I'm rather surprised in all the ship teasing we've been getting this season.  Could they be testing the water for future stories in season 5?

Well, we've seen some episodes released before a holiday like Halloween for example. So, I'm guessing the writers wanted to give us a romantic treat on the road to Valentines Day.
