No, but you would have to make them bigger to encompass that area. In dumbed down terms that I know, you need more energy for things to travel further, to move more material, or to move through obstacles. Since it can be assumed that energy would eventually translate to damage, you would waste more damage (energy) traveling your radius to two targets. That make sense?

If that was the case, why does it also hurt your teammate? Why waste energy on them? I still fail to see how an Earthquake, just a shockwave on the ground, is dispersed

Assuming that your Pokemon is the epicenter, it would make sense to have a more spread out battlefield. To hit all the targets, it has to travel further.

 

 

Or, you could just except it as game balancing.

I've been contemplating bringing in an Archeops character if possible, but A. it would be a bit much to juggle those characters from the get-go, and B. it might hit a bit close to home considering I'm quite a defeatist myself. At least that's what my parents tell me. I guess I basically am an Archeops, very good when I start out strong, but the moment I hit one or two setbacks, I immediately become shit.

Yeah. What really irritates me is that whenever I get Rotom-Fan on pokemon showdown random battles, he always comes with a fucking air balloon. That is the MOST redundant setup possible. And Rotom-Fan isn't even that good.

Also, I kind of don't even want to see HTTYD 2, just cause the trailer shows like half the movie. Like if they hadn't shown Hiccup's mom in the trailer, that would have been a crazy plot twist in the movie. Just seeing so much of the movie in the trailers has taken my will to go see it.
