gaming Flappy Bird is SO Overrated

I know I'm supposed to be on my "vacation" from these forums, but I need to just get this off my chest.

I was looking at some of the the top apps and some of the ones that made it on the chart were knock-offs of the game "Flappy Bird".

I ingnored it at first, but more big name app companies kept on making on making more Flappy Bird knock-offs.

I just lost it when the creators of "Doodle Jump" made a knock-off of Flappy Bird.

Ugh!

I mean seriously people!

Most of the time it's just the same thing with a bit of tweaks and looks different.

I used to think "Candy Crush Saga" was the most overrated game in the world, but THIS!

I played it once and there's really no creativity behind it.

You're just dodging walls.

My high score was like 18.

My little brother was all like "but don't you want to reach 20?".

Then I was like:

 

Now if you'll excuse me I have to go play I real man's game.

i'm sure 99% of people on this forum knows flappy bird is overated so yea the copies are really annoying but some of them are just plain funny.

If people want to play a game where they're just dodging pipes to achieve a high score then by all means they have every right to do so if they wish.

Keep in mind guys I come from a different side of the media.

I see people talking allot about Pokémon, g-mod, and Steam related games.

I grew up with the game "Super Mario World" on my Gameboy Advanced SP.

After that was Minecraft.

I ignored the Pokémon franchise cause I honestly wasn't in to that sort of stuff.

Also I wasn't really a fan of CoD.

I'm not one to have an appeal to first person shooter games.

Flappy Bird was never "fun" or "addicting" in the first place. People are just dumb enough to fall into it's curse. Besides, it rips off Super Mario sprites (the fish and pipes).

 

Seriously, what is a stupid high score on this...game gonna earn you in life? To put it simply: FLAPPY BIRD IS OVERRATED GARBAGE

You are kidding... Any Metal gear game from the last 5 years is terrible and should never be played.

Minecraft is no better.

 

A real man would enjoy a plot that hadn't been done before or in a creative style

What's weird about Flappy Bird is that it's a difficult game but it's also really boring.  Usually hard games are never boring, so that's just pure fail. I really don't care if my bird makes it through the pipes. Yeah, it's totally overrated. I tried it out of curiosity but I'm done with it.

 

BTW my record is only 7, and that was after quite a few tries. I'm incompetent.

Of course it is, it's a cellphone game! I don't mean to generalize, but the most popular cellphone games are usually incredibly uninspired, a rip off and/or designed to siphon your life savings via microtransactions. In fact, I remember playing "Flappy Bird" back in grade 7 or 8 on some flash game website. I played it probably around 2 minutes before I got bored and went to play stinkoman instead.

 

I'm still waiting on level 10, Brothers Chaps...

I could probably name off about five used-to-be or currently overrated smartphone games. Flappy Bird is going to be like Angry Birds; people will play it now, but eventually, it'll be forgotten.
