Rarity Paige Belle 1,854 March 26, 2014 Share March 26, 2014 With place names like Baltimare and Manehattan, it certainly looks like it is. And does it mean Equestrians are hated everywhere else in their world? Beautiful, Stylish, Fabulous AND evil! What more could you want? (Thanks Kyoshi for letting everyone use your sigs!) Khaoios 1,970 March 26, 2014 Share March 26, 2014 (edited) Yes it is.....funny I was just talking to someone regarding that. Equestria is basically the America's (excluding Saddle Arabia), Also the cities: Las Pegasus - Los Angeles Vanhoover - Vancouver Manehattan - Manhattan Fillydelphia - Philadelphia Seaddle - Seattle Baltimare - Baltimore ....and there a few others. SomeReallyRandomGuy 137 March 26, 2014 Share March 26, 2014 It does seem to be that way. Not sure if they would be hated in other places though. There's not really any evidence to back that one.
Scootalove 10,689 March 26, 2014 Share March 26, 2014 I think it's only the state names that reference to the states that we have here, excluding any European countries and Saudi Arabia. Other than that, probably. Equestrians aren't hated everywhere else in the world, no evidence of that. GrimCW 658 March 26, 2014 Share March 26, 2014 Theres a map of equestria out there that pretty much paints that very picture. Its not exact, but the placement of the cities, including Vanhoover and the like points to it.
StarSwirlTheBearded 356 March 26, 2014 Share March 26, 2014 (edited) Equestria is undeniably based off of North America, specifically the United States. End of story. Nameless Knight 1,001 March 26, 2014 Share March 26, 2014 I have seen some non-USA cities... I think, Trottingham? "I had a name... forgot it many, centuries ago. Khaoios 1,970 March 26, 2014 Share March 26, 2014 It definitely resembles the US except Equestria is better Yes........much more peaceful and everyone learns how to co-exist and get along with one another. Shame, when I compare the setting there to reality, its embarrassing. So much hatred in reality, that i wonder why can't we be like Equestria. 2 XBL: Riot Rojas 3DS Friend Code: 5300 - 9568 - 7902 WEB/CHANNEL: THREADS: Youtube - ThunderColt Studios MLP:FIM - Wrath of the Ancients Fan Fictions Weebly - ThunderColt Studios MLP:FIM: The Day Equestria Stood Still - Volunteers Wanted

There is no direct proof to any of our religions; only faith. So people try and fight over who is right... Racism is one also Sexism Greed is another cause... Rarity Paige Belle 1,854 March 26, 2014 Author Share March 26, 2014 Does that mean that there's a pony version of the UK etc? Ribbonfree 2,383 March 26, 2014 Share March 26, 2014 There's not enough incompetent and bloated government for it to be the USA. Unless you're into that fanon. But seriously, Equestria is just a conglomerate of a ton of real world references. Whatever joke they can shoehorn into a pony reference will get added.

M'aiq the Liar 5,804 March 26, 2014 Share March 26, 2014 The land Equestria is in is most deffentatly based off of North America. Frozen tundra to the north, deserts to the south west, plains in the middle. And then you have the fact that most of their cities are just horse puns on North American cities. http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/vera-yeoman-r5921Muh pleb tier OC .http://mlpforums.com/blog/1663/entry-12477-pony-waifu-wedding-13-maiq-x-fleetfoot/ MLP forum's #1 Fleetfoot fan also married to fleetfoot <

ShadowPhoenix 153 October 1, 2017 Share October 1, 2017 Not just the US, but the entire world can easily be written, adapted and superimposed into the nigh-utopia of Equestria. The varied delegates who showed up for the Equestria Games, the village of Somnambula, the Daring Do Adventures, the Legends of Magic, the Yaks, and Coriander Cumin and Saffron Masala prove that somehow, the show has managed to incorporate the best of Planet Earth into a continent. I have to smile a bit at seeing this RPB. Ok now that that is over. Yes many of it's towns are modeled after US and Canadian cities via horse puns. I'm apt to say it is supposed to invoke North American sensibilities.
