It looked like there were multiple sleepovers going on! Beryl would be sleeping over at Trilby's place, Keen would be sleeping over at Shadow's place, and most of Samurai's friends would be sleeping over at Samurai's place! @Windy Breeze 🥧, @CameoShadowness Trilby notices the glow on Beryl's antenna, but didn't question it. Probably just a breeize thing. "Don't worry, I'll show you." He gets up and takes Beryl with him. "Goodnight Shadow, Keen. See you both again soon!" He leaves first. No doubt, Shadow and Keen will leave shortly after. However, as he leaves, a look of shock hits him. He just remembered something he forgot to do today! He was suppose to talk to Astral!! ...Then he shrugs it off. Oh well. The doctor will just have to be upset with him for now. @Astral Vision, @Dynamo Pad, @ExplosionMare, @Pastel Heart, @C. Thunder Dash, @Kronos the Revenant Samurai waves goodbye to the guests leaving, including Kronos. "Thank you all for coming over tonight. I hope we have more parties in the future some day." He then turns back to those still here. Initially, he only offered a sleepover to a few, but now more of his friends are showing interest. "Oh my! This is going to be a bigger sleepover than I thought. Just don't expect the best sleeping conditions. We have blankets, pillows, and sleeping bags here. I don't keep an assortment of traditional beds. Japonies ponies tend to sleep in a very different way. I have one regular bed, so I guess I can loan it to whoever needs it most." Samurai says, showing his patience. He could limit the number of creatures staying over at his house, but he doesn't. Instead, he welcomes them all with a smile. "Follow me, please." At Thundy's request, Samurai leads them all to another set of rooms in his house. They are more spacious with very minimal furniture. The doors are grid-patterned, sliding paper doors. With a clap of his hooves, various kurokos come around and set up sleeping bags, blankets, and such for all the guests. It may essentially be sleeping on the floor, but the stuff provided is fluffy and well cushioned. Samurai also notices Pencil temporarily leaving to get some things. "Have a safe trip, and hurry back!" He looks at everyone else that is still here. "Hopefully, I'll see you all in the morning. If not, feel free to ask anything of my kurokos. They'll tend to your every need, and they'll make breakfast." Samurai wishes them all goodnight for now, and heads to his own room. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DAY 5 @Astral Vision, @Buck Testa, @C. Thunder Dash, @CameoShadowness, @Dynamo Pad, @Emerald Heart, @ExplosionMare, @GeneralDirection, @Jack Baker, @Kronos the Revenant, @Windy Breeze 🥧 A new day dawns over the town of Friendshire. A new start for the citizens, and maybe a new start for anyone that should happen to wonder into this town. Samurai Equine, like always, wakes up earlier than just about any other pony. Despite staying up later than usual the previous night, he makes time to wake up early, meditate, give praise to rulers of Equestria, put on his training clothes, and practice his swordsmanship on practice dummies. He has a space dedicated to this; training at dawn helps keep him sharp for the rest of the day. However, this time... Samurai seems a little distracted. He can't help but think about some things that happened yesterday. An Origami Shinobi suddenly appeared. Kronos tried to warn him about an upcoming war... Putting his sword away, Samurai looks out at the town through a window. "...It was bound to come to this, wasn't it? Can't just leave things in peace, can you? Leopard..." No time to waste, then. Samurai changes out of his training clothes, grabs some supplies, leaves a message for his friends, and leaves. Can't afford to lose a single moment. @Astral Vision, @Pastel Heart, @Dynamo Pad, @ExplosionMare, @C. Thunder Dash Hopefully, Pastel and Pencil enjoyed bunking together in the same room. More so then that, hopefully Thundy and Chelsea were able to get use to sleeping at Samurai's place. It was only going to be for one night only, so it shouldn't be too bad. Astral has a lot to think about today. What does he want to do? Where should he begin his research today? That mystery pony he met the other day... That had to be Final Premonition! It just had to be! He said that he wrote the book about the two mayors. And he also said that he'll come back some day to either take the book away, or to take something of equal importance. But what could be just as important as the book? Astral has choices. He can focus on trying to find a good substitute for the book, spend more time with Dynamo to help him with his magic, or perhaps do something else that's equally important. A lot of avenues. However, as they all slowly awaken and leave the bedrooms, they are soon to find out that Samurai isn't home. In fact, he left them a note in the party room. It reads: おはよう! Good morning, my friends! Sorry, but I couldn't join you this morning. I have a lot to do. Thundy, Chelsea, please feel free to explore the town. Finding a place to live, and a job if you want one, should be too easy! Astral, Dynamo, Pastel, and Pencil, I'll be back soon. No matter what happens, meet me at the town entrance by late evening. Mr. Iron Shoal, if you ever want more of that mountain sake, let my kurokos know. There's always more where that came from. Take care til then, my friends! またね! Speaking of, the party room is all ready being filled with all kinds of foods to eat for breakfast! The kurokos have been busy preparing food in the kitchen. The various tables have things like scrambled eggs cooked with soy sauce, rice, natto, misou soup... Okay, maybe there are a lot of asian dishes. But there is also fruit, crepes, muffins, oatmeal, and toast. Not to mention, fruit juice, coffee, and tea. They really went all out to make sure there was enough food for everybody! @Emerald Heart, @Windy Breeze 🥧 Samurai got to work preparing a hoof-made gift basket filled with things that hopefully Fable will like. If this doesn't convince her that Samurai just wants to be her friend, then nothing will. He leaves it at her door with a greeting card. It says he hopes that she will enjoy everything the town has to offer, and he hopes they can properly spend some time together as fellow friends. He also makes similar gift baskets for Shadow, Sundae, and Keen. However, each is a little different, custom made for their recipients. Each has an item only they will like like. He leaves it at their doors, offering his good will and friendship. @Buck Testa, @Ragland Tiger However, Samurai is the first to report to the hospital. He doesn't request visiting hours. Instead, he just wants to be the first pony to greet Bluebell and the mystery pony (Boulder Dash) as they are hopefully discharged from the hospital. He wasn't there for them before when they needed a hero, but he can definitely be there to help them back on their hooves. @CameoShadowness Meanwhile, waking up at a more regular time with the rest of the town, Trilby gets out of bed and freshens himself up a little. He leaves his bedroom and heads down the hallway. "Good morning, Beryl. Sleep well?" Trilby emptied out a cabinet in his hallway and turned it into a miniature bedroom, perfect for Beryl. He fashioned together a quick bed just for her, and a few other amenities. Trilby gives one last yawn. "I'm going to make breakfast. I'll make enough for the both of us." However, on his way to the kitchen, he hears the phone go off. "Hmm? Who could that be at this hour?" Trilby goes to answer it. "Hello? ... Oh, good morning Mayor White! ... Seriously?! ... Of course, I'll tell him immediately! ... Yes, of course. See you soon, sir." He hangs up and heads back to the kitchen with a smile. @Kronos the Revenant As soon as Kronos prepares for a new day and heads to the office, his boss calls him. "Kronos? It's Mayor Black. Hopefully, you got the payment I sent you for the last job. Are you ready for your next assignment?"

Just a heads up, everyone. There is a chance I might not be able to RP tomorrow or even a few days after. It depends on what happens tomorrow. Can't say too much right now, but I'll keep everyone updated.

There will always be plenty of other events in the future, some of which I have all ready planned out. Likewise, if you have any idea for a major event or story arc, feel free to tell me! Just about everyone else has submitted something.

Thunder Dash Not to make anyone feel rushed or anything, but I think I'm ready to move on, so my next post will be my last before the story progresses onwards. If you're okay with that, feel free to say whatever you want in the RP before we wrap up and move on to Day 5. Also, Day 5 will not be an event like the big kart race. I'm structuring the RP so that there is a normal, slice-of-life day between each major story-event day.

It's getting super late. The sky is black by this point. Most ponies would be in bed by now, and most shops are all ready closed. Anyone that is still up probably has a night shift, and is probably helping to turn this town back to normal. By morning, the race track and everything else will be gone. The town will look like it normally does every regular day. @Pastel Heart If Pastel looks closely at the art wall in Samurai's lab, there are also some unfinished pictures he has begun drawing. And yes, there are a few images of his friends. Dynamo in the arcade. Astral reading a book. And there's one Pastel, based on her musical performance at the town concert that one time. Mostly, these images a few others are just rough sketches right now. @Dynamo Pad, @Astral Vision "The Puzzle Box was passed down from place to place across Equestria in hopes that somepony would be interested enough to come to Friendshire and solve it. When it arrived in Japon, the shogun asked me to take the responsibility, and I accepted." Samurai explains. He all ready told Astral the story, so he was sure Astral could fill him on the other details. Speaking of... "Oh, I wouldn't want you to use your personal magic reserves for that, my friend. I appreciate it, but that just means you'd be wearing yourself out instead of me. I don't want to trade my own energy and stamina for someone else's. I'm a defender. If I can't keep others safe from harm, then what other purpose do I have? I'm sure eventually, I'll find someone who can help me figure this flight stuff out." That's all Samurai manages to explain before the new guests arrive. @C. Thunder Dash "Ah, Thundy, Chelsea, pleasure to meet you. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu. Let's get along." Samurai says, welcoming them. Although he does have a little bit of a problem saying Thundy's name correctly. It almost sounds like he is saying 'Sundy'. Curse these language barriers~! Samurai was expecting a happy meeting, but soon Chelsea is bringing up memories that are obviously upsetting her. "Ah... Ah..." Samurai looks around, not sure what to do. "Please, do not cry!" He waves his hooves. "Freindshire is not a perfect place, but you can find plenty of friends here. And you can reinvent yourself here too! The citizens of this town are lost and directionless, and we could always use more talented people to lead different parts of the town. Dyanmo Pad here came in and took over the Arcade, and no pony stopped him. I'm the town's military general and guardian, and the citizens were happy that I took over that job! Whatever you want in life, however you want to reinvent yourself, I know that it's right here. Perhaps magic brought you here because the town needs you more than you need it." Samurai explains. @Windy Breeze 🥧, @CameoShadowness Trilby begins to calm down. In fact, he yawns. "Well, this is a relief. I am glad they aren't evil invaders at least. I wonder what time it is..." Trilby pulls up his jacket sleeve and reveals a watch. "1:44 AM?! Wow, no wonder I'm starting to feel tired..." He turns to his friends. "Shadow, I think we should plan that second date tomorrow, provided I don't get too busy. And Keen, I'm sorry that we're just meeting tonight. I hardly got to know you. Maybe we can find more time to talk tomorrow? Any friend of Shadow's is a friend of mine. Also, Beryl, would you like to sleep over at my house just for tonight until we can find you a proper place to live? Since you're a Breezie, I am sure I can fashion a bed in your size. Best of all, the library will be open properly, so you'll be able to get a job there easily." Despite being a little tired, Trilby still takes time to be interested in all of their lives. @Kronos the Revenant Just as things are starting to calm down, Samurai hears Kronos rush in. However, as soon as he says 'War' the first time, Samurai quickly moves in close and puts a hoof to his lips. "Shhh~!" Samurai looks around. "Heh. Nothing to see here, everyone!" Samurai leans in and whispers something to Kronos. "I won't let there be a war. I'll make preparations first thing tomorrow to prevent that from happening. For now, please, let's give our guests end this night on a happy note, especially for the new arrivals." Samurai points out the new griffon creatures that just magically appeared in his house. Hoping that's enough to reassure Kronos, Samurai returns to Thundy and Chelsea. @C. Thunder Dash, @Pastel Heart "Excuse me, Thundy and Chelsea... It's getting very late. Normally I wouldn't do this, but would you like to stay here for the night? We can find you both a proper place to stay tomorrow. Unless my friends help me do something about Mr. Iron Shoal, I think I all ready have a guest that will be sleeping over tonight." Samurai says, pointing out Pastel's grandfather who is all ready asleep. "I tend to lead a very solitary life, but I guess having over-night guests wouldn't be too much of a bother, if it's just for one night. And if Mr. Iron Shoal is staying here for the night, likewise Pastel and Dynamo are welcome to stay as well. Hmm... What's the term? Sleep-over?" Samurai says.

Our dummies are being out flanked by the mathematicians! Deploy a squad of scientist and astrophysicists to give them some back-up! Alpha-Victor-Sigma-Charlie! Use your logical reasoning, soldier!

It's been a long time coming, but it's finally here! I've dreamed of this for the longest time.

Nothing to apologize about. Just having an open conversation with you. I'm glad to hear that, because Dynamo is pretty awesome too. That's awesome knowing he wants to fly too. I hope they all get to live their dreams.

@Dynamo Pad I'm not sure I'd say Samurai is jealous, just envious. I know they are similar terms, but "jealous" is usually used in a more negative or even malicious context. Samurai admires those with flight, and wishes he had it too. I just brought it up because I don't want your character thinking any lesser of mine.

@Kronos the Revenant The Origami Shinobi flinches, waving its paper hoof. "No fight. Not tonight." It takes a step back and explains itself. "In 3 days, there will be a war. My master will come to conquer this place. If you wish to survive, betray the Samurai, and swear loyalty to us. Those who refuse will be shown no mercy. Choose carefully." He begins to back up. "3 days. War." He reiterates before turning into a flock of origami cranes and flying away into the night sky. @Pastel Heart Samurai could not ignore the loud thud of Iron Shoal falling like that. He pops his head into the party room, then claps his hoof. His kurokos bring out a blanket for him. "I doubt he needs it, but just in case." Samurai says, ever thoughtful. He even waves at Pastel to join the group in the lab. @Dynamo Pad, @ExplosionMare, @Astral Vision "I don't think the Laronde Box is malicious... I guess I could be wrong, but it's the best clue we have to reuniting the two mayors. Why would Final waste our time like that if this box is dangerous?" Samurai speculates out loud. He also sees Dynamo is interested in his art, but he also notices which drawing he looks at the most. He's brought her up many times. With a smirk, he signs the drawing of Mistmane with a calligraphy brush, and gives it to Dynamo as a gift. "Keep it." Still, he listens to Pencil and Dynamo talk about adding magic to make the wings work. "Like I said, these blueprints aren't finished. I'm not really an aviation expert. Even if I were to build these wings, they wouldn't do much... Most synthetic wings are usually prosthetics, built on the root of a Pegsus' wing. Hardly anypony's tried to make a fully mechanical set of wings like this, and I don't know how to design all the mechanical elements it needs. Plus... I'm not sure I trust magic for this. Replicating flight with magic is really hard, even for magically advanced ponies like myself. I can use my fire magic to make myself airborne, but if I do that, I'll wear out my magic reserves really fast, and make myself tired doing so. I can only mimic flight in short bursts. Maybe if there was a magic item, I could use that. But what kind of item should I be looking for?" Samurai really has thought long and hard about this, but like he said, aviation isn't his area of expertise. Thus, that's why he fantasized about getting help from those who are. @Windy Breeze 🥧, @CameoShadowness, @C. Thunder Dash "Thank you! I could use the help." Trilby is glad Keen is helping him put get this karaoke machine set up; he could use the extra set of hooves. "Let's see... It all ready has a screen on it, so we don't need to hook it up to anything... Battery is in place. Where is the microphone?" Trilby says to himself as he sets it up. But it's fine. Keen figures out the rest of it, even finding the mic. By the time they turn it on, Trilby sees that it is automatically set to Japonese songs. Trilby blinks. "Heh... I'm sure there is an English option. And once I find it, I'm going first!" Trilby explains, messing with the language settings. About that time, a set of griffon half breeds magically appear in the party room, shocking or frightening just about everyone there. Trilby's eyes go wide, but he is so shocked that he doesn't even budge. "...On second thought, they go first." Trilby says, talking about the new visitors. Sensing and hearing magic, Samurai leaps out of the lab and sees their new guests. "...This town is becoming a magnet for new arrivals." He says to himself before bowing before the two of them. "Ano~ Hello! Welcome to the town of Friendshire. And also, welcome to my house. I'm Samurai Equine."

Awesome. Now I have to put that in my favs. I swear, I am going to find at least one song from every language, country, etc.

But, these are his friends now, and how can he say no to somepony so nice? He eases up and shares the prints and the picture of the mechanical wings. "Well, I hope you won't laugh at me, but... Secretly, I've always been envious of Alicorns and Pegasi because they can fly like birds. I've always wanted to be able to fly into the blue heaven, but I'm a unicorn, so I'm pretty much stuck on the ground..." Samurai shows Pencil the drawing most of all. "I'm not very good with designing machines. I tried to make mechanical wings myself, but I just can't seem to figure out a working set of wings I can attach to my armor. I guess in my fantasies, I thought that maybe if I made friends with various ponies and species from all walks of life, they might be able to help me make the wings I dream of." Samurai explains. @Kronos the Revenant Earlier today during the race, a gazelle appeared. It was made of paper and was disguised thanks to a hoodie. But Samurai identified the assailant as an Origami Shinobi. Well, after the race finished and the track was cleared, the discarded hoodie jacket begins to move. It too is made of paper! And its turning into another ninja gazelle. And that's exactly who is there to greet Kronos as soon as he sneaks outside. He steps up and points at Kronos, but before Kronos can think of attacking, it speaks! "You." Its voice sounds like a bunch of whispering voices speaking in unison. "You fought against the Samurai earlier today, and then you fought beside him. Tell me... Are you his friend or foe?" @Windy Breeze 🥧, @CameoShadowness Trilby nods. "I'm fine. Positive. I've taken falls like that before, trust me." Trilby gives a laugh. "Hay! Since I have this karaoke machine, should we set it up and give it a try? I didn't get to perform at that concert event a few days back, but we're not in front of the entire town now, so it'd be much more fun and simple this way."

Nice! Has a real hunter vibe to it. What language is that?

I think by tomorrow or the day after, we'll have finally moved on to the next day.

Well, the lab is just the next room. One door away, and said door is open. So I don't see why he can't lean his head in. Shadow Trail's story is about being haunted by the spirit of Nightmare Moon. It was previously exorcised in the RP, maybe. But this might be a continuation of that. Sure, go for it.
