I love reading my posts from the past and thinking, gosh that was a tad aggressive of me! Anyhoo, the point still stands. You heretics deserve nothing more than skirt and stew cuts!

Bravo Stromboli!!! The Napoleon of Puppeteers Sings Again!
SharpWit replied to Night Sky's topic in Media Discussion
A bravo to you for this triumph! I'm so used to Brent Spiner as Data, that whenever I see him perform anything else, I think of him as Data's brother, Lore, and feel this sense of danger. -
I used to play it in highschool. It was a major part of our PE curriculum for some reason. In fairness pickle ball did become our state sport about a decade later. I wasn't any good, but when we switched to badminton I did a lot better. My girlfriend's mom plays regularly and has a reputation on the court.

What Phone app you most like?
SharpWit replied to Cheery Berry Blossom's topic in General Discussion
Call me maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen because desputing feeling like yesterday I'm a throw back and largely use the web version of everything rather than apps. I use the Facebook app here and there because I can make reels there but not on the browser for some reason. YouTube for playing music in the shower when my phone is out of reach and autoplay just works better on the app. The app I use far more than any other though, several times per day is the basic Memo. All of my planning, thoughts and ideas go into that bad boy on a near hourly basis. -
I almost want to counter, because I think humans are the real things going bump in the night. The reason that there isn't so much variety or quantity in the things that can eat us, is because we made it that way. We are our own worst enemy because we're about all that's left in sufficient numbers. Some may fear the presence of another monster, but some are more afraid of the loneliness that comes with having no one to play with. It's probably best the horrors of the imagination maintain their distance.

Haven't seen the movie either, but that would make sense to me. I don't think you'll have success with combining colors, because A) The color wheel does work the same when chemistry is involved. Rare earth stones take on their colors from specific elements reacting under intense heat and pressure, so what you get can be vastly different depending what you put in, but you might learn something by looking into that if you think that's a rabbit hole worth exploring, and There's no way the creators put that much effort into how things look, lol. Dash wearing sunglasses was supposed to be "B" and ")"

Given the increase in what I would consider toxic human interactions, (Thank goodness ponies appear largely immune to this ) I wonder if this a process that circles back in on itself and minimizes human activity even further? Possibly unrelated, Saberspark just released a video about inappropriate, very adult themed advertising on YouTube, and I'm aware that's been an issue, but I didn't realize how much of one it was because I haven't recieved any advertising remotely similar to what he was talking about. Maybe my algorithm's just different?

Yes, the shake of the crack container. But to get it down just right, you need to socialize with them strongly from a very young age, become their surrogate momma. Get them used to falling asleep in your arms, being pet, even clipping their toenails. When done right, they'll try to get into your lap if you sit down within their area. Essentially, turn them into a cat. If you talk to them reassuringly, and repeat their name before and during handling positively, then they respond in kind and come to you when called, if not on their own accord. You can go with any name, but practice saying it aloud. See how it rolls off the tongue, can you say it clearly with a raised volume, are there specific syllables that raise and lower. The last bit is important because animals will often respond to words that also sound like theirs. For example, I have a cat named Blue, but we call him Boo sometimes, and we have another cat capped Tulip, but I also call her Tularoo, and my girlfriend has a dog that lives with her parents named Cupcake whom we often call Cupparoo. All of these Oos raise some confusion because the animals hear that part and think it's them were calling or talking about sometimes. Something to think about.

In my daycare we had these read along computer games where you would have to click an object to continue or something? Green Eggs and Ham was a popular one, as was some underwater one. Basically like the original Dora the Explorer where she waited for you to click on stuff. A cooler answer could be Diablo 2, but I'd argue I wasn't really playing it, and never did for any extended period.

So i got a Question regarding Villain Threat levels.
SharpWit replied to Jerry246's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
@Dawnshine Wonder Turns out their intent was that the clones were turned back into magical energy that returned to the mirror pool and nothing more, according to Meghan McCarthy. I would still argue that there's a disturbing level of callous towards their sentience, and that's reinforced by the one remaining clone's reaction we see in, season 6, episode 9, The Saddle Row Review. Sure they seemed to lack individuality, especially as the clones deteriated in quality from copies of copies, but little can be said from the actions of an afternoon flash mob, and we dont usually have a grasp on our mortality for quite some time after we're born, justifying the level of naivety to witnessing each others "destruction", so I think the jury's still out. But now the mirror pool begs a different question. I'm willing to bet most villains would end up fighting their own clones if they had access to the mirror pool, but if all you need is drones, then this serves as particularly dangerous with Sombra and Chrysalis in mind. An army could be raised in mere minutes. -
So i got a Question regarding Villain Threat levels.
SharpWit replied to Jerry246's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
@Dawnshine Wonder We've even seen Twilight be ruthless in "Too Many Pinkies". If she can take out a room of ponies that all happen to be slightly more annoying versions of one of her best friends, who knows what she's capable of when unleashed. Maybe her magic blasts weren't as strong while fighting the Changelings, or their armored carapice has some magic deflecting capabilities, but if she wants you gone, you're gone. -
I'm experiencing two levels of confusion. We're using a very food name for unrelated special talents, so you're giving yourself a challenge. Lime Mint as the option of referencing being in the lime light, mint condition, or the MiNT camera company which is quite modern but who's to say they won't be renowned in the future. How we convert that into relating to blacksmithing is the first level. The second, was how did a set of gears represent set direction, but that could just be me missing the subtleties of the design. Lime is used as a flux for steel manufacturing, and there is always minting of bullion, but we're still kind of stretching it. To keep it similar to what I imagine your gears were like, you could have a pair of coins with the mint leaf added?

What do "Bronies" think of this spoof review on "Goonies"
SharpWit replied to Maxmillian's topic in Media Discussion
Personally, I was mildly amused. As a brony though, I was only amused mildly. Honestly, had you told me that line was in the movie, I would've believed it, amd for some reason also thought it ended with a freeze frame of them leaping mid air. Guess I'm due for a rewatch. -
So i got a Question regarding Villain Threat levels.
SharpWit replied to Jerry246's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Firstly, the strength of the United States Military would be extremely hampered if it could only operate at a TV-Y rating. Second, and strictly for the war against Sombra, his use of mind control is such a devastating attack on morale. Every one of his soldiers is fighting against their will, and are just as much a victim to his cruelty as every defeated Equestrian. Worse still, everyone you were fighting alongside yesterday who happened to be captured, you'll be fighting tomorrow. -
Why did this pattern even exist in the series?
SharpWit replied to Jerry246's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Limited knowledge here, but perhaps the lack of friends means word of the power of friendship hasn't reached them yet with the same clarity? Word traveling down a grape vine will never reach the raisin below. I'm sure you've read of these situations, but there is usually the typical addition that the villain was betrayed in the past by those they considered friends, on top of the general greed in not wanting to share the spoils. -
Rainbow Factory Predicted By Gumball
SharpWit replied to EquestrianSnares's topic in Media Discussion
While the episode where Gumball and Darwin visit the rainbow factory was released in 2019, I'm certain there's prior mention of it as their mother's place of work. I've only seen a little bit of the show, so I don't know beyond that. The Amazing World of Gumball first aired in May of 2011, which does predate the Rainbow Factory fanfic by Aurora Dawn which came out some time in August of the same year. GET SLEUTHING!- 5 replies

general What is your opinion on (fanmade) humanized MLP designs? (Not meaning EG!)
SharpWit replied to lylth's topic in General Discussion
It depends. Generally I don't care. Some designs are better than others. There were some weird arguments at some point that I won't go into, but I think some people got more defensive than usual for any criticism in this category, because as persons they made the designs a lot more personal? At the end of the day, I'm happy to see people making art. -

Animated compilation from Miniscule, a French production company that makes skits of little bug characters. My mom sent me a link to one 2 days ago and I've been enjoying it. They're cute, funny, but also not that loud, so I fell asleep to it last night. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=POU5fLkYjnQ&pp=ygUJbWluaXNjdWxl

mega thread Song Stuck in your Head Right Now
SharpWit replied to Blue Moon's topic in Media Discussion
Enchanted by Taylor Swift, keeps coming on my autoplay and I heard it 3 times while dreaming last night -
I do beg your pardon everypony, but we're a day late, and spring is here As tradition decrees, this must be played out loud for all to hear as you begin your spring cleaning. I'll be working on the kitchen, doing some dishes, organizing the cabinets and pantry, and recaulking the shower later. How are you wrapping up your winter?
