As the good Doctor pointed out, there are licensing issues with Doctor Whooves. It's unlikely (though not impossible) that the BBC would go along with it, and unlikely that Hasbro would take a chance on a "parody" gambit. They have plenty of talented writers and don't need story ideas that badly. As for Derpy, alas, I doubt we will ever hear her speak again. They dipped their toe in the water with that and damn near had it bitten off. If the Hasbro brass ever approve more than cameos for Derpy in Season Three, it will be a bona fide miracle of biblical proportions.

The long summer breaks between seasons aren't easy to face, but as Feld0 pointed out out way back here, when the show's not on, we still have each other.

Queen For A Neigh As others have pointed out, Celestia was supposed to be a queen. It's mentioned, with source, on Princess Celestia's Friendship is Magic wiki page: So I suppose we could rank them as... Hasbro > Lauren Faust (God-Empress of Equestria) > Queen Princess Celestia Although some of us (myself included) think Faust > Hasbro, and that despite her title, Princess Celestia still ranks as Queen Celestia, along with Queen Luna, Disney canon be damned.

Riding The White Horse Pinkie's table manners could definitely use some attention, and maybe a full-on intervention. Her sugar addiction is right out in the open, and her manic, ADHD-esque antics are probably directly related to her sugar habit. Then there's the whole "Pinkamena" thing, suggesting Pinkie's outgoing nature is a facade thinly disguising an emotional powderkeg waiting to explode. If anyone is the poster pony for "serious issues", it's Pinkie. So maybe an episode where Pinkie's sugar addiction leads to her being kicked out of Sugarcube Corner after eating everything edible in the place, and perhaps a few inedible things. Needing a place to stay, she sleeps on Fluttershy's couch, only to eat everything sweet in the house and drive Fluttershy to use "The Stare" to get her to leave. And so on, from one place to another, alienating each friend, running out of chances. Eventually she winds up living in a back alley on the wrong side of Ponyville, scrounging through trash cans, licking discarded candy wrappers, doing anything to get a taste of that sweet, sweet sugar she craves so badly. The show could end with Pinkie being checked into a "sugar clinic", intravenously pumped full of NutraSweet™ and eventually back to work behind the counter at Sugarcube Corner sipping a diet coke. The letter to Princess Celestia would be simply: "Kids, Just Say No To Sugar." Hmmm. Maybe I should become a professional cartoon script writer.

Apparently, they're still down in the caves. Hmm. Somepony probably should go down there and see if they're all right.

Sweet Home Chicago Based on her parents' accents, dress and behavior (and the background music) in Sisterhooves Social, I suspect Rarity is from Chicago, or the pony equivalent of Chicago... Exhibit A: Rarity's parents. Exhibit B: Typical Chicagoans enjoying fine cuisine. Though she no doubt loves her family, Rarity seems more than eager to put her humble past behind her -- and probably her mother's cooking as well.

Read It and Weep was awesome, but I voted for May the Best Pet Win because of the killer song, the excellent pacing and the fact that it was a Rainbow Dash* episode, and she was in top form for that one. Best new character was definitely Daring Do for me, probably because she's basically Dashie with different colors and a pith helmet, i.e., "Indiana Dash". I voted "Yes" for the season, but only because there wasn't a "Hell Yeah!" option. There probably should be one. * Who, as we all know, is Best Pony.

I don't think we can use manes as an indication of an alicorn's mortality: For whatever reasons, and as others have already pointed out, Luna's beautiful star-field mane is opaque and plain blue after her transformation from Nightmare Moon. It was temporary, but still calls the "mane theory" into question.

I feel like I should spend less time walking on my hind legs, more time running with the herd, and that I should include a lot more oats in my diet.

Out Of One's Element The Elements of Harmony are probably locked away to keep the mane cast from using their power to blast belligerent bears, combust cocky cockatrices, dispatch disagreeable dragons, decimate devious diamond dogs, harm hungry hydras, mangle maddened manticores, grill grumpy griffons and pulverize particularly pesky ponies. But let's admit it: that would be SO AWESOME!
