general media What's your preferred form of entertainment?

There are a lot of mediums for entertainment nowadays. So many time wasters, so little time. I'm curious to know what everyone around here prefers, and why.

 

For my part, I love a good story no matter where it comes from. That said, I have a special place in my heart for video games. Something about them captures me in a way that no other medium seems to do. I think it has to do with the interactivity. Depending on the game, it can really feel as if you yourself is pushing the plot forward, which I think is pretty unique.

Comics. Especially Batman ones.

Vidya gaims are a very close second, with books falling over sloppy dead in last.

Music is an amazing, man. I like to listen to metal and/or rock while doing other things like drawing or browsing the internet. It's a wonderful feeling. Video games does come at a very close second, though.

Video games are basically my life. I play them every moment I get the chance. If I'm not playing them, I'm talking about them. Or researching them.

Music, especially indie rock I love finding new things to listen to, and I always blog a song that I deem worthy of a Wall of Text of telling about the impression I get I'm also a bassist who sits at my computer, jamming on the 4 string all day

Music is a big one for me, in fact I've got music going pretty much all day, every day! I tend to listen to different kinds of music, depending on my mood. Like say, sometimes I'll turn on some insane dubstep, other times some softer drumstep/electro, and occasionally some really chill drum and bass. Hell sometimes I mix em all up!

 

Then there's video games as well. I don't particularly play a huge variety of different games, as I tend to stick more around games like Arma and Skyrim, but I do tend to play them quite a bit.

I still retain a bit of the 90s in me. I prefer the Internet for general browsing, but when I can help it I still prefer to watch TV on a TV set, listen to music on a radio, read books with a physical book, use a desktop for a computer, play video games on a console, and view movies through a DVD player.

It's hard for me to pick just one. I always love a good book, but at the same time I also enjoy playing video games, watching anime, and browsing the web.

 

I guess if I had to pick just one, it'd be Video Games.

I pretty much just read forums and such. I watch maybe a couple tv series a year. At most. Average is probably less. Maybe a handful of movies, like four or so.

Very hard choice. I love both music and computer games. And I can't make a decision here. So I will just go with both of them. 

 

Why music? It's now very important part of me (not as professional career, more as a hobby though), I listen to music almost all the time when at home and I find it very entertaining to write my own (even if short) riffs. I also enjoy figuring songs out by ear, it's no easy task but definitely pretty fun. There is wide range of emotions hidden in it, literally everything can be expressed by music. I generally aim for sad tunes (even if I like "happier ones" too). I have no idea why. I just like this kind of music most.

 

Games? Pretty simple. Entertainment. I love games with deep and interesting story, I also enjoy more "sandbox" games where I am only person who has influence on events of world I am in. I don't play as often as I used to though xD

Video games have been very important to me since I was maybe five or six years of age.  I've read video game-based manga.  I've listened to video game music.  I've watched television series based upon video games lol.  Video games have found their way into all other forms of entertainment.  Wish WayForward would actually make a darn MLP game.  *Heavy sigh.*
