretty good idea for a tattoo.

My husband and I had this exact discussion the other day in the car. We talked it over and thought that while it would be really neat to have a tattoo, he bet me a million dollars I wouldn't go through with it because of my needle phobia. He's probably right. THOUGH. If I were to get one, we both agreed that it would HAVE to be a cutie mark IN the right spot, on my lower hip. Can't be a blank flank forever right? And how cool would that be? Summer time comes around, and the ONLY time someone sees your cutie mark? When you've got on your bathing suit at the beach and you can TOTALLY embarrass your kid. Oh yeah. :D <---Mean, future tense thinking mom. :P Even MORE embarrassing: mom and dad get MATCHING CUTIE MARKS! Like, Cadence and Shining Armors' or Applejack and Big Mac's? Heheheh...So mean.BUT FUN.

I've thought about it before. I really want a Rainbow Dash tattoo, I just have to find the right art style.

A lot of people are saying "no" because "it's a fictional show and will be forgotten about in the future". So what? The tattoo will remind you of a special time in your life. It will remind you of a GREAT show and a GREAT fandom. What does it matter if other people forgot about it? Tattoos are for YOU and you alone. It doesn't matter what everyone else thinks.

Um, probably not, and not because I'm opposed to tattoos or to an MLP tattoo, but I only really want to get one tattoo, if I get any at all, on either my right or left shoulder, and I'd probably have it reflect my love for my favorite video game series, the Halo series. My idea is that I'd get the emblem that I always choose for my Spartan as the tattoo; that way, it'd be both cool to anyone, but also a subtle reference to Halo that other fans might understand. The only other possible subject material I'd choose is either Red vs. Blue (still Halo, just more comedic), or Batman, though I don't know what kind of a tattoo I'd get then.

Wow, didn't realize how many people didn't like tattoos here...

I was thinking of getting a Twilight Sparkle tattoo in a few years, maybe on my upper arm or somewhere

you should definitely get a mlp tattoo. tattoos arent ugly they are a way of expressing yourself. ill probably also get a mlp tattoo one of these days. maybe when i have the extra cash to spare

Personally, I wouldn't, but then, I wouldn't consider getting any tattoos at all. As for the things you posted, though, I think they're fine. They don't look, like, too mlpish, in case you ever change your mind about the show, somewhere down the road, it still looks like a real tattoo, and not something you did on a whim. The Night Mare Moon one is fine. As for the Discord one, though, I think it would be better without the potion. It just seems out of place, and kind of weird. I also might flip his eye upside-down. Just seems like it would be a little cooler like that. If not, though, it's not a detriment to the design, or anything.

I would never get a tattoo, MLP or otherwise.

If you want me to respond, please quote me.

I apologize for any inconvenience but for the time being my MLP stop motion project is on hold.

I would not get a tattoo for anything of this sort. I admit, the Discord is cool simply because it doesn't have to be Discord, it can be any dragon. But never anything at ALL like that Trixie one.
