Is it time for the Mane Six to venture out of Equestria?

As awesome as Equestria is, it seems to me at least we have seen pretty much all there is in Equestria. Sure they could expand upon some places, but after 4 seasons and lots of talk of "far away" lands I think it would be great to finally set hoof out of Equestria in see other lands far away.

 

Or, even better yet...what if the Mane Six were to somehow travel to outer space or a different planet? Pony's....in spaaaaaace!! lol

About, the outer space, that is not going to happen.

However, I don't know, Equestria is big and there are plenty of places which have not really been described in detail.

Equastia is probably quite a big place, full of cities and fun places to have adventures at, and since it's fictional and the writers can add new places in the show when is required, I don't think you can honestly say we have seen all there is to see in Equastia.

 

As for out of space, aside from Luna who lived in the Moon I don't think the mane 6 travelling to outerspace would be fitting somehow, but who knows?

Maybe they'll go to Maretonia? Since we saw the Duke and Duchess of this town in the season finale.

And travels mean new characters.

With so much teasing of foregin lands... yeah, I would love to finally see one! There are so many choices - the lands of Zebras, Griffons, Saddle Arabia, Maretonia, Mustangia...

And I really hope the VIP area from Equestria Games was a promise of seeing those places in the future.

We know that Tirek and Scorpan apparently came from "a far away land", so there's yet another place they could possibly travel to. Since Tirek was still alive, maybe Scorpan returned home and the Mane Six could travel to their former land and meet him?
 

Other than that, I really, really want to see the homeland of the Griffons. Ever since Gilda appeared, I've been itchin' to see where they come from... and that was the freaking fifth episode of the series, so it has been a long wait wanting to see the homeland of the Griffons.

I would personally love to see Tartarus sometime, simply because they have mentioned the area in the show. 

Some of the lands where the villains come from would also be cool to see.

Luna / Nightmare Moon survived because of magic.

Reason of that comes from the finale:

 

We see Twilight getting tossed against a mountain - but she is unharmed as she protects herself with magic. She continues to do so as she is pushed through the mountain. If that magic can save her from force, why shouldn't it be able to save her in space?

I forsee a LOT of world-building in Season 5 - there's so much more to Equestria than what we've seen, and that's really just a goldmine for storylines  

 

There's a lot of stuff left untouched on each mane 6, and there's still development to be had for each character - who's to say that those extra locations won't come in handy for that development? Like, we had Rarity and Manehattan in "Rarity Takes Manehattan" and Applejack and Dodge Junction in "The Last Round-up" There's stuff that can still be done within Equestria

I'd love to see the Griffin and Zebra lands in the show, that's for sure, but I think they could do more within Equestria as well. Call me biased, but I really want to see them visit Vanhoover.
