Can People Really Not Like MLP?

I convinced a couple of friends to check it out, they didn't seem at all interested after a few episodes. Heck, even my wife wasn't really into it, and she grew up with G2 & G3. People just have different tastes, that's all.

It is possible . I have been on forums where a lot of people have watched the show and rag on the Bronies. People have opinions, and not everyone is gonna like the same thing everybody else likes. With everyone there's bound to be one thing that someone likes that you don't like. The point is, watch what makes you happy. But, those non Bronies have no idea what they are missing.

I think people are perfectly capable of not "liking it". Like one internet critic I watched wasn't overly impressed with it, yet he still watched all the episodes and gave it a fair chance; he thought it was well-made, but personally only thought it was an okay show.

 

Now people who claim to HATE the show are clearly those who've never actually watched it. People can be apathetic about the phenomenon, but there really isn't anything to hate about the show unless you're someone who refuses to accept anything to come from the My Little Pony label could be good.

Well the show is trying to touch something inside people but not everyone has that so not everyone can enjoy it, it could be a moral a belief, many things...

And there is always the people that are too negative about such "kids shows" that will stay negative just to keep feeling they are correct and avoid being wrong

I know two other people who have watched, one is now a brony, one is still an adamant hater. Although he admits that his hatred may be due to the amount of pony spam on 4chan.

 

Nothing can please everyone. Some just can't bring themselves to look past its image and some just don't enjoy it.

I tried to get one of my friends to watch the show and told her it was a great show. She said she would but never told me when she did or whatever. She doesn't care to even try looking at it. guess it's the new boyfriend.

I actually do know someone that has sat down with me and watched 3 episodes. He just could not get into it, though he doesn't hate it. Good thing is at least he's an MLP supporter rather than a troll about it.

 

But sadly the people that have never watched an episode, never will, and call the cartoon stupid and all it's fans are sick or stupid outnumber the ones that will actually give it a try.

 

Makes the people that actually give it a try and end up disliking it seem not so bad. People are always entitled to their opinions...even if they're wrong. Because let's face it, MLP is awesome.

I didn't like it until around episode 8... Then I just started watching them because I didn't have anything better to do.

I still sort of watch them because I have nothing better to do, but I think MLP:FiM just makes me question EVERYTHING I used to think about cartoons. I stare with a blank face at the screen and ask "Why am I watching this?"... then I watch another episode. It's like brainwashing.

 

I like the animation, VAs, and characters... Other than that, the story is quite bland in my opinion. Maybe because it's trying to teach lessons to the younger crowd throughout the show, but you can almost always predict how each scenario will end. (The exception being Applejack's "I didn't learn anything!" ending. I liked that ending the most :3) The characters are each unique and I adore the show's response to fans.

 

I'm manely (HURHUR) here for the awesome community this show has created. I enjoy watching user-generated content more than the show in some cases. I still buy pony swag though... What's up with my methods?

It's there choice to like it or not. Same with people who want to be religious... An example would be someone forcing religion upon you...it's pretty much the same thing making someone into a brony
