Holy attractive ._.

But he sings quite well. It's always fun to listen to works of music in different keys than they are in.

Minor keys generally sound amazing to me. So mysterious, so dramatic, so powerful. Though perhaps the thread's title should be changed to better describe the content? After all, this has little to do with Jesus Christ or bicycles.

I agree wholeheartedly. But I found the vid at like 2 am where I'm living so it freaked me out, I'm really jumpy and all when I'm up that late. And "Jesus Christ on a bicycle" is a phrase I tend to use when I'm feeling amazed, angered, annoyed or frightened by something. In this case it's amazed and frightened. The bit at "oh say does that Star-Spangled Banner yet wave" gets me every time. The scale dropping before Star-Spangled Banner gives me chills beyond description. Along with the bits with more than one voice singing it.

As a child, the anthem sounded creepy and depressing to me (I'm Canadian).

I'd love to hear him sing that Canadian anthem in Minor, even though the song never sounds that..cheery regardless.

"We stand on guard for thee,

God keep our land

Glorious and free.."

The pause inbetween "god keep our land" and "glorious and free" always seemed a bit..ominous to me. My mind always took the impression that it was just "God, keep our land", suggesting that we don't want God abandoning us. ("I have spoken to God, and he has abandoned us") (Atheist, but it's still a creepy thought).

Yeah. But do you know that there are actually three types of them? There's the natural minor scale (also called Aeolian), and there's also melodic minor, and harmonic minor (which has this Egyptian-like snake charm sounding). Each of them sounds a bit differently and it has somewhat different mood.

BTW the guy who sings in the OP's video, actually uses some chords with seventh, which are crossing the border between major and minor chords, and are more "melancholic".

It sounds like something you'd here in a dystopian city movie.

Pretty much to-date then. Requiem for the Freedom Capitol of the World the U.S. once used to be, I'd say.

ROTFL YOU WON! :D
