Invite a Brony

Recently, when reading the thread about Dr.Wolf's YouTube account being blocked (and ultimately restored), I was wondering about one thing...

I know of several famous Bronies such as Dr.Wolf from their YouTube channels. I also know some from DeviantArt, or from video recordings from Brony conventions. Some Brony musicians. Famous bronies, who are recognizable in the Brony community for what they do.

But I see none of them here at these forums! NONE!
How is this even possible? Shouldn't they figure out long time ago that such a forum exists? I don't know of any other MLP-related forum as big as this one. So why aren't they here with us? Why wasn't Dr.Wolf here to tell us what's going on first-hoof? Why had we discuss his case "behind his backs", so to speak?

So I've got this idea:

What if every one of us who knows some famous Brony or Pegasister, just invite him/her here to this forum? Maybe they really don't know that such forum exists and it's enough to let them know? What do you think?

Once I tried to invite here a guy from DeviantArt who mapped the whole Ponyville, when I was trying to do the same with the Golden Oak Library. (Unfortunately, from some unknown reasons, I hadn't succeeded.) I would be glad to invite some YouTubers I know, if only Google didn't require me to sing in to their Google+ crap some time ago, after which I dropped my YouTube account altogether. But maybe you guys can invite some people you know? It would be fun if they could appear here and talk with us; people like BlackGryph0n, ACRaceBest, Ratchetness, SaberSpark, Dr.Wolff, Jan Animations, Zachary Rich (Double Rainboom's director), YapLap, Jessi "Nowacking" Nowack (fan voice of Vinyl Scratch), peeps from Equestria Reflections, or any other people you know from YouTube, DeviantArt or whatever. If I count correctly, it's been three years since the Brony fandom exists, and we still are not united enough? This is weird and needs fixin' :)

That's why I got this idea to invite those people here.
Bronies, unite! :)

I'm guessing because they mainly use videos to discuss the show so they might think using a forum is pointless. Also the fact that they use sites like deviant art or Tumblr to post their thoughts.

They probably don't have all the time in the world for these type of forums like some of us do.

I expect this to be the reason as well. When you are making videos, art, music and such to a quality level that we are used to from the more famous bronies i would imagine they don't have much time for anything else.

There's a mathematical "law" (supposedly scientifically verified) that you're separated from any person on this planet by no more than 6 handshakes. That is, you know someone who knows someone else, who in turn knows some other person... and finally the last one knows the person you're targeting.

Once I thought this is just some speculation. But that was because I haven't any experiences with it yet.

But when I tried to verify it, I found out that it is actually true, and it even not always require as much as 6 handshakes!

For example there was a Polish bloger who writes a blog about copyright law, and whom I admired much. I would never thought that I will ever meet hem in person. But it happened that I did, when I was working on some startup with my friends. We needed some copyright expert to look at our model from the copyright law standpoint. So we invited Vagla (the blogger I mentioned before) to take a look at it. A week later I was there, sitting just next to him in our secret HeadQuarters ;) talking with each other about copyright law and enjoying our coffee :)

Other day I was wondering how to contact with Dan Winter, a fringe scientist whose videos I've been watching on YouTube. I tried to contact him through official channels, but I got no answer. But then I found a guy who administrates a forum about Sacred Geometry and ancient knowledge. I talked with him a bit, when he noticed my scientific posts on his forum. And after a short chit-chat it turned out that he was also organizing Dan Winter's lectures in Poland last year. So I asked him if he could contact me with him someway. He replied that he knows a woman who is his personal secretary, and he adviced me to contact her. A couple of days later I was corresponding with Dan Winter through e-mails :)

Some other day I found a website of Natural Philosophy Alliance, which also has a database of dissident scientists from all over the world. I wanted to belong there, and participate in their lectures (as just a listener). But there was no way to just subscribe there. So I pinged some of my contacts and asked them how to get there. One of them was in their database, so he explained me the process and contacted me with a person who knows their chairman. A couple e-mails later I was corresponding with their chairman (very nice guy BTW). He added me to their database and gave access to their lectures, so I could listen to other scientists' talks every saturday afternoon. They very enjoyed my questions after the lectures (some of them told me that I'm very "to the point" and have some troubles with answering me ;)). So I decided to try out something more: I asked if I could give a talk myself, about number theory. Their chairman agreed and scheduled it for me. A month later I was having my first talk for the scientific community :) It didn't go well, because I wasn't prepared enough, but it opened me some further doors and I made some further friends & contacts. One of them was so impressed with my profile and what I do, than he decided to contact me and talk with me some more. And after a month of our exchange, he decided to help me in my work, by sending me his old laptop with all accessories, for free! :) (for me, this laptop wasn't so old, it was 50% cooler than my current machine at that time). We're corresponding to this day.

But if you want some example of this phenomenon more related to MLP, then here is one:

After writing my symbolism thread, I was constantly being doubted that these symbols are really there. People objected that I'm just seeing things which are not there, or bending the facts, because none of them has been certified by any of the creators of the show. So I started searching for any way to contact with any of the creators. I found contacts to many of them, including Lauren Faust's DeviantArt profile. So I tried to contact her first. But she has never replied. I tried to contact her on Twitter, too, but with the same result. But I tried harder, with other creators & writers. And finally I managed to contact Amy Keating Rogers, one of my favorite MLP writers :) She was very kind and she answered some of my questions about the symbolism stuff, mostly confirming my theories. But she couldn't say much about every symbol, since it wasn't she who worked on the episodes they appear in. She adviced me to contact Meghan McCarthy who's a head story editor now. I tried several times on her twitter account, but unfortunately she hadn't replied me as for today. But I will continue trying, because I know from my previous experiences that if one tries hard enough, and if one focuses on solutions instead of focusing on problems, one will ultimately succeed. There's always someone who knows her better than me and will be able to complete the pathway.

And that's my message for you on today. How are the odds that one unknown guy from a country in the middle of nowhere would be able to reach so many interesting people in his lifespan? But I succeeded, so it is possible for everyone who tries hard enough.

I cannot use my YouTube account for a while, but maybe I'll try to bump some Twitter accounts of these famous Bronys & Pegasisters sometime soon. I recommend you to do the same, maybe it will work :)
