    Apparently, making the 100th episode about background ponies was Hasbro's descision, not the writers'. I have mixed feelings about that.

    Magical Mystery Cure. There, I said it. Say what you want about sub-par episodes like Dragon Quest, The Mysterious Mare Do Well, or Spike at Your Service, but at least those episodes were just bland and/or forgettable and didn't really impact the series that much because of that. Magical Mastery Cure permanently scarred the entire series, and honestly, it's a miracle that the show is still going strong after that train wreck of an episode.

    I'm not trying to be discontent. It just seems like a pointless decision that will only add more fuel to the fire unnecessarily. As long as they continue to portray Derpy as a living, breathing, and relatable character, I'll be happy, even if we never hear her name again. It gives kids a much better message than "fixing" her ever will. This is coming from someone who has been diagnosed as mentally challenged, so take that, soccer moms and SJWs!

    I actually like her new voice. The voice was never the problem. It was the fact that they went back and removed any mention of her name and "fixed" her eyes. Stupid soccer moms and SJWs. They're the real ableists in denial.

    No, the cameos were treated as cameos and the plot was acknowledged as the plot. In Double Rainboom (and unfortunately, Tanks for the Memories to a lesser degree), forced Internet memes slowed the story down to a screeching halt. I don't recall the Powerpuff Girls ever stealing the show in Slice of Life. There was still plenty of good storytelling in the episode. In case you've been living under a rock, the main storyline is about Cranky Doodle and his soon-to-be wife trying to arrange their wedding a day earlier than it was originally planned, due to a typo in the invitation. This is where Derpy and the rest of the background ponies come in.

    It may have been made with Bronies in mind, but it still works as a standalone episode that isn't alienating to the little kids watching.

    Slice of life, being the 100th episode special, came off naturally instead of feeling like blatant pandering. Well done, writers! However, I will admit that some the cameos felt a bit forced (Seriously, how did Discord leave the Twilight scepter lying around for over a season? It makes no sense!). I like how Hasbro has adopted the name Steven Magnet, despite the fact that it originated from an auto-caption mistake on an uploaded MLP:FiM episode on YouTube that they most likely took down due to copyright reasons. I'm glad they've finally gotten the courage to give Derpy dialogue, even if her name was never mentioned. Extra special bonus points for not "fixing" her eyes. I'm going to go ahead and say that I love her canonical voice. Now, we finally know the truth behind Bon Bon's multiple names and voices! Lyra's name is canon, too! Even the fanfic writers got some nods, with the sheer amount of shipping fuel going through the roof! The writers were definitely teasing the shippers (especially when Lyra and Bon Bon were exchanging secrets ). Overall, Slice of Life was a great episode that knew what it was going for, with a deep message, and whose cameos didn't derail the plot (*cough* unlike *cough* Double Rainboom *cough*).

    That's not saying much, considering The Crystal Empire is easily one of the worst episodes in the entire series.

    Well, sorta. They didn't do anything specifically romantic and they referred to each other as "friends" numerous times, but you could tell they were teasing the shippers. As long as people treat shipping (and fanfics in general) as the "what if" scenario it is, then it's really isn't an issue. It's when people go overboard and treat their ships like they're canon and tell anyone who disagrees with them that they're wrong that shippers become a problem. *cough* Sonic fandom *cough*

      Pro-life people are disgusting people. It's the person's body, therefore they can do whatever they want; accidental births happen, pregnancy from rape happens, there are tons of reasons why an abortion would be wanted. And yes you are violating human rights because it's not your fucking body.

      There are plenty of people who would be more than happy to adopt the child. The child is [i repeat] not an extension of the parent's body. It is another human being with its own rights.

       

      Also, speaking of "fucking bodies," 99% of aborted fetuses are the result of consensual sex. Don't try to tell me that rape is a major factor that I'm ignoring. The truth is, people need to be more responsible for their actions.

      Spastic Shotty, Twiliscael, Twi Rubix, DokiLoki, Royal, ghostfacekiller39, and possibly Ficta_Scriptor. The list goes on and on. These were all well-respected members for a long time who have been needlessly abandoning these forums over trivial reasons. I feel like I'm going to be the only one left. It's really depressing.
