How would you feel about a Pinkie and Fluttershy episode?

I have an idea for an episode involving these two (god, was it hard to come up with), but unlike the others suggestions I made this is a bit more complicated, possibly too complicated for the show. Anyway here it is:

Episode Title: 'Later, Pinkie Gator'

Synopsis: When Fluttershy is visiting the headquarters of Equestrian Society for the Preservation of Rare Creatures she finds that Pinkie's pet, Gummy, is part of an endangered species of toothless alligators. Fluttershy reluctantly decides she should convince Pinkie to take Gummy to see if he would rather be with his own kind.

Important points for the plot to work correctly:

-Fluttershy must not come off as preachy, but rather concerned for Gummy.

-Fluttershy has to show an understanding of how much Pinkie cares about Gummy.

-Pinkie needs to be understandably reluctant at first, but maturely decide that it might be for the best.

-No insults or false accusations should be stated between the two, but a disagreement is necessary.

-Gummy must go with his kind, but in a strange act of sentience return to Pinkie (proves their bond).

What do you all think? Do you have any ideas how get these two to both shine in the spotlight? Do you think this is a bit too complex for the show? Feel free to discuss it or leave your own ideas below!

"Oh look, there's our friend Rarity GOING DOWN IN FLAMES!!! ISN"T FRIENDSHIP MAGIC!!!?" -Tabitha St. Germain as Rarity

"No matter how many times others tell you you're great, all the praise in the world means nothing if you don't feel it inside.......Sometimes to feel good about yourself, you gotta let go of the past. That way, when the time comes to let your greatness fly, you'll be able to light up the whole sky." -Cathy Weseluck as Spike

This does not sound bad. It could be a thing the two could like talk about sometime after Fluttershy finished caring for Discord (Since it was the same episode as Three's a Crowd). Maybe when Pinkie finally decides to let him go, it should show a flashback of some sort to show how they met? The only thing that bother's me is where would the friendship lesson fit in? More of what would it be?

Well I would say that Andrea Libman's voice will get tired after doing that.

No more than Ashleigh Ball's in 'Fall Weather Friends', I'd think.

I'd love it because frankly I haven't recalled the spotlight of their interactions in an episode before cept a bit in 'Griffon the Brush off' i believe.

Yea, that's why I thought of it.

It wouldn't really be a friendship lesson for Pinkie's prideful side (think of her and Twi's interactions in 'Baby Cakes').

The lesson: "Sometimes a friend's help isn't exactly what you want to hear, but you shouldn't dismiss it without at least giving it a chance."

Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy have not had a great deal of focused interaction throughout the series, so I would welcome an episode touched upon their friendship. They're two undeniably cute characters but they're very different in more ways than not . On paper it sounds as though it'd be a tall task for Andrea Libman to carry an entire episode by herself, but that's no hill for a stepper like her. ;)

As for your idea, I happen to like it quite a bit but I'm not sure what lessons the two ponies could learn, especially Pinkie.

I answered this in my second post, sorry for not making it clear.

which pinkie?

the one from phillie vanillia?

no.

I'm not sure what the right pinkie pie with fluters that would work.

I didn't mention 'Filli Vanilli' at all in my post. I DID however mention it would be teaching her a lesson that harkens back to 'Baby Cakes'.

This another one of those rare friend pairings that would be really great to see

Yea definitely, but I now see why the writers don't pair them up often. They often don't mesh and work well off each other, because they're both emotionally fragile with no contrasting elements to one another. That's why I linked them via Gummy, it's common ground, with a chance for them to work naturally off one another without making one into an antagonist.
