Imo the PS1 had the most solid lineup overall. Though SNES, PS2, N64 and GC are fairly close. I consider mid 90's to mid 00's to be the golden age of gaming.

The Nintendo 64 and GCN are my favorite consoles.

 

Although, if the GCN is what we consider 'old', that must be I'm old too. =( The GCN was still the current Nintendo console until my senior year of high school. lol

The PS1 is my favourite old gaming console. A fair amount of my favourite games are on the PS1 after playing them so much in my childhood. The PS1 also started my love for video games in general. I still love to play PS1 games to this day. 

 

If theres anything you think I should add to the poll, do tell me and I'd be happy to oblige :)

when i wanted a ps1 my dad pulled a atari 2600 out of the closet and said "go play with this" i have almost never been able to find more fun games they were just so simple and easy to play

So many good choices on the poll, but I had to go for the GameCube.

 

Luigi's Mansion is one of my all time favourites, Rogue Leader was awesome, Super Mario Sunshine is so underrated, Melee was great, Donkey Konga was so much fun, I just love the GC controller...I could go on and on (and on).

I still cannot bring myself to think of the Game Cube as old. It was only 2 generations ago!

 

For me, it'd definitely be the SNES. That thing was absolutely formative for me. I still have a working console. I'm never giving it up.
