What is the Anime, Assassin Classroom like? Is it any good?

 

I haven't seen the anime for Assassination Classroom but I've been reading the manga for a long time .

So from an animation/soundtrack that sort of side i can't say anything but from storyline- Y E S!!! I love the characters and I got attached to the relationships, its like a family and its really cute. It's also really funny, if you get up to current spots in manga.. the final arc of the series, it gets really sad too. The story is really well thought out, no weird arcs or anything (unless they added some in the anime). The art is great and aaaah I love it so much I recommend the manga so much!!!!!

Things to avoid while working on a character? Huh, that's pretty broad. As someone who is into character reviews and critiques, I consider myself at least mildly educated on the subject. I'd advise you steer clear of:

 

a] Adding a weapon, item, physical feature, or power just because you think it's "cool" or "badass". If it serves the plot in any way, it's fine, but otherwise it's just filler and contributes to your character's (for lack of a better term) "Sue-ness".

 

b] Using character templates. Those things you see on websites and forums that have everything you need to enter a character? They're bad influence. Write what you can write, then ask someone else if it's enough information. If not, keep writing, it helps flesh out your character.

 

c] Making a one-dimensional character. Make your character's personality interesting. Give him one or two positive traits, then ask yourself "How could a villain manipulate these traits into being negative?" and that will serve as a primary weakness. Your guy doesn't have to have a million weaknesses to be good, but nobody's perfect.

 

d] Canon character relationships. And I don't mean just romance, but also things like ancestry, friendships, etc. I don't know if your character is an original character or a fan character, but if he's the latter, you're gonna need to make sure to keep the canon/OC in check. There are ways to write things like this well, but it's really, really hard.

 

...Yeah, those are my four basic tips. Sorry I dragged on for so long. I tend to do that sometimes.
