Woohoo Watches: Hey Arnold Season 3

Heeeeeeere's... Woohoo! I'm back once again with my continuing project of rewatching and reviewing every episode of Hey Arnold. Welp, we're halfway there... or three-fifths there. While I was rewatching Season 2, I was worried that any subsequent season after the first would be inferior. Turns out I was mostly wrong. Not long after rewatching Season 2, I started rewatching Season 3, which originally aired from September 1998 to March 1999 (although the season finale didn't air until Season 5. Division by 0 must always be a CPU Exception

In my previous blog about binary division, I stated the first rule about doing division is being "an Exception" if the divisor is equal to 0. This is different from returning a result. No longer will the CPU of the computer be executing normally after such an operation: Quotient = dividend / 0 Modulus = dividend % 0 The operation will return a quotient and remainder of a binary division (two results). If the absolute (positive) divisor is higher than the absolute (positive) dividend,

Are Real Numbers Real?

Let's talk about the different sets of numbers. First, we have integers, which are a simple and intuitive concept. It's a series of numbers going in both directions (positive and negative) to infinity. Rational numbers are not hard to understand either, as the name suggests they are ratios of integers. But what about the real numbers? Are they a valid mathematical concept? There is one fact that made me question it: most of them are "unreachable", which means we cannot create any formulas that "

Binary Math (Division)

Previously, we talked about multiplication and Bitwise Shift Left. It was quite fun to figure out how to do multiplication since basically all CPUs support it (all had to be figured out without direct help). Division however, is not supported by all CPUs, most noted by the modern handheld console Gameboy Advance that required a lot of division, but had no support for it. The C and C++ standard requires the division and modulo operators, meaning they must be emulated by the compiler if hardwa

Episode 86 - Baby "Yoda"

Mandalorian spoiler warning, obviously. Hey.  Y'know what really grinds my gears?  This baby "Yoda" thing.  Okay, I get why people called him that for a brief time, but even early on it was pretty frigging obvious that it wasn't Yoda.  Y'know.... because it wasn't NINE HUNDRED YEARS IN THE PAST.  I mean, for one episode I briefly wondered if that could have been the case, but it would be pretty suspicious for all technology to be completely unchanged for a millennium.  But by the end of the

Atlanta Braves win the World Series for the first time for over 20 years, victory over Astros in 6 games

The Atlanta Braves have done it to win the World Series title for the first time since 1995 with a Game 6 win with an overwhelming 7 to nothing lead against Astros. That's 26 years already for Atlanta, over 20 years. The Houston Astros unfortunately lost the World Series for the second time, but that's okay, it's been a great and overwhelming baseball season so far. I wish that Carlos Correa (Astros shortstop, #1) is still part of the Astros after this baseball season, which he'd be a free-agent

Woohoo Watches: Hey Arnold Season 2

Gunter glieben glauchen globen, Woohoo here once again, not torn into pieces but continuing my project of rewatching and reviewing every episode of Hey Arnold. Last time, I reviewed Season 1 of the show and held up extremely well, perhaps a little too well. That made me worry that the following seasons would be inferior. Now that I've got that out of the way, we have now reached the second season of Hey Arnold, which originally aired from September 29 to October 27, 1997 (although the Season 1 h

Houston Astros facing loss of the World Series against Atlanta Braves

After Houston Astros lost Game 4 of the World Series against Atlanta Braves with a score of 2 to 3 runs, the Astros are now facing a loss in the World Series trailing 1 to 3. In other words, my home baseball team is facing a loss and elimination in the series. Think that the Atlanta Braves will win their first World Series title since 1995 if they win another game, and it's been 26 years for them. It's up to the Houston Astros now to fight back and overcome a 1-3 deficit and force Game 6 and dec

"No two ponies are exactly the same, no two snowflakes ever match their design..."

This quote (I think you all know where it comes from) shows us that complex physical objects are all different from each other. Ranging from very big ones like galaxies, to very small like the aforementioned snowflakes, there are no two identical instances of them. But what happens if we consider really small objects, like atoms? Well, the atoms of one chemical element aren't actually all the same, but they are not all unique either. Every element has several versions called isotopes, which diff

Woohoo Watches: Hey Arnold Season 1

Pip pip da doodly doo, Woohoo here with... it's be how long since I've done a blog?! Wow, I've been really uninspired this past year. Thankfully, I've finally gained the inspiration to make a new entry. Now that I'm done rambling, let's begin. Years ago, when I used to be a Brony, I used to make review blogs of every season of My Litle Pony: Friendship is Magic. However, I never completed the project as my interest in the show tanked after season 8. Those entries have since been deleted. Fa

The Guiding Light

Warning: contains spoilers for the G5 movie. This entry is different from what I usually post here, but I just had to share some of my thoughts about the new movie. Specifically, what I want to discuss here is the symbolism of the lighthouse. I love that they made it the house of Argyle and Sunny, and here's why: The thing that immediately came into my mind when I saw the movie is a piece of literature from my country: a short story called "Latarnik" ("The Lighthouse Keeper") by Henryk

Ça fait longtemps

I'll bet this is a face you didn't expect to see again, no? Just for immediate clarification, to avoid any disappointment, don't expect to see me regularly. This was more of a way to step in and say hello to anyone still interested. I may post here or there, but don't expect me to be a regular. On a more positive note: hello again, users of MLPF! It has been too long indeed. Quite a lot has happened ever since I departed... to say the absolute least of it, but I am sure that subject i

Friendship Studies

*takes a deep breath* Okies! So, hanging out with friends has been lovely. It's truly soothed some of my social anxiety after this weird pandemic thingy. Actually, one of my friends introduced me to someone new, we'll call him Jared, it turns out I thought he didn't like me due to his stern demeanor but he's simply just very reserved (like me!) and it seems misunderstood. After a while, we got to know each other and it seems an actual friendship is formed.  I've also been speaking to a
