Will Celestia get married?

Don't you mean in the Hooves of Luna?

Back on topic, maybe she was married, possibly several times over, possibly to several suitors at once. She may have had many a spouse over her 1000+ year existence. Perhaps she is currently married, but her husband(s)/wive(s) are only civilians and have no real power still. We don't really see much of the princess, and all that we have seen of her was during her work. Most people aren't with their spouses while on the job, why should the princess be any different?

wasn't Celestia married isn't Prince Blueblood her nephew of some shit like that rarity says this is the best night ever

It's said that he is her nephew, but not that she was married.

For dumb, self-important fics about mythology, ponies and fascist griffons that can't figure friendship out.

And I'm just getting started.

I'm trying to make the connection between getting married and leaving the throne. Help?

Well, I don't believe that Celestia would want to be on the throne forever if you believe that she doesn't age.

Since she remained single for centuries and can easily get some stallion without trying, I say probably not.

Ah, but she already has a love!

Ah. I see. Like retiring. I think it could be spun in a way that would kind of be irresponsible of her to do that. But I don't think that, even if she isn't immortal, anypony would have the right to demand that she spend her whole life in ruling the country. She has the right to love and take some of her life to do stuff for her.

Him being her nephew doesn't indicate she's married.

It fact it points more to LUNA being married. But I think the actual case is that Prince Blueblood is a distant relative. But it's just easier to say "nephew" rather than "great-great-great-great-great-great-great nephew, ten times removed, on my mother's side" or something like that.

Well the Princesses are immortal.

So it's not like either need heirs.

It's a bit more like since Celestia was constantly busy for those 1000 years and could only spare only so much time for herself, she wouldn't have the time to get pregnant or tend to the children. Being pregnant would hinder her capabilities in some areas like challenging evil face on.

Celestia doesn't really need to have children if she sees her subjects as her children. Then she can go in and pick out the special ones to adopt into her fold.

Hold on to your hats it's... Sombra!

I haven't read the comic yet, but I've heard you talking about it.

1) According to you, it was an alternate reality Sombra. So it's NOT the Sombra we know.

2) The comics are not universally considered canon.

1) Sombra is still Sombra, no matter what universe he's from

2) They are canon. Katy Cook, the writer has confirmed it.

That's like saying that the Justice League Superman is the same as the Justice Lords Superman. The first one is a hero, who always does the right thing, and doesn't compromise his morals, and believes in freedom and choice and the good in others. The other went crazy, controls the world "for the greater good", keeps Lois under constant house arrest to "keep her safe", and has lobotomized all trouble makers with his heat vision to keep them alive, but placid and possessing no individuality or free will..

Your experiences and decisions shape who you are. Good Sombra and Bad Sombra are NOT that same person, just like Good Superman and Bad Superman are not the same Superman. Celestia could have loved the Good Sombra, but that does not mean she loves the Bad Sombra.

And I'll have to look into that other fact. I don't have enough information.

What if she and luna retire leaving it in twilights hooves

The Royal Guard has many and varied duties, after all!

On a more serious note:

By the end of Robert Heinlein's wonderful book "The Number of the Beast" the characters, including my favorite, Lazarus Long, have traveled the multiverse to many places. They even found the real true Land of Oz, and met the Scarecrow and the Tinman.

Lazarus Long is a Howard family member, and the oldest known human in existence at well over TWO THOUSAND years old. He, as Celestia undoubtedly does, knows first hand how heartbreaking it is to fall in love with an ephemeral. I'm not saying it in a weird or nasty sense, but perhaps if they met, they could at least become friends. They both know the loneliness immortality brings.

In the book "Time Enough for Love" the section "The Tale of the Adopted Daughter" always brings me to tears. Imagine finding your soul-mate, knowing full that you both run on a totally different scale of time, and they will be dust in practically the wink of an eye.

I doubt it, the ponies view her as practically a god so most of them would be too intimidated to make a move on her and it may be a tad too painful for her to pursue a long term relationship with her being as long lived as she is.

I highly doubt it. Celestia doesn't look like the mare who would want to settle down and marry a stallion. I don't think it's her style because, she has royal duties to tend to and forming a relationship with someone would have to be put on hold.
