  1. Silver glared at the older pony that walked in to the classroom. Is this our teacher? he thought to himself. Silver was playing with a chunk of metal that he'd tried to smelt into something useful the other day, but just resulted in a lump. "Um, sir... May I ask who you are?" ((I think that we should be a little older than 1st grade... Maybe 5th?))
  2. I think that sentient would be a better word for this, but anyway, assuming that planet is in reasonable distance, which is incredibly unlikely(mars isn't even within reasonable distance with our technology), the best route would simply be unobtrusive study. Learning about a whole new biosphere could help us fill many of the gaps in the timeline of our own existence and evolution, and would be super cool
  3. Mine means young warrior in Celtic, and stone in Hebrew. Pretty solid overall. Jokes aside, Evan also means john in English.
  4. Weekend, where have you been?

    1. Arctic Night

      Arctic Night

      It was at the end of the week the whole time!

  5. 4.0 I am abnormally good at remembering stuff, so that helps.
  6. Ok, this is obviously an idiotic thing that this cop did, but some of you are blowing this out of the water. No on ugh at lives in America has any idea what it is like to live in a police state. I, an American citizen, cannot be tortured by the police, under any circumstances. I have the right of due process. I have the right to a fair trial. None of these are true of a police state. Another important distinction. Charges dropped. Yeah, the officer was being a jerk, but a rational and fair person looked over their case, and determined that they had done nothing wrong. Regretfully, sometimes money and connections can let you sidestep some laws, but NEVER call America a police state. If you want, take a trip to Egypt, or perhaps Syria, and get your fill of a police state there.
  7. Why is it only Wednesday? ;-;

  12. What is the goop? Do you mean gel? I think it added more versatility, and "we haven't really nailed down what this element is yet, but it is very lively, and does not like the human skeleton"-cave johnson Edit: in your defense, still alive was a pretty great song. And companion cubes were fun.
  13. Post-gen III, it wasn't available, but I love the heavy ball. I caught my groudon in it, and the effect is just so cool to me. But realistically, dusk, dive, ultra, and nest balls are my most used. The classic poke ball is nice too.
  14. Ah, that game. The humor, puzzles, and atmosphere all worked together wonderfully. Cave Johnson is hilarious, so is GLaDOS and Wheatley. The multiplayer is also fantastic, then ending, was very satisfying. The music was great, all around, one of my favorite games to play. The community testing chambers on steam also gave the game virtually unlimited replay value. Kudos valve. Kudos.
  15. i can't remember who said this, but it really put into words my feelings. "War does not determine who is right, only who is left."
  16. I am episcopalian. I, however, don't especially believe that someone is out there that will smite you if you're bad. I do believe, quite intensely, that the moral values in the bible are at least a solid start to getting humans on the morally straight and narrow. Voltaire, a french philosipher, actually made a bible with the miracles cut out, but the lessons remained. I believe that this is an extremely helpful thing. So I guess that makes me a Deist. Hm.
