Proud or not?

Recommended Posts

Ok, a simple question. Are you a Proud Brony or not?

I would say that I am a bit in between, I watch the show and I love ever second of it, but I can't say that I am proud of it. I Won't tell friends and family that I like ponies, at least not yet.

Don't take this in the wrong way, I AM proud to be a brony but I am just not a 'Proud Brony', does that makes any sense?

Yes I am, at the beginning, I was too shy, but after my big brother find out, I didn't make it an secret anymore. Well, now, everyone, who knows me, knows, that I like the show and I'm not sad about that, even when someone makes some jokes, sometimes, I'm outside with an open jacket an my MLP-T-Shirt^^

I'm proud, yeah! :yay:

I like the show and stuff but I don't really care to have pride in watching it.  I'm proud of certain things like being a Slytherin. :P  But I mean...idk.  Guess it's hard to explain.  I enjoy watching the show, being in the fandom and creating art and stuff but I'm not like "BRONY PRIDE WOOT"

I guess you could say I'm a proud brony, if only because I've never seen anything wrong with liking MLP. I don't buy into gender roles, and I believe that men and women can enjoy whatever they want, whether it goes against social norms or not. So when I became a part of this fandom, I never tried to hide it from anyone, and I've even convinced a few of my friends to give the show a try for themselves.

I've got an idea! No..... No, wait; it's just a concussion....

I have been an MLP fan since i was 6 years old in 89'.

This fandom has been reborn, given new life, and a fresh breath with MLP:FIM. As a 30 year old male, I am beyond proud of the cartoons that have touched my life. MLP has been with me for a very long, long, LONG time, I am eternally proud!

Not every pony can recreate "Glory" (she is beyond sick for fanfiction writters to use!)...I still have my original figure ^.^, alongside "Wavedancer" and "Zigzag" the OG Zecora!! (for real, G1 was siiiiiick!). But the modern age of Ponies is beyond words. My love for Lady Rarity has become such a wonderful note in my head-fantasy (all adults daydream, deal with it!), that the 3 Rarity Tattoos I have gotten sit well alongside the assorted Gargoyles Demona, Chrono Trigger Ayla, and Sailor moon Setunsa/Pluto Tats, perfectly.

Show your pride, share your love, and fear not the haters, for they can be turned! Instead, fear the "Bronys" who are turning on the fandom. Those that have claimed to belove FIM only to grow stagnent and "upset" with its development. (in short, stay away from youtube "reviewers".

<--- There be Brony!

***Fear the Hater, for they are out to taint your Perfection. Buck the Troll, for he would seek to stop the Fabulous flavor. For you are Brony, coated in Pearl, maned in fine Mulberry, eyes of the sky, and flanks of Diamonds. Your life is for the Lady, all hail the Queen, for Rarity, your life, for her.*** -Applejock

Well, I wouldn't say proud per say, but I'm not really "proud" to watch any show that I watch, I mean, I'm not going to hide it, but I'm not going to go get a fluttershy costume and parade around town in it.

I might not be as eager to get a shirt or something to do with MLP as Doctor Who, but if someone asks me, I won't deny that I'm a brony.

I don't think anyone has to be proud of liking something or not. I don't think they have to be ashamed either.

That's in theory. But I rarely say I like MLP

I am not sure what word I would use but I am not sure if proud would be the right one, closet sure isn't I know that much though. I for the most part don't go out of my way to tell anyone but I don't hide it either, I have an Applejack, a Twilight Sparkle and a Discord which I occasionally wear and people can think whatever they will about it.

I'm proud of being a brony, even though I don't make a big deal about it. I'm proud of it.

Exactly what he said......for i feel the same way.

Proud isn't the right word, but I'm definitely not ashamed if that's what you meant.

I mean, I don't watch it because I think it makes me better and more open-minded than other people, my sole motivation for watching the show is because I enjoy it. So there's nothing really to be proud or ashamed of.

I used to be ashamed of being a brony until I was found out by my parents like last year. I mean sure, sometimes I wear my MLP shirt and beanie for people to recognize me as one, but proud isn't really something to put there.

I don't know if "proud" is quite the right word, but I'm certainly unashamed about it. I mean, I don't go around rubbing it in people's faces (although I do carry my Pinkie Pie hug-me backpack around campus) because that would just annoy people. But if people ask if I'm a brony, I ain't exactly shy about it. :D

I am not really proud, but I do love the show, and I am extremely happy that I discovered this awesome fandom, and I am almost prouder of being a part of the fandom then liking the actual show!
