Hi there, my crowd. Got any candy? 

 I thought Valentines Day was going to be the highlight of the week, but it really wasn't. I just had some sweets that day. No, the real attraction was what happened over the weekend. I decided to host a lunch for my family. I made a really good enchilada casserole, and everyone loved it. I didn't even need any thanks for the meal when it was over; just knowing everyone loved it was enough for me! 

 Well, mystery solved!  I had been experiencing slow down periods with my internet, mostly on my computer. I called my service provider, that didn't fix it. This problem has been weeks in the making, but it got really bad recently. Then I tried something random, and guess what? Turns out the problem was my USB Wifi dongle. I had it plugged into a USB 3.0 slot, but this cheap thing isn't 3.0 compliant. After putting it in a 2.0 slot, it works! No slow down. No disruptions. I really wish I had thought of this sooner, but at least the mystery is solved.

 MOVE TIME!  I recently saw BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER. I am sure some people probably predicted who the new Black Panther is. I had a feeling who it might be, but it still took me by surprise that they would actually commit and go all the way. Still, they made it work within the lore of this universe. The climax of this movie, the final fight, really seals the deal in making the new Black Panther a worthy successor. But this movie is more about two kingdoms rather than one. I like the way they did Namor here. He never truly struck me as a superhero, too angsty and antagonistic, though he has often been toted as one. Here, they find the right balance, but still give him future potential to do heroic things. The movie is not perfect, though. There are moments where the narrative either weakens or could have been done better. I still don't fully understand why Wakanda was so secretive about telling the rest of the world or the Avengers about Namor, other then the fact that it would mean more foreign forces on Wakanda's shores. There was even moments where the war in this movie could have potentially been deflated early. (I feel like I could write scenes for HISHE right now~) Still, a million little nitpicks aside, this movie was good. Not the best, but good. Above average. Not at all the weakest movie in the MCU, and it was a very loving send-off to Chadwick. I totally understand why they didn't hire a look-a-like now. That's all good and fine when the previous actor is just moving on, but when a main actor is dead, it's better to be more respectful. Here's hoping the next movie in the MCU is even greater!

 [ 1 / 2 ] I also saw Wednesday SEASON 1.  Knowing the Addams Family and how they are typically portrayed, it is easy to think that this special misses the point, but I actually see what they're going for. Besides Pugsley suddenly needing protection from bullies, Wednesday is not a kid anymore. She's a teenager going through a skeptical, rebellious phase. The Addams Family have never wanted to harm anyone outside the family, especially no one that wasn't on board for their dangerous sense of fun. Wednesday was beginning to lose sight of that in her teenage rebellion, so she is going to this new high school to find herself and get this rebellious phase out of her system. However, instead of finding herself, she finds a mystery that will help her to understand her family and her heritage a bit more, as well as challenge her in other personal ways. When you get over how nontraditional the story approach is, you'll find a masterpiece here. The music choice. The cast. The director and the crew. They even sprinkle in some fan pandering, such as saying an iconic line as well as making both portly Gomez and skinny Gomez completely canon.

 [ 2 / 2 ] It's bizarre when Wednesday Addams of all people is out solving a mystery way more captivating than whatever HBO Max is doing with the Scooby franchise these days. One could argue that was always a low bar, but no one ever expected this brilliant, surprisingly charming show. And yes, I will want to own a copy of the show's soundtrack. As I watched, I learned the show ends of a cliff hanger, but I was pleasantly surprised. While it does indeed end that way, the mystery at large is solved. So you could watch this one season as a stand-alone thing; but thankfully it connected with enough audiences that a Season 2 is going to happen after all, and I want to be in line for that. It's surreal, really. In an age where Netflix is making decisions that could bankrupt the company, no one expected them to deliver a masterpiece like this. So if Netflix wants to stay around, it is up to them to keep delivering shows and movies at this level of quality. I anxiously await Season 2, but until then... I heard Netflix has an original He-Man series that I really should see.

 DonBrothers 48: A New Don.  Talk about a sudden flip. I previously thought Kiji Brother was annoying, but now I see Inu Brother can be just as annoying in his own way. You'd think that having your life back would mean that you'd be happier and more lax. However, Inu Brother is just a natural loner, and I honestly don't find it charming at all. I could be wrong, but it looks like we're marching towards the end of DonBros. I hope we'll be ready. There is so many unresolved aspects to the show, and the next episode preview does not get me super excited about what they are implying. Even Don Dragoku feels like a footnote in this series; he achieved inner peace in this episode, yet we hardly got to see him shine. The monsters in this episode were carry-overs from last time.

 Geats 22: One Lady's Drama...  There is not much to say other than this episode is filler. They have set up a new character that is interested in Ne-On for unknown reasons. There is a new sponsor-level Rider. None of them have had a chance to shine yet. Ne-On did a terrible job of casting suspicion away from herself. The only good thing from this is that the story line isn't completely over just yet. It's all just window dressing to get us excited for what happens in the next episode. Also, I genuinely don't believe the Jamato sponsor is going to successfully walk away with the Game Master's driver, but I guess we'll see when we see.

I'm not Batman! ...I'm me.  Let's talk about the week we just finished, my crowd.

 The biggest thing that happened to me this week? Hmm... Oddly enough lawn mower problems. I need to get some fresh gasoline, maybe some new more oil, and maybe a new spark plug. Also, I tried to switch over to Vexus, but they rescheduled when the agent is suppose to come out. Hopefully Monday this time. 

 Man, is it normal for Disney to release a bunch of trailers back to back, or is this just a new thing? I'm surprised they are still making National Treasure titles. If Tim is returning for the The Santa Clauses, let it be known there is no franchise he won't return to. Werewolf By Night, a Marvel movie without Marvel superheroes, and it legit looks like an old time black and white movie? I might just see that! I'm torn with Secret Invasion... I might actually have to catch up to these Marvel side stories, I wish it were a movie so we could get the Avengers in on it, but at least Nick Fury is getting some solo-focus! 2nd season of Mandalorian is kind of making me want to see this now. Still not stocked for Andor, but I might see it anyways. Tales Of The Jedi? YES! I would love to see Duku's origin story, might even be my jumping-on point to give Clone Wars a chance. Can't believe they are going ahead with their race-bent live action version of Little Mermaid, but she can sing, so I guess that explains things. I'd need to see the original before I see Hocus Pocus 2, and I'm still on the fence about that. However, I did see Enchanted, so I might check out Disenchanted. 

 Oh hey, the forum if fixed! No more Status Update glitch!  Now to go back to my weekly game thing... Uhh... Now what? 

 This was also a good week for music drops! Mostly new Sonic music. Some have all ready been released in full, others not so much. Still hyped, though~! 

 I am currently trying to reprogram a lot of the programs/apps on my computer. They've been posting temp and appdata files on my C drive, and I need to teach them to save that stuff on my F drive....  Moving Chrome and nearly all its files to the F drive gave me nearly a GB of free space~!

 DonBrothers 27: Red VS Blue?  Sonoi and Momoi/Don Momotaro finally have a duel. Or at least they try, before the wildest battle royale breaks out! I guess if you were wondering if old monster hosts can get possessed again, the answer seems to be yet. The ninja guy has now become all about magic, and thus the MOTW is based on MagiRanger, but that's the only connection they share. Momoi and Sonoi have a break to drop some lore, but it doesn't explain why the Cerebrans are okay with killing humans, and leaves me wanting to know more about the Don clan. And even though Sonoi lost the duel, it doesn't look like this will be the last we see of him.

 Geats 01: Flip A Coin & Press Start.  So here we are, the start of a new show. After what I watched, I almost wonder if Geats will be the next one to appear in Fortnite. Seems the normal world and its citizens have no idea that they are locked in a game with monsters, and when the game is finished, everything resets back to normal. Or does it? Could it be that there are permanent casualties that the world is unaware of? Is Geats truly the hero, or is this really the rise of Keiwa's story? So many questions. All I can say is, I currently have no instant attachment to these characters. Geats is too full of himself, even if his Rider gear and attacks are the coolest. I don't want to get attached to Keiwa just yet since I don't know how much of this show will be his story. If you just want action and characters that act too cool for school, this is for you. However, since I link interest stories and characters, this first episode does not grab me right away. Maybe the next episodes will be better.

 So right now, there is a fansub war to see who will be the frequent subber of Kamen Rider Geats. To my surprise, out of all the unknowns that I'm not super familiar with, EXCITE! and Genmcorp have thrown their hats into the ring. However, I have no high hopes for Genmcorp anymore, so I will be using EXCITE! for the time being. It's good to see them back in the game, and I hope it stays that way 'til the end. 

 MLP TYT 25: In Memory of a Pink Pony.  Interesting episode. It's good, just doesn't go anywhere. The ponies try to throw different parties for Sunny and come to the obvious conclusion; one big combined party. While there is nothing outwardly wrong about the episode, it just didn't impress me. The new song was dull. Hooftag is better than Hashtag, I guess? Seems a little forced. And I'm sorry Izzy, but your Glitter Cannon needs work before it can compete with Pinkie's Party Cannon. Still, Pinkie would be proud. Also, this episode pretty much confirmed that the MLP Official channel is screwing up the episode order. I can forgive mislabeling the first 3, but now, who knows what the correct order is.

Hi there, my crowd~!  Is this on time for once?

 Can't say anything super huge happened this week.  I talked to my uncle and learned that there will be some forward progress regarding my mother's fence and future shed, so there's that. I also got some new supplies for my model kit. But considering all the frustration I've gone though, I feel like I might need a Gundam model kit just to get over the headaches of this one.

 I saw the Mufasa trailer. Can't say I'm excited. I wish they'd just make a cartoon instead of CGI movie pretending to be live action. Also, I tired a MET-RX Meal Replacement Bar. It was terrible.  It had inedible bits that I nearly broke my teeth on. I suppose to dieters and exercise enthusiasts, this might be a good fit. However, for regular people, this bar doesn't really do much. It doesn't actually replace a meal, and you still get that sick-feeling that comes from making a meal out of candy.

 Gotchard 33: Inside With Out!  So basically, this episode was made to promote Outsiders. Guess I should have guessed. We were overdue for some main-show advertising. I am surprised it took alchemy-based Riders a while to defeat technology-based Riders. With Dark Kiva, I can kind of understand. However, I am still a sucker for the trope of the crowd cheering for the hero. As for how I feel about Legend being canon... I think it's best to say that the reason we don't see him in the show is because he's too busy protecting his own world. Even the super weapon took some time to finish. That's the only answer that seems to make sense.

 BoonBoom 09: Delivery of Dreams.  So now I know why Boon Red fights. He is passionate about delivering dreams and helping to make them come true. It might not fully explain what his teammates mean to him nor does it explain if they are truly heroes or not; but at least we know that their leader will never look down on them nor their dreams. And hopefully, future episodes will expand on this. But for now...

 I hereby temporarily retire Super Sentai.  It's not an easy decision to make, especially for someone like me who loves Tokusatsu passionately. However, there are other things I need to accomplish in my life. So until that gets done, I need to step away from distractions, even if I'm doing it little by little. I might try to finish Gotchard since I'm over halfway done, however I may retire from Rider as well if I get really dissatisfied watching this show. We'll see what happens. With any hope, I can return to Sentai real soon in the future.

Hi there, my crowd. Who likes chips and dip?  I like cheese dip.

 Sorry this update is late. I was busy over the weekend trying to get caught up on a bunch of things.  Turns out, I never did get fully caught up.

 Also, nothing big happened over the week. At least nothing big in a happy way. There's been a lot of Sonic news updates, but nothing super definitive to cover right now. I wasted a good chunk of my weekend accomplishing nothing. Learned some sad news about my closest cousin. The only truly optimistic thing that happened was I got a haircut. ... Oh, that, and I got an awesome new t-shirt! 

 DonBrothers 46: Taming the Beasts!  No tribute to past Sentai this time around. It's just pure story. Having submitted himself to the Beastial forest, Don Momotaro was able to lay down the law with the Besastials and free the imprissoned humans. Sonoi was able to spin the Wheel of Forgiveness and free the imprisoned humans from Beastial space. It is sad to see Don Dragoku learn all his friends were illusions this whole time, created to help make his upbringing easier, but it does explain why Rumi was not super excited about his romantic intentions. It was never going to work out. But now, there is a new set of Cerebran generals. Sadly, it ends with the loss of the old guardian of the forest, and perhaps the loss of Natsumi's Beastial. What happens now?

 DonBrothers 47: Not a Donmocracy?  I expected more out of this episode, but it was all focused on settling the hierarchy of the Cerebran generals. It was nice to see Don Momotaro's father out of prison, and to see the show address the motif of the show. However, it was just a slow grind to the end. They pretty much took a whole episode to show both teams have trouble working together, something other shows set up and then resolve much faster. By the end of this episode, nothing was truly resolved. And while I have been sympathetic to Kiji Brother before, he's just the absolute most annoying here. I hate it! I want things to work out for him because he doesn't deserve the tragedy he's in, but right now, I just can't stand him. Also we've got two MOTW, based on Changeman and Battle Fever.

 Geats 20: Your Forgot To Lock Your Seed.  What can I say? This episode has more of the same. We meet the Jamato sponsor, but there's nothing extremely special here. Right now, I am just wondering if Jamato Buffa will rip his Zombie Buckle from Lopo or not.

 Geats 21: Sly Whiskers!  Ask and you shall receive! I wanted to see Buffa kick Lopo's butt and get his buckle back, and it did. He's quickly turning into an unstable villain before our eyes. However, the real star of the show was that epic ending! They took our expectations and pulled a complete 180. Could it be that Na-Go, the sweet cat of the Riders, is quickly learning to be just as foxy as Geats? How unexpected!

What's this?! A late Monday Musings entry?!  Yeah, it happens. I'll talk about it soon. Just feel free to read on for now, my crowd. 

 ( 1 / 2 ) Finally, it's movie time!  I saw Fullmetal Alchemist, the live action movie. My thoughts? Mixed; but mostly negative. It’s not bad, but it's clear this movie was made just as a cash grab since the anime and manga sold so well. The major failing of this movie is that it is paced like an action movie. While that might work for action anime; FMA is more about the drama and story than it is the action. So while you will recognize many familiar story beats, they happen so fast that none of it has any weight or gravitas. In the manga and TV series, they really drive home the weight of each situation and why it’s important. Here, if you don’t keep up with every little detail, you’re going to get lost; because they really shoved a lot of story beats in here. Doesn’t help that there are some continuity issues and errors within the film.

 ( 2 / 2 ) It goes without saying that the movie really needed an international cast. The source material is about international characters, so seeing western characters like Ed and Hughes portrayed by Japanese actors is a little hard to get past. A criticism I wouldn’t even mention if the film was ONLY shot in Japan, but it's not. Speaking of hard to get past; I really wish the dub had been a saving grace for this film. I am glad they got Vic and a few others to reprise their roles. For a second, it almost feels like nothing controversial happened with Funimation. However, despite the dub actors trying so hard, it’s clear this is not the same level of professionalism other studios could give. Heck, even the dub occasionally cuts back to the original Japanese dialogue for no clear reason. A random scream and yelling “Ute! (Open fire!)” are not quite the same as yelling “Gojira! (Godzilla!)” for example. Who did Netflix hire to direct the voice actors?! I can only recommend this movie for FMA completionists, nothing more. Probably will say the same for the sequel.

 And now some of you probably want to know why this entry is so late. It's because on top of making room to see a movie, I didn't realize I was going to get so busy during the weekend; which is the biggest reason I ran out of time to post this on Sunday night. Family was coming in with lots of visits, my mother needed some help doing some Christmas shopping, and I decided to get some personal shopping done myself while I was out. Didn't think I'd find anything nice yet cheap, but I guess that's the joy of shopping in a store, you can get ideas you never would on your own. By the time I got home, I had to make time to watch Tokusatsu. By the time I finished that, it was WAY too late for me to keep being online or post anything. So that's why there was a delay. I try not not make a habit of posting late, but sometimes it's out of my control. 

 Saber 12: Golden Opportunity!  It’s hard for me to be too broken up about Espada giving his life and Saber being unable to save him in time (especially since I’m not completely convinced that he’s dead yet). Espada fought Caliber in his pure gold form before, and it didn’t work. Why would it work again? Maybe if he actually brought Kenzan with him, like he was SUPPOSE TO DO, his ‘death’ could have been avoided. But at least we got some story out of it. Saber has his memories back, we get a better understanding of why Espada was so hung up on all of this, and Tassel is out of his mystery location?! Bring on the next episode, please!

 Saber 13: Nighty Knight. This episode was really lame... It just couldn’t live up to the hype from the last episode. Tassel didn’t appear again. No one was smart enough to see the pillars of light match their Rider colors. Saber achieved his Dragonic Knight form via mcguffin rather than a sentimental, story-related reason that would have made more sense (really hoping they explain this better in the coming episodes). I totally called it that Espada was not dead, but we got ANOTHER fake-out death scene (looks like he is going to be the next Caliber). I want to get excited about this, but everything surrounding it was just bad. ...But hey, Dragonic Knight actually manages to look more knightly than the Ryusoulgers and the Advent Riders from Ryuki, so that’s saying something.

 Kiramager 33: It came from the Labradorite!  I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am. As I always say, if there is ever a moment where one fails to deliver, chances are the other will be the better show. After watching a story arc that fell flat in Kamen Rider, Sentai had a MUCH better story arc conclusion to come back to. The climactic victory felt narratively cohesive. I still don’t understand why Sayo/Pink temporarily parted with her transformation device, but at least it all worked out in the end.

 Kiramager 34: As Cool as a Crocidolite! I am pleasantly surprised by this episode. I was expecting a filler, but got more out of it than I thought. Garza is stronger after all, something’s up with Yodonna, and they’re finally setting up for the arrival of the ultimate enemy. I am hoping this show has a really satisfying finale.

 December is a weird month for me in terms of movies. Obviously, no one is going to the theater this year. So aside from any gotta-see-it blockbusters, there's really nothing I want to see other than holiday movies. However, with so many streaming services, my Netflix account is looking pretty useless on its own. If it isn't exclusively on Disney Plus, it's definitely only on something else. I'd have HBO Max if they had an app for it that works on my Roku smart TV. Ugh... I may or may now see that CGI Grinch cartoon, unless I can think of something better to see. But my mind is coming up blank, so... Any holiday movie requests? Let me know!

It might not be the most important thing to focus on, but when it comes to that awful, soft reboot of the Powerpuff Girls, someone had to say this. Another slow one, eh my crowd? 

 Once again, nothing big happened this week. Most of my family is feeling sick, and I'm expecting snow. So I didn't really do much, except prepare for the weather. 

 Sadly because of some dumb business decisions at Hasbro (seems like they are really racking those up as of lately), it looks like there will be job layoffs. To top it all off, they might be selling off eOne Entertainment, their international subsidiary. This affects me personally because eOne made it possible for the fandom to get more official Super Sentai releases in the west. I'd hate to see that suddenly end. 

 I've been watching Wednesday lately! Glad to be getting around to the next part of my New Years resolution. Only seen about half of it, but I'm hooked so far.  They've got some really great people working this!

 DonBrothers 45: Beast Story So Far!  Episodes like this are what I've been waiting for, for so long! I'm loving every moment of it. Not even Kiji Brother turning into the MOTW again (based on GaoRanger) is enough to derail the story. What will happen to Kiji now? What will happen to Taro? Will Doragoku's reality come falling apart around him? I'm on pins and needles wanting to see more. We even got a cameo from King-Ohger's mecha of all things, but I'm wondering if there will be another cameo in the next episode.

 Geats 19: 5 Star Turnaround!  Man, what a tease of an ending! We knew Tycoon would prove himself and that Nadge-Sparrow would be voted off, but I didn't realize they'd be saving the Desire Star reveal for the end of the Grand Prix! This only fuels my belief even further. I don't think there ever was a Desire Star; I bet they made it up just to cause some in-fighting, even though Nadge-Sparrow was purposefully making Tycoon look bad. Guess we'll see how things go.

Would you party with me? I need a reason to celebrate.  Let's go over the wild week I just finished, my crowd!

 For once, I have many things competing for the most exciting thing that happened to me! But I'll start with the one that was the most terrifying.  Long story short, my primary hard drive (SSD) ran out of space. My fault for getting something that was small. It took a hit to my bank account, but I was able to save my computer by getting a new SSD. I was hoping to wait since this was going to be my birthday gift, but two Windows updates in a row pretty much killed that idea. I was HOPING to get a SSD with a TB of space, but one wasn't available, so I had to settle for half a TB. Hopefully that will be enough, and maybe now I can get to work reinstalling programs and things I deleted before. ... I wonder if my previous computer had a SSD.  (BTW, I got to keep my old SSD, but I couldn't install it since there were no extra cables for it.)

 At the beginning of the week, I managed to successfully switch my Internet/Phone/Cable service provider! I have left Optimum (previously known as Suddenlink), and I have joined Vexus. They have fully connected my house up and everything.  However, they have started the billing cycle early. I need to make sure everything with Optimum is cleared out. I removed my card from their files, but I want to make sure they won't try to keep charging me or anything. I almost didn't make it as well! The timing of my computer problem was most unfortunate. It kept me from logging onto my Optimum account online because I only had digital records of my accounts. I forgot to make written records. But thankfully, I was able to get my computer back real soon and do what needed to be done.

 Despite everything, I actually managed to have enough to get everything I need for my lawn mower and my weed eater.  Of course, my uncle borrowed the filter for my lawn mower. He was going to clear it out and he hasn't returned with it yet... But if the weed eater works, then I should be able to get a good start, at least! Here's hoping this works.

 There was one epic trailer that was dropped this week that has got me hyped!  It won't be long before MLP Make Your Mark premiers, and the trailer showed off a certain purple princess that no one expected to see! Game on, MLP. My hope was beginning to wane, but you have a chance to bring me back in. The other was Sonic Frontiers. I am SO happy to know that Super Sonic will be a part of this story and it isn't being phased out after all. Also completely unexpectedly, after I got my computer fixed, the next episode of Elements of Justice dropped! It ended on a cliffhanger, but it was so good, and I have some predictions for how this case will end.

 DonBrothers 28: Strangers In The Nightshade.  This episode was a mix of things. I am beginning to really dislike it when Super Sentai introduces a new giant robot combination in an episode that has nothing to do with it. This episode's main story, compelling as it was, didn't reveal to the DonBrothers who Inu Brother is. I hope it at least left a clue. I believe the MOTW was themed after Dynaman. However, this is one time I don't mind that the host has no connection to Dynaman since that show was kind of basic anyways. The only thing that falls apart about this story is that Inu Brother had no reason to actually help the lady in this episode. Seriously, why did he care if she alerted the police? He's been on the run this whole series.

 Geats 02: No Gold Rider For You!  And now after two episodes, I am getting a better handle on this. Geats is a fox that plays tricks, and the ultimate trick is that he is keeping us guessing. He has a good side, but doesn't let the world see it. To his fellow Riders, he is competitive and will gladly encourage them to rise up by being their rival. Who he is and what he is after is the main story. It looks like Keiwa is going to be the other half of this main story. He seems to be truly virtuous but never had a reason to fight before. He couldn't save a friend from death and Geats manipulated him, so this show is going to slowly build him up into a dependable Rider. Still many mysteries about the monsters, the grand prix, and so on. However, I like this better than Ryuki. And while it makes sense that an unconventional titular Rider would be played by an unconventional character, I do hope we learn more about Geats soon, because his current characteristics could easily get annoying.

 ReVice Girls Remix 03: Ladies Liberated.  Well, this special surprised me. It did not end the way I hoped. I admit, I have not seen all the Build specials, so I don't fully know what to expect with Takigawa or what I should have expected. I call BS that Kanon didn't get to become Kanon Specter! Furthermore, I jumped the gun. I thought they were reviving Yuriko Misaki, the original Tackle, as an evil Tackle. Turns out, this was just an orphan with a similar name, Yuriko Kuroe. Still, she makes a great Tackle. I could speculate, but thinking about it too much makes my head hurt, and I could go on forever about it. If you were ever wondering if Sakura and Hana were a couple or not, this short spells it out that they just see each other as family and nothing else. Sorry if you were expecting more. Perhaps if I was a little girl, I might enjoy this, especially if I were too young to have seen Ghost or Build. It's not bad, but it could have been better.

 MLP TYT 26: Put Your Hoof Art Down!  It's always a good time when Izzy is helping background ponies that need it. It's great to see that unicorn tavern in full again. However, I must stress this again... Limiting one unique design per customer is NOT a good working model, even for artists with boundless amounts of inspiration. You will not find a nail saloon that does the same IRL. You might be able to get away with that as a pony, because I know Rarity does with her dresses, but that's why they are magical talking ponies. ...Also why is there so much disrespect for mass production and making multiple identical things? It makes this episode very confused. Jazz is against giving the same design to multiple ponies, but she has no problem copying the art styles and patterns made by some other pony she's never met? Kind of unbalances the moral about being your own artist and making your own things.

Tokusatsu Music Highlight:

"Bang! Bang! Revolution" by Rider Chips.

Hey, Rider Chips have a vocalist!  This song is the secondary track from the single "Full Force", the first ED theme to Kamen Rider Kabuto. It tends to be forgotten when thinking of all the songs we got out of Kabuto, which is totally typical. If it didn't play in the show, some might argue that it doesn't count. Tonally speaking, this song doesn't quite match the vibe of the other songs heard in Kabuto. But this is still a fun song that deserves to be remembered! Other songs might get covered and remade many times, but for songs like this? There is only one.

First week of 2023! How did you all enjoy it, my crowd? 

 I guess the biggest thing that happened to me this week was my day of shopping. I got a Google Chromecast (which I learned I didn't completely need, but at least I can use it as a back-up option just in case). Also, my work hat broke, so I bought a new one. It's netted so it breathes better. I may switch over to netted caps. ...Getting older is fun!  Also got a flashdrive, because you can never have enough of those. Yay~! In other news, I completed one of my first New Years resolution goals. I watched Sonic Prime! More on that later. I may even want to add more Netflix shows to my list...

 I had to settle some issues with my bank. For some odd reason, they didn't like one of my online purchases, so they temporarily locked up my account and my debit card. This has kept me from doing other things, but hopefully everything is resolved now. In the meantime, I am thinking of which tokusatsu DVD or Bluray I should purchase next... 

 DonBrothers 42: Yes I Con!  Once more, we have an episode that is almost too good for DonBrothers. In some ways, I would love to see more episodes like this than some of the usual episodes we get, but since the show is almost over, I feel like we really should be seeing less filler episodes. The best thing about an episode like this is, while it does have the DonBros brand of silliness, it is kept subtle enough that it doesn't derail the otherwise good story. Thought I will say, the MOTW is based on GoRanger, and GoRanger deserves way better representation. I get the analogy, but comparing GoRangers to ninjas is such a lazy, dumb-down summation that anyone could do that; even people not from Japan.

 Geats 16: Presenting the Fox Box 2.0!  We waited for this conclusion, and it did not disappoint. The sponsor stepped in and terminated the Game Master for cheating, and he did it without barely lifting a finger. Still, his exiting words set up a mystery surrounding the Jamato. And before we can even focus on that, the episode drops another big reveal on us! The DGS is actually one big reality TV show! What?! Who is watching? Are the wishes granted even real? Are the sponsors, staff, and audience somehow not affected by the wish? Is the 'normal' world the Riders live in even real at all? So many questions! But the biggest question I have... Is anything else going to be reversed from the Game Master's meddling? We lost Buffa, and his new situation doesn't look good...

 Sonic Prime S1: Such riches a plenty!  Wow. WOW! Just... Just wow. It's only season one, but this has the potential to be the absolute best Sonic cartoon ever made. It's not perfect, but any negatives I have to say are minor. Sheer nitpicks at best. But the failings cannot be overshadowed by the potential. For example, you won't see Angel Island nor the Master Emerald mentioned here, but just because they were absent doesn't mean they don't exist. The Chaos Emeralds do, so everything else might exist as well. It has a lot of potential to live up to because... This is only the beginning. The show ended on a cliffhanger, but WOW what a great start! Heck, I say this knowing that the show is not what many Sonic fans were hoping for. Some were hoping this Sonic would meet other Sonic's; like Boom Sonic, Archie Sonic, Fleetway Sonic, etc. And it still could happen in the future, but right now they are building a bigger and important narrative, so I think it deserves some slack. Even if you are tired of multiverse stories, the reason it's used here should be obvious and appreciated. Basically, I can see why this is one of the top successful originals on Netflix right now. It's rare when Netflix makes something good, but when they do, they nail it. Here's hoping we'll see Season 2 real soon. Next time... Wednesday. (Snap, snap)

Well what do you know! I finally figured it out! 

For some reason, I could not see emojis as colors or anything. They were just flat pieces of text, and half of them appeared as blank boxes. I was originally blaming my old computer, but there has been updates for Windows 7 to make mobile and other emojis visible, and I all ready had those updates installed.

Turns out, it was just Chrome being weird. I've installed a Chrome extension that fixes everything! Never under estimate the power of "Just Google it."
