Hello there, my crowd! Welcome to my Weekly Musings: Red Edition.
[I ❤ JAPAN] -- [I ❤ THE COLOR RED] -- [I ❤ CELESTIA]
Feel free to leave a song request. Your song will eventually be featured in a future Weekly Musings entry!
Hello, my crowd!
I could really use some cream cheese right now.
Can't say I have anything major to report this time.
My mother, my uncle, and coincidentally myself are all waiting on medical-related things to happen. Well, dental for me. You'll all be hearing about that soon. The only thing I can say is that the weather has been dropping. The summer heat is fading, and I hope that continues to be a thing.
Although, I did see the new Gumball show. Season? Not sure what to call it. In fact, I am not even sure if I can call it a season, since what has been released so far is only half of it. I hope we get the rest soon. They didn't even get a chance to address the cliffhanger of the last season. For now, all I can say is this is still the same show you know and love.
I think I'll share any additional thoughts when and if the rest is released.
MOVIE TIME! I saw The Garfield Movie (2024)! I am basically playing catch-up with this one. All I can say is, for children, it's fine. It's not necessarily for long term fans. It's not necessarily a celebration of the franchise's history. If anything, it feels like the start of a new Garfield reboot TV show. I'm sorry, but Chris Pratt is not Garfield. He could have potentially sounded like him, but never fully committed. That being said, there were a few moments that actually made me laugh, and a moment that REALLY surprised me, but the over-all plot just kind of felt a little forced. It doesn't know if it wants to tell a truly heartwarming story, or be the same kind of Garfield story we normally expect, so it never fully succeeds in either. The studio really wanted this to be a big thing, but I don't think it succeeded. Worst of all, they scrapped a great song for the villain. If this movie ever somehow gets a director's cut, I hope they animate the song and put it back into the story somehow. Either way, average movie is average. Some might like it, some might not, it's just average.
That's it for now, my crowd.
Take care, and sing out loud.
I was introduced to this song by @ExplosionMare, and I hope I get more suggestions. This was... interestingly haunting. This is "Too Loud" by Citizen Soldier.
