RP Thread

 

Welcome to the world of Pokemon. This world is much like our own except it contains creatures with access to fantastic abilities and powers. These creatures, known as Pokemon, are used for many different things including pets, battles, and research. But some Pokemon are revered as gods.

 

One of these Pokemon is known by many as Arceus, the most powerful being in existence. Arceus has watched over this world for eons making sure everything stays in perfect balance. But lately that balance has been challenged by the other legendary Pokemon who all have their own goals and ideas. Arceus, unable to interfere, has chosen five people that he feels are worthy of the power of these gods.

 

These five will be visited in a dream and asked to choose the legendary Pokemon they wish to follow. With this comes certain goals, abilities, and taboos. Once you have selected your deity you must also choose two Pokemon who you wish to aid you on your quest. After you have made your decision you must do what you can to achieve the goals of your deity and in turn decide the fate of this world.

I'm absolutely joining. 

 

Are you a boy? Or are you a girl?: Well, I'm a girl, but my twin's a boy. 

 

What is your name?: I'm Renee, and my brother's Taylor.

 

How old are you?: I'm about 18. So's my twin, duh.

 

What do you look like?: Let's see. We're pretty identical, except for the obvious anatomical differences. We're both tall, freckly, scruffy-looking redheads. His eyes are green, though, and mine are blue. I guess my hair's a bit longer too. Sometimes I try to bunch it up into a ponytail, but it's too thick for that. Taylor wears a dark green jacket with a white hood and white decorations, purple pants, and black converses. I wear pretty much the same thing, except my jacket's blue. Sometimes we'll take the jackets off and tie them around our waists if it gets too hot. We both wear white tanks under the jackets. It'd just be weird to not wear anything under a jacket.

What region/town are you from?: We're from Lumiose originally, but we moved to Mossdeep City in Hoenn pretty early on.

 

What legendary Pokemon do you wish to follow?: We'll follow the twins, Latios and Latias. Don't get us wrong, we like a bit of mischief, but it's all in good fun. And that's what we're about. Fun, laughter, and harmony.

What legendary Pokemon do you wish to follow?: Celebi. The forest near Azalea is sacred to me. I've always felt something special near the shrine. Nature is something that must be preserved, and time is something that should remain untouched by those who mean harm.

 

Which two Pokemon do you want to aid you on your quest?: My Whimsicott (Ability: Prankster - Moves: Fairy Wind, Mega Drain, Stun Spore, Poison Powder), a lovely Pokemon who cares about everyone and anyone,  and my Leafeon (Ability: Chlorophyll - Moves: Magical Leaf, Grass Whistle, Synthesis, Leaf Blade), who tends to be quiet and hides behind my leg sometimes. She's real nice though, I assure you!

Aw yiss. More pokemon roleplays with people I actually know(ish).

What is your name?: That'd be Comet.

 

How old are you?: While it is rude to ask a lady her age, I shall graciously inform you that I'm 19.

 

What region/town are you from?: Castelia City in Unova.

 

What legendary Pokemon do you wish to follow?: Reshiram. It would be my favourite legendary pokemon from Unova, and I find truths to be the most important thing. For obvious reasons any sensible person should understand.

 

Which two Pokemon do you want to aid you on your quest?: ((Not sure if fully evolved pokemon are allowed. Shouldn't matter much though.))

 

Firstly, we have Serperior ((Downgrade to Snivy/Servine if you want.)), the regal pokemon. Snivy's the starter I picked, and she's the perfect partner for me, matching my personality to a T. Not only that, but her looks are simply splendid. Serperior currently knows Leaf Blade, Leaf Tornado, Synthesis, and Wrap. Her ability is Overgrow, like most Serperiors.

 

Secondly, we have the lovely Duosion ((Again, downgrade if necessary.)) who I caught fairly recently. She's very serious for some odd reason. I don't think she likes me very much. Duosion currently knows Psyshock, Light Screen, Reflect, and Shadow Ball. Her ability is Regenerator. Everyone says it's a super rare ability for a Duosion, but it's really not that useful.

 

I regret that I've been unable to come into contact with any fire or dragon types. These two will simply have to do. Though I will make it my mission to catch pokemon just like Reshiram if I can.

 

As for looks, I have a picture. Just remove the face markings.

Well everyone will start out fairly weak. As we get closer to achieving our respective god's goals we'll get more "favor" and thus get stronger. I'll explain it a bit more in the actual RP though. Also some people. such as followers of Reshiram and Mewtwo, will be able to see through your disguises anyway. But I guess some sort of tell would make sense as most of the other followers can't detect it. Oh and we can just say you can't take over other follower's bodies because that really would be OP.

Speaking as the submitted Eon Duo pair... 

I'm not entirely sure how you plan on working this, unless you're looking at making a second character, or getting someone else to sign up to be the other half of your pair. I know I submitted two, a pair of twins to be precise, to follow Latios and Latias. I'd suggest you follow someone like Rayquaza, Victini, Celebi or Ho-Oh if you want to try and embody harmony like the Eons do.

 

Speaking of which, N, I'm surprised Xerneas isn't on here, and that Yveltal is.

Also, on a similar note, I'd love to see someone take no allegiance, just to see how that plays out. ^.^

What do you look like?: I'm really short, scrawny, and I guess generally youthful looking, because nobody ever seems to believe I'm actually 22. I have short black hair and I usually wear really plain clothes. I have a black jacket that I wear everywhere, but otherwise clothes don't really matter to me.

 

What region/town are you from?: Pacifidlog town in Hoenn

 

What legendary Pokemon do you wish to follow?: Ho-oh. My brother died in an accident when he was only 17, so I know how tragic it can be for life to end too soon.

 

Which two Pokemon do you want to aid you on your quest?: Charmeleon (ability: blaze, moves: fire fang, smokescreen, dragon rage, scratch) and Relicanth (ability: rock head, moves: head smash, water gun, rock tomb, yawn)

 

(I picked Relicanth because it was the only pokemon I could think of that seemed like it had a connection to the whole idea of preserving the cycle of life, what with it having been virtually unchanged for 100 million years, and it having been thought to be extinct.)

That, and any other fossil pokemon would work beautifully too. Just putting in my two bits. Maybe consider a Talonflame or something from that evolutionary line, since they're based on Phoenices, which themselves, according to legend, are reborn from the ashes, equating fire to life.

If we're looking at allowing two trainers each, , can my Eon Duo each have two pokemon? I'm afraid of sounding like a broken record, but if that's gonna be a thing...

I didn't make the picture I just found it on Reddit and said "Hey that would make a fun RP." Really Xerneas should be on there instead of Ho-oh. I'll try to make any legendaries that aren't an option appear at some point in the RP. For example Dialga might help followers of Celebi or Cresselia could help followers of the Eon Duo fight against Darkrai.
