music So I'm a musician!

FYI: I UPDATE THIS THREAD WITH NEW SUBMISSIONS SO BE SURE TO CHECK OUT MY NEWEST POSTS!

For those who don't already know, I write and record my own music! I usually play all of the instruments in my recordings and I mostly record at home!

I used to play in a number of bands in the past, but due to complications with band members and creative differences, I decided to go about a different career path and just write my own music on my own time.

So! Seeing as I joined here not too long ago, I wanted to post up some of the songs I've recorded! Some are mixed differently from others, but that's because, for the most part, they are still W.I.P (Which means Work In Progress for all of you young fillies!)

Anyway, ENOUGH CHIT CHAT! Here's some of my tunes!

Here's something very pop rockish that I recorded! I wish I could get some vocals on it!

Here's a song I recorded for a metal/hardcore band I had started. It unfortunately fell apart though. :(

And for anyone who remembers Spiderman Cartoon maker, SPIDER MAN METAL!!

Thanks! As for recording your own music, well that really depends! What kind of music were you thinking of recording from home? Do you plan on recording guitars and possibly tracking drums?

If that is the case, then you're going to need a Digital Audio Interface! They come in all sorts of sizes and they can range anywhere from about $150 to the thousands! You can get a good one for about $200 though. I bought mine for $100 from a friend!

Then there's the software! You're going to need some studio software like CUBASE, Sonar, or Protools! There are many programs out there to use so do your research and find out which one you think will suit your needs!

Then you're going to need to find yourself some VST plugin programs! These programs can do anything from dynamics to really cool sound filters or effects! You can also track drums using VST plugins! There are many programs out there like EZ Drummer or Superior Drummer that helps home musicians track drums on their computer without needing to record a full drum kit!

If you ever want advice on this kind of stuff feel free to talk to me sometime! I've worked in professional studios and have recorded/tracked many bands and artists so I can definitely teach you a think or two!

Take care!

I apologize for the double post, but I figured instead of making a whole new thread for this that I'd just submit it here and make this my permanent music thread. Hope none of you mind! ;)

This is a new track I recently got done recording and structuring. Of course I'd like to improve a whole bunch of things in it such as adding more effects and getting all the instruments recorded with higher quality amp simulators. A new audio interface is also in order, but for what I have at my home studio right now, the results I'm getting will just have to do!

Have a listen and let me know what you all think! Any thoughts of improvements or any constructive criticism is always welcome!

I really like your trance piece, out of all your stuff I think the more experimental stuff is the best and most interesting. Love to hear more like it. Dropped you a comment on sound cloud, am a musician too :)

Thank you! That trance track is so old! I'm thinking of getting into electronic music production again, but we'll see! Thanks for the comment!
