  1. I'm missing a friend today and feeling a little blue. I would call or text or message him if I knew his fiancee wouldn't give him hell for it. She doesn't quite like that he and I were so close, and she won't allow him to talk to me. But he made his choice and stayed with her... I guess I need to let it go, but he was one of my very best friends, and I really miss hanging out with him.

i would hate to say this but he needs to tell his fiancee no. if they are getting married then they need to compromise on things. it would be the same if he wasn't your friend and the fiancee was. plus does she know that your married?

  2. Thanks for sharing this!!! I have been eyeing the mlp monopoly game ever since they announced it. I do t have enough money to get it quite yet, but I know I will get it!!! I really like the game, and I really like the show, so I'm happy they combined the two
  3. I got a new plush! I got her at the same time I got my cat ears. Whee!
  4. My favorite pony is Rarity, but I would be happiest living with Twilight. I love to read and I sleep late at night anyway, and I'm pretty good about keeping things organized. I am an introvert, but having people around every now and again to strike up intelligent, quiet conversation would be welcome at any time. Plus, I'm a very faithful pen pal, so sending letters easily would be quite lovely. I don't think that I would be able to take living with someone as particular as Rarity for very long.
  5. I dot see why they couldn't be considered canonical. I like how it can be used as a supplement to the show, and it adds to the depth of the characters and the richness of the story for those interested in learning more than what is seen on the show. I personally have enjoyed them. I would be fine either way.
  6. Coming from most of my friends who work at retail stores, they don't care or even pay attention to what people are buying. Remember, no one is really paying attention to you unless you mean to draw attention to yourself. You may be seen, but honestly the level of their concern in your purchases is just about as high as your level of concern in their purchases. Besides, who cares? You're giving the store your money, I think that's all that matters to the employees. And as far I as other shoppers, as long as you aren't making a spectacle of it or asking them to pay for it, they couldn't give a rat's butt if you get a pony, a bunch of condoms, a large pink tutu, and a zombie target practice set. I just buy my stuff, flirt with the cashiers, and leave.
  7. Another slow day at work... I suppose I sould finish my pinkie pie plushies so that I can finally get started on a AJ.

  8. I don't like my legal name. When people hear my legal name, the vision of a woman in her 80s wearing a flower dress, sitting in a rocking chair and crocheting comes to mind. I just feel like it's such an old, boring name. But I wouldn't change it. My first name is the only name I could ever respond to, and I don't think I could ever give myself a different name and ask to be called that. I have different aliases online, but to be called anything other than my real name in person is bizarre to me. My last name now is the one I got when I married the man of my dreams. I would have rather he changed his name to mine, but I suppose that's all water under the bridge now. My last name, though boring in sound to me, means that I have chosen to be with that man for all of my life... And I'm pretty proud of that. Even though it still makes me sound like a little old grandma.
  9. I think an anime would be pretty cool... If done correctly. Has anyone else seen the anime version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? That said not all anime is bad, but not all anime is good too. I think the animation style of the show is fine as it is, and the Japanese dubbed version of the show is actually pretty good. I would rather MLP stay as it is. Of course, I'm just the kind of person that likes viewing things in their original languages, because subtitles don't bother me. XD I think an anime MLP really depends on the writing and the animation. I'm just very picky when it comes to anime, and I really am not fond of the generic OMGKAWAIIDESUNE styles. I must be weird.
  10. I do agree it was too short, but I also heard that the first part of season 4 is going to expand more on the whole story. It did feel rushed to me, and I hope that the writers don't disappoint! Anyway, if you're still aching for a bit more of Alicorn Twilight and how she's dealing, the chapter books, Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell and Pinkie Pie and the Rockin' Ponypalooza Party are great reads. They're quick to read, too, and it just gives more insight on the characters. I hope you get the chance to read them! They should be in the kids' chapter books section in your local bookstore.
  11. I have twelve shirts, two backpacks, three bags, a couple of lunchboxes, four wallets, three brony bracelets, all of the MLP buttons from Hot Topic, and all of the stickers. I have lots of other things, but I can't exactly wear plushies, vinyl collectibles, brushables, trading cards, posters, books, or comics. I also have a pair of RD shoes that a friend of mine gave me. She took some regular white sneakers and drew a scene of RD with tank, and some clouds, and of course her cutie mark. I proudly display the fact that I'm a brony. I always have and always will!! Also, I'm broke as a joke now. xD But it's worth it!
  12. I'd say Applejack most out of all of them, closely followed by Twilight. The reason why I say this is because Applejack seems to be the mother-figure to Applebloom as well as the big-sister figure. She knows the meaning and the rewards of hard work and dedication, and she is of course going to be honest with you. She actually does remind me of my own mother, which is probably why I choose her. Twilight reminds me of my mother too, because she overthinks things and knows that an education is essential in one's growth as a person. She would rather I were well-informed than just believing what someone told me without questioning it. Now that I think about it, my mom has traits of all of them. She pushed me hard in work and responsibilities to my family (Applejack), in my education (Twi), and to exercise and be physically fit for my own well-being and health (RD). She also taught me (in both verbal lessons and by example) to always remember to present myself well and see the beauty inside and outside myself and others (Rarity), and always be kind to not just people, but to animals as well (Fluttershy). She loved animals but couldn't have any as pets because of my dad's allergies. But most of all, she always reminds me that even though there is a time for working hard, I should always make time to play hard too... and always smile (Pinkie Pie)!!! I have a really amazing mother They would all be fun moms, though. I think all of them have the potential to become good mothers in the future. No one is perfect, and everyone makes mistakes, but as long as mothers have the integrity to show their children how to take responsibility for their actions and words, as well as give them the love and nurturing they need, I think that's what makes a kid happy. What's funny is, I don't want to be a mom yet. I think I'd just be happy with my cats. xD
  13. I became a brony in January of 2012. I decided I wanted to figure out what all these MLP references were that I was seeing online, and why people were making memes and rage comics and all that about MLP. I grew up watching the show back in the 80s and 90s (Does that give away my age??!), and I used to collect them! Of course, as a teenager, I got over that phase, and throughout college and my early 20s I just completely forgot about them. But anyway, I started watching the first episodes of the show on my iPod at work (it was really slow and I worked in a salon at the time), and I just instantly became hooked! Not only was my childhood coming back to me, it was coming back in more awesome ways than before! I was impressed with the animation and the characters, and I was really REALLY impressed with the writing and how it didn't talk down to the audience ("on the precipice of disaster", anyone?). I was a brony from that day on, and I never turned back. I met some awesome bronies in my then hometown of Bloomington, IN, which is a college town. I loved them instantly. Unfortunately, some things happened and we drifted apart. And now I've moved to a different place, where bronies are quite scarce and not exactly seen out in public like they would be in Bloomington. I know they're out there, though, and I have to keep trying to find them
  14. Thanks for the warm welcomes, everyone!! Random replies coming forth, sorry -- Donna is my favorite companion of the revamp!! She had the worst ending, though, and I just don't think it was fair. ;__; Awesome people are always awesome, SkyStorm, and you seem like one of them! Heck, you all do :DDD!! Also, growing up, I've always had the problem of knowing ONLY older ladies that had the same name as me... never anyone the same age. Now that I've taken my husband's last name, I feel like I'm turning into one of those older ladies. xD Anyway, thanks to all for making my first post so happy So glad to be here!!
  15. Yay!!! A new friend already! I'm so glad I joined this site. I just moved to a new place, and this town seems so brony-barren (Did I just coin a new phrase? ). I miss my old town and all of my brony friends, so I've decided to make up for it here! ^^
