My uncle (who had been hospitalized last week with terminal cancer) passed away earlier this morning. He was 81.

Cold and windy. It was warmer earlier in the day (upper 40s); there was even a brief rain shower in the morning.

My oldest surviving uncle was hospitalized a few days ago. I learned today that he has terminal cancer.

I started keeping one a few months ago. It's mostly telegraphic—but it does help me to collect my thoughts from throughout the day and to record dreams.

Yes, by a few inches. I'm 6'2"; I don't know exactly how tall my mom was, but my dad is 5'6" now (he has lost two or three inches with age). I inherited my height from my grandfathers, both of whom were over 6'.
