It was 3:24 pm and Times had finally gotten off of work. He could of gotten off at anytime but he chose now. He sat there drinking a milkshake. The place was packed today. There was an empty sear across from him and it was one of last few open seats. Times set his milkshake onto the table and yawned. He looked around and took another sip of his milkshake. For the first time since elementary school everyone but him had someone to talk to at sugarcube corner but it didn't bother him that much today.

Scarlet was wondering around town when she came across Sugarcube Corner, "wow, it's packed, I wonder why?" She thinks to herself as she walks up to the door. "Well, I'm here now, may as well go in" she walks in and orders a coffee. It was going to be a long rest of the day. She was in Ponyville, househunting. She loved Canterlot, but she needed to get away. It was getting too hustley and bustley.. She sighs, grabs her coffee and looks around, not a seat in sight,except for one opposite a stallion. She walks over to him, "E-excuse me sir? M-May I sit here please, there aren't any other seats left"

Times looked at the mare and said "Its fine with me..." Times said taking another sip of his milkshake and signaling her to take a seat. He smiled a look at his watch. He looked back up at the mare and ask "and your name is...." Times took off his glasses and wiped some hoofprints off of the lenses before putting them back on.

"Oh, um my name is Scarlet. Just, Scarlet. Yeah, my parents, Luna bless their souls, weren't very imaginative." Scarlet says, sitting down and drinking her coffee. "Is this place always packed or is there a special occasion going on?" she asks, trying to make conversation, she was good at making music, but never any good at starting conversations.

"Its never really this packed... Maybe they are selling pastries 2 for 1 or something." Times said before taking another sip of his milkshake. He looked at her and said "Well I'm Times nice to meet you." He smiled and held out his hoof for a hoofshake. Even though he didn't know her it was good to have somepony to talk to.

"Same goes here, say, you wouldn't know where I could stay for a few nights? My band's just finished touring, and I'm moving here to get away from the busyness of Canterlot. I love it there, but sometimes a pony needs some peace and quiet. I'd go to an inn, but after a year of spending nights at inns, motels and hotels, it's kind of... you know?"

(okay, I have to head to school so I won't be posting for a while)

"There is a house for rent 2 blocks from her. Two stories, its pretty cheap but its in good shape from how looks on the outside. It actually used to be owned by a friend of mine, but he moved to Canterlot last week." Times said

Scarlet smiles, "sounds perfect, I'll go check it out at the next open house. Would it be big enough for a few pets? And perhaps...a foal or two?" she asks him, leaning over, "wow, his eyes are beautiful" she thinks to herself, "woah, slow down there girl, you only just him, take it slow, nice and easy."

Times looked at her and said "Actually my friend gave me a spare key.. here have it" Times puled out a key and set it on the table. "and yes it is big enough for pets and foals... Why you ask? Do you have children? If you don't mind me asking" Times asked scarlet raising an eyebrow.

Scarlet smiled, "Not quite, I would love to have foals of my own, but I am waiting for the right stallion to have them with. But i do have a godfilly, who will visit occasionally." She says as she takes the key, "so how much is the house? I'll have to go get the bits out of the bank, and then organize all my things to be moved here."

"600 bits... somewhat cheaper then any other two story home here, all others are from 800 bits to like 2000 bits. I have actually been inside and with his furniture it looked really nice." Times said looking at her. "Just so you know the house is at 325 Lunar road."

Scarlet smiles, "wow, that is cheap! Perfect, I'll get the bits after we finish." She says to him with a smile. "So Times, what is it that you do for a living?" She asks, keeping the big question for later, "That's it girl, become interested in him, ask about him, but don't let him know that you are THAT kind of interested." She thinks, as a smile creeps across her face.

"I'm a shop keeper up in cloudsdale... So I heard you mention a band, What kind of music do you play?" Times asked looking at her. Times took another sip of milkshake. He smiled at her and thought to himself, Wow, in a band, that must be an interesting life. The closest thing I got to interesting is when a griffin comes into my shop

Scarlet smiles, "Oh well we mostly play industrial, and Cloudsdale, wow! I've always wanted to go there but you know.. no wings." Scarlet says, drinking her coffee. She starts to get kind of nervous and starts to fiddle with the necklace around her neck. It was a nice silver chain with a kitten pendant on it.

"Well I have had earth ponies and unicorns come into my shop. The unicorns teleport up there and the earth ponies get up by a stair case of clouds I created. You will know my shop because under it is a large swirl of clouds that is low enough to stand on." Times said smiling.

"Oh cool, so do you live in Cloudsdale or do you live here?" Scarlet says, finishing off her coffee. She couldn't help but keep looking in Time's eyes, there was something alluring there, but she couldn't quite put her hoof on it. She smiles as she could swear she saw a familiar sparkle in them, "So, Times, what kind of store do you own?"

"I live up in cloudsdale, and my shop is an extension of my house, and the store really it depends on what shipments I get, once I even turned into an armor and weapon shop and another time It turned into a music store. I have a whole storage room full of musical instruments, armor, paintings, Records, and other miscellaneous items." Times said with a smile.

"interesting" Scarlet says with her usual smile. "so you would sell toys and the such sometimes too?" she asks, "it's my godfilly's birthday soon and I want to get her something special." in all honesty, she just wanted to spend as much time possible with this cute stallion.

"I have tons inside the storage room, I could show you if you have the time" Times said. "I'm sure your godfilly will love the one you chose. I will even wrap it for you if you want," He offered smiling. He took another sip from his milkshake and looked up at her.

"Oh that would be absolutely wonderful!" Scarlet claps her hooves together in joy, then settles down, "hehehe sorry about that, but I can get excited over the smallest of things sometimes, though getting a very special gift for my very special little godfilly isn't something small. How about we go there after I've been to the bank?"

"okay, remember, look for the building with the cloud staircase. " Times said before finishing his milkshake. "and I will be sure to give you a discount" Times said before looking at his watch. "Well, I have to go. It was nice meeting you, can't wait to see you later." Times said smiling

Scarlet smiles, "Oh wow...you don't have to but thanks, and can't wait to see you again either." She says, hugging him from across the table. She then rushes off to the bank, giggling.

She bumps into her band's drummer, Harmonic Blaze, "woah there Scar, what's gotten you so hyper?"

"I met somepony!"

"oh?"

"His name is Times, he owns a shop in Cloudsdale and..."

"and?"

"And he's really cute and nice!"

"Somepony's in love!" Harmonic teases

"W..well we just met but, i..it could get that way.."

Times flew up to his shop and went in. He went behind the counter and opened another door, He walked through it and closed it. He was inside his living room and sat down on his couch. He had a stereo system in front of him and many CDs and Records next to it that ranged from Classical music like Mozart's Requiem in D minor to First of the year by Skrillex. He thought to himself and stood up. He walked back into his shop and sat down behind the counter. He grabbed a book and began reading.

Scarlet then continued to the bank, followed by Harmonic Blaze. She got out the 600bits for the house, and then a bit more for Serenity's birthday present. She and Harmonic Blaze then go to find the stairs to the shop, which they found without any problems.

"well, come on then Scar, what's keeping you?" Harmonic Blaze asks as Scarlet hesitates to take the first step, "W..what if..what if..am I beautiful enough?"

Harmonic Blaze looks at her, "Dear, you're the most beautiful member of the band, now come on. I bet he's anxious to see you again."

"O-okay" Scarlet says as she takes the steps up to the store and walks into the front door.

"T..Times?"

"Hello Scarlet!" Times said with a smile. Times flew up and landed on the other side of the counter. The shop had many different things on shelves and on the left wall was a door that said 'Storage' on it. The counter had a cash register and 2 books on it. Times looked at her and said "So Scarlet, have you gotten a chance to check out the house I suggested?"
