When I refer to Saint Michael, I'm not referring to the Christian version (at least not solely). He's popular in Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Paganism, and other religions. He is a globally recognized and respected archangel. The version of Saint Michael I'm talking about is the version who only wants everyone to fill the world with love and harmony so we can all return to the one. Whether that be God, Jehovah, Yahweh, Allah, the Goddess, etc. Also, when talking about Celestia, I mean Celestia and Luna. And if we get ruled by the alicorn sisters, they would bring their ponies.

I would have to go with Saint Michael. He's just as easygoing as Celestia (at least judging by a conversation someone had with him), he is far more competent, and he can destroy legions of enemies with his sword, but also use his sword to heal others. And even then, he prefers to solve problems with peace. He has already turned many of our enemies to the side of peace, by giving them a wave of love, compassion, peace, etc that made them go from thinking that war is the only way, to believing in peace. He's pretty much the male version of Eternal Sailor Moon, except he rarely, if ever cries, and he's more powerful.

As much as I love ponies, I have way too much respect and admiration for Saint Michael to not want to be ruled by him.

Edit: Oh who am I kidding? >.< Ponies ftw!

Celestia & Luna, because they aren't concerned with bringing us closer to god, if god even exists and if it does exist, matches up with humankind's idealized version of it. The sisters just want peace and happiness for the here and now. And it seems that the sisters have come much closer to creating Utopian paradise than St.Micheal appears to have. His world is based on our world. His present was our past, and judging by alll the problems he faced then, and the problems we face now, it seems his struggle is far from over. Last time I checked, St.Micheal's story doesn't have a peaceful kingdom or happy subjects. Celestia & Luna appear to near overcoming the throes of their world.

Celestia.

She wouldn't have religion as an ulterior motiver, she just wants to protect her subjects through benevolence and gentle guiding. She's caring and compassionate, but stern yet caring when she has to be.

Neither. I prefer a world of free will, as flawed as it is. Peace would only last for a few years, unless we lost the ability to fight, in which case we would be massacred by the indigenous life of this planet. War isn't some petty sport that we take part in because it's fun, it's a survival mechanism. It's been proven time and time again. UTOPIAS. DON'T. WORK.

That's not how "would you rather" works, friend.

If she is Celestia from The Conversion Bureau. I will not allow some false abomination of true Celestia to tell me what to do and force me to be a Pony.

If canon Celestia, as long as she treats Humans with dignity and respect. Even Humans that don't see her as their God or leader. I guess I will allow her to my leader.

You're on an MLP forum. Who do you think is going to be voted for the most? >_>

For reasons already explained from responses above, my vote's on the alicorn sisters.

Not everypony would go for Celestia, tbh.

OP: I, for one, would rather be ruled by God, the Father Almighty.

May I ask why? We've seen what Theocracies are like, and the two greatest threats to world peace are Israel and Pakistan. Rule by a divine being would be the same as rule by humans, so I'd rather keep the one we have a chance of changing.

Saint Michael has nothing to do with the corrupt kingdoms ruled by man. I can assure that. Klavier Gavin and Kristoph Gavin are brothers, and yet, Klavier had the integrity to turn on his brother when he saw how wrong his brother was (even if it did take him a while)

Now that I think about it, the Alicorn sisters are exceedingly cute. And I would love a world full of ponies. I change my mind :D

Feel free to add me on steam if you want to play something. Also don't be afraid to message and talk to me. I've had bad luck when I start a conversation, so I more then likely won't start one.

Who/What is saint Michael then? And what is this 'conversation' you speak of? And why are are you talking about Ace Attorney in a thread with hypothetical real life consequences?

Then again, if I HAD to choose I'd go with the Alicorn sisters... ESPECIALLY if I could hug them.

I brought it up because you assumed that just because Saint Michael also served a greater power, he would be subject to similar fallacies of a theocracy. He would undoubtedly champion peace and harmony over any dogma, dogma was invented by man who invented religion. To me, my religion is love of the divine and love for others. And I'm sure that whoever our creator is feels the same way, he/she wants us all to love each other over loving a religion, and is above petty lip service.

Also, Saint Michael is an archangel who played a prominent role in many religions. Many have claimed to have seen him as well, especially at war time. I think he's a huge thing in Catholicism as well (although I'm not Catholic so not sure)

I rule over my own kingdom. They do not call me Emperor Ramsey the mountain Tyrant for nothing.

I chose discord though. Angels and goody goodies are no match for my life style.

No I suggested that humanity is incapable of being forever at peace, whether forced or otherwise, because war is a survival mechanism. I do have to say though, what kind of deity, or divine creature of any kind but a malevolent one, would allow people who take his name in vain to have a biosphere-wrecking weapon that can be used at the push of a button?

The only thing I can think of is that God gave man free will, and he doesn't want to interfere with that free will. But I believe that he has everything under control. He will never allow anyone to destroy the earth unless it's time. No country will use a nuclear weapon on another country anyways, because that would lead to global nuclear annihilation. They just flex their "big boy weapons" to look intimidating, and no country is willing to trust another country to get rid of their nuclear weapons when they get rid of theirs.
