Alicorns vs US military?

Or just the fact that the ponies are very dangerous and should be taken seriously. They won't win but they'll be dangerous

 

 

Of course they would be dangerous lol, but in the end I am sure the military would just use science to understand the magic and beat them after some casualties of course. Or just detonate a bunch a nuclear and biological weapons and sterilize the planet.

I would say alicorns, since I think that if they get hurted then can cure themselves with magic plus alicorns are inmortal. And with just casting a simple spell they can do whatever they want to the US military. So Alicorns

There have been no healing spells shown in the show, not battle effective ones anyway.

 

And where was it said that alicorns are immortal? Even if they were, immortality doesn't mean you are invincible.

 

And no, when their offensive spells are painfully limited, they can't just do whatever they want

2. Again, proof they're immortal and not just long-lived?

In the season 4 finale of MLP will give us a good look into what other major powers the ponies have, apparently this will be a big episode in showcasing their power. Once we see what else the ponies are capable of, it might influence the decision, although most likely I feel it still wont be enough or even close to the power of a nuclear bomb type event, or even a ton of large j dam bombs and other types of weapons the US military has.

 

May 10th is when we shall see some more pony power.

Yeah super Twilight could probs solo the US military. I wonder what would happen if she had Rainbow Power active at the same time...

Also, as Celestia pointed out, she is the Princess of Friendship and thus would get all of her friends to help her out. Add in a sprinkle of Celestia, Luna and Cadence...yup, ponies win.

Due to new feats shown by teh ponies, it's safe to say the military would be screwed. You've got nukes? We've got magic spammable nukes. You've got a sniper? We've got shields that can block said nukes. Wanna swarm us? Magic Nuke time

WE put about 85% of our budget into Military related things. Equestria puts 0%. Also, they might have magic, but I really have never seen a pony get killed by any magic. Of course they might have the capacity to, but we have about a million different ways to kill stuff. We are also a much more violent species than they are, but the one thing that counters this is we've never seen how their magic stacks up to our technology, or if our technology would even work in that world. So alot of stuff to consider. Of course I don't know for sure but until someone makes a fanvid of how the end result may be, Science Vs. Magic is at a stalemate IMO.

Well I did not say the ponies would win lol. But you all have a right to state your opinions. I just thought since the ponies have shown off new powers it makes the match up more difficult. Either way even watching the whole episode and reading others responses on both ends and by my own observations they still have not changed my mind about the outcome being the ponies still won't be victorious. But to each their own. Either way I love reading these type of threads.

Based on how big tirak grew with the alicorn magic compared to basically all of equestria's magic, The alicorns are pretty powerful. I'm not really sure... It all depends on who gets the first strike. All four alicorns together could wipe out an entire field with their combined power.

As I say on all similar threads, nothing in the world of Equestria would be prepared for the weapons of humanity, even if the ponies have had to deal with potential military threats like Tirek (I believe that is how the name is spelled) and Discord in the past. Now, when you reduce it to just Alicorns against the US military, it doesn't seem fair for the Alicorns at all.

When the Mane 6 got their Rainbow Powers they seemed to have some sort of shield around them - I wonder how strong it is? It could possibly be a great asset against the military.

I guess if the military uses science and technology to hijack the rainbow powered box and use the shield for its advantages it could be possible. But it could only work against evil, or magic and not broad spectrum to other threats such as ballistics. But really it's all speculation.

I would have to say alicorn. Although they don't have nukes, they can act like dragon ball z (season 4 finally) and  can just make a shield for the explosion and a germ shield for the radiation. plus with military brony's sometimes being generals and other positions of the like, the military would be doomed.

Magic would not work on our world, it is nonexistent. If they were to come, they will pretty much be a sitting target and with little chance of survival (as proven by the equestria girls movie).

 

Continuing on, why in a Alicorns own mind would they even want to come to our world? If I was an alicorn, I'd probably just stay in equestria.

Based on the show so far, both Unicorn or Alicorn magic has not been shown to kill people, only to somewhat disarm.

 

Human weapon, technology and machinery is an entirely different concept.

True but also being the nature of the show and being on HUB death wont happen.

 

But by going on that reasoning I agree the ponies have a disadvantage and would be defeated. But thats just my opinion.

If you can move the moon, the sun, shift gravity, etc. with Alicorn magic, I see no reason why Alicorns couldn't easily defeat not only the American military, but the entire human population of Earth. If every single weapon on Earth were to be shot the Alicorns, they could simply stop all of them with magic and send them back down to Earth. So if Alicorns ever invaded Earth, we would be doomed... or saved.
