Be who you wanna be. Never stray from that path. Positivity and focus. :)

  3. I may have just admitted that Autumn and Winter are my favorite seasons, but I love this kind of beachy theme music to no end.
  4. While there hasn't been any male alicorns, I don't think that that's necessarily the case. It could very well be but they haven't outright said that males can't be alicorns. It's said that all alicorns are princesses (princes) too, but I don't think it's the other way around, as seen in the case of Shining Armor and Blueblood. They are princes but not alicorns, so there could be princes and princesses that aren't alicorns.
  5. Oh I've seen Baccano, I forgot about it actually. Loved the cameos in DRRR!! And really!? I just accepted that that was it lol
  6. I should seriously consider writing down all the stupid things we say at work. It's hillarious. We also shouldn't be saying these things at work lol.

It's one of those things that can make the work environment quite humorous at times, haha.

My workplace is quite humorous most of the time. Of course it has it's BS and drama too, but it's still awesome to work there because I seriously don't think any of us could really get away with it anywhere else.

  7. I'm not exactly the biggest fan of anime, things like DBZ I liked in the past but I don't really find the best anymore and I tried to get into Naruto but I just couldn't. I mean I really tried otakus lol. It's really anime like Durarara!! (the two exclamation marks are important lol) and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood that keep me wanting to watch anime but I've still seen nothing really that catches my interest. Durarara!! has a couple of characters with mythical powers, or are OP in the case of Shizuo and Izaya (also Simon but he's also a pacifist so he doesn't fight mostly), for a story that takes place in modern day, still it's really cool. Of course I'm too into the mythical and the fantastical for that to bother me but I still recommend watching it since I think my favorite part is when everyone in the background becomes important, the scene still gives me chills and makes me extremely happy to be a kind of background person. Fullmetal Alchemist: brotherhood I think is awesome though. One thing that FMA:B does is that it lays down the rules to it's world and then it never breaks them, never throws a curveball really. I mean theres a timeskip that I'm not particularly fond of, but it's fine, because the story is just as much about the main character as it is about his friends. The original Fullmetal Alchemist branched off form it's predocessor's story since the manga was not nearly finished when it got made and I haven't watched all of the original but from what I've seen (and opinions I've heard from my friends that have.) I think it's better than the original but I can't say for sure. The other great thing about both of these is that they don't go on for 200 episodes. FMA B runs to about 64 but Durarara!! comes to a halt about 24 episodes. Durarara!! also has a bit of unique humor in it, at least for anime, but FMA:B has lots of obvious anime cliche humor, but I love anime cliche humor so much lol. Maybe I shouldn't have gone on a rant, it's not like I'm trying to make any of you watch it or anything, I guess I just felt like explaining why I liek them is all ...
  8. Hmmm worst movies worst movies... I don't watch many movies to be honest. But I agree with you the Last Airbender movie was terrible. I guess The Purge is one of the movies that I hate because of the wierd following it has. I didn't think ti was that bad when I watched it but it's fans just ruined it for me. Good thing all you bronies are pretty awesome.

  10. I was writing about my OC Mystic Callabus on the forums here and I mentioned a book that he read and ever since that, I've been seriously thinking about writing that book. That would include making a world based around it (since it was a fiction). I can't get into worldbuilding right now I'm supposed to be learning how code

  11. I've started the long dark road of sorta half-ass-ly going back to college. I'm taking a course at my leisure from Lydia.com

  12. I think I'm going to rework most of my OCs, but I still like a couple of them alot. I have a crystal pony named Bronze Amethyst (or bron as most ponies call him). He was raised and taught how to fight by his father, a member of the guard before Sombra took over. Bronze lost his father when Sombra took the kingdom and when the sisters sealed him away, he was trapped in the curse that Sombra laid upon it. Centuries later after Sombra was defeated, he was freed form his depressed state and began traveling the world, helping anypony that he could and learns about everything that's changed in the last thousand years. I haven't decided on his Cutie mark yet though. He's very geneous, to the point of ruining himself, with his money as he doesn't truly believe it's important. The second OC is a unicorn named Mystic Callabus (as a colt he introduces himself as Skyward, but when he's older he prefers ponies to call him Cal.) He's the son of two ponies who head the Callabus family, a prestigous and rich family who runs a university in Eastern Equestria. He was tutored from a young age about magic and how it influences the world around him, as well as the many different types of magic there is (I have my own little headcannon about that). Cal's favorite pass-time when he ran away from his tutors was to read in the library. Fantastical Adventure books were his favorites, one such was titled, Tales of Equinia, a story about how a young pegasus learns to forgive people for their mistakes while he travels between two worlds and saves the worlds with his firends in the process. The pegasus' name was Skyward and he would sometimes even talk to the book like it was an imaginary friend. One night, he decided to use the magic his teachers had shown him to escape from his parent's estate and travel the world to learn more and more about it from outside of a library. The thing about my OCs is that I seem to want to write stories about them over actually RPing with them (which is what I REALLY wanted to do with them) but still. I also have Bright Bastion, and I don't want to mess with him but I feel like he's too generic. I'm at a loss T_T. ANyway, here's a link to Bastion's profile since it was horrendously long and I still have no idea how to shorten it without taking out parts that I want to point out. http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/bright-bastion-r7263 Like I said, I seem to want to make stories about them.
  13. You know, it's kind of strange now that I think about it. Twilight is supposedly in her early twenties. But then again a pony being even romantically attracted to a human ... oid kind of strange. Come to think of it, how old is Sunset Shimmer? Didn't she date eqg Flash?
  14. The first games I remember were on my Sega Genesis. I had a six pack in one sega game with Sonic the hedgehog, shinobi and a couple of other games. I also don't remember what order I go them in, but I also remember sonic 3, the little mermaid and a Batman & Robin game. OH and Power Rangers. I played that all the time.
  15. I mean Shining Armor has to have been in the Royal Guard for years to become the captain of it, I don't think that Flash is necessarily as old as him. He could have just joined the guard for all we know and be nearly the same age (I tend to think Twilight's more 21 than 23). Besides, I don't like the fact that they only try to touch on Flash Sentry in the movies, just like twilight's case, Flash and his eq counterpart could be completely different because of one event not taking place the exact same. I mean , the eqg mane ... 5 weren't the best of friends like they are in mlp, and twilight might be a reclusive scientist because she never met her friends.
  16. I really don't like flash sentry. Not saying that I don't want him as a character, but I really don't like this shipping thing that they are trying to do. In my head they should cut Twilight off form eqg universe and have a scene where flash in MLP universe mentions to Twilight that he had a friend who was Celestia's student before her that he really liked but disappeared one day after she made a mistake. That of course being Sunset Shimmer. While I think that, that's not necessarily the best way to handle it and I don't think that the writers are gonna go that route. But still, it'd be better than just pretending like it never happened. They could even turn that into an episode where twilight learns to deal with rejection, but I think that shoots way over the head of the target audience for the show.
  17. To me, I think Mario is seriously overrated. I mean I loved some Mario games (Sunshine and Galaxy) but the others are kind of monotonous. Platformers may not be your thing at all, I'm not to good at most old school mario either, but just because you don't excel at one type of game doesn't mean you suck at video games. Video games are as varied as people now-a-days. Look at Kingdom Hearts for instance, someone coming form final fantasy probably finds the command bar really awkward to control, but I don't find it weird at all. And sephiroth in KH1? He was a lot more fun to fight than in two. You don't suck at video games, you just suck at certain video games (but I would try Zelda again because Zelda is tons of fun) and there is nothing wrong with being bad at some video games, I mean you can't be perfect at everything.
  18. I don't remember Twilight ever casting "Light" magic or that light magic was ever mentioned in the show Then again I have a bad memory apparently.
  19. I thought they used the elements too to be honest. But I love the element of dark magic. Mainly because harmony is good and all, but I tend to like it better when it's balanced than being overly good. I think we need more evil in the world. I'm kind of forgetting it's a kids show meant to sell toys, and i'm not exactly the target audience, but still. I also LOVED it when Twilight used dark magic to reveal the path to the Crystal Heart in the Season 3 Premiere. I mean how you understand how to cast dark magic just by watching someone do it once is kind of weird but still I love that scene, and the door to your worst fear.
  20. I agree. I mean I don't critique the show, but I do point out some of the things that bother me about it, but even that one big thing that grated on me was kind of alleviated during the 4th season finale. (it was the fact that when they had a flaw it was in direct contrast to their element. It never really occurred to me because I'm an idiot that they being tested in their elements)
  21. To be honest, unless the show throws a huge curveball and gets into some really deep stuff (That I don't expect to happen at all) the show will just kind of stagnate for me. I mean what really piqued my interest of the show is it's fanbase, and while I did enjoy the show and probably would have watched it anyway, I had way more fun watching the show (even EG 1 though I still totally hate it) with my brother than I ever would have watching it alone. So even if the show stagnates for me, I'll always have fun watchign it with my Little brother despite whoever writes the stories for it. (unless these stories are horrible then well, it's will just fall out of our lives I guess) As for it's reputation ... doesn't it already have a bad rap in the first place?
  22. I'm not the biggest fan of doctor who, I like the shows writing. I LOVE the shows writing. But, the doctor (at least David Tennat and Matt Smith.) Are really kind of annoying. I mean I really don't liek how most of the episodes end in the doctor saving the day at the last minute with this knowledge he seemed to have had since the beginning of the episode. I haven't watched all of Doctor Who Classic and I haven't watched all of the current series (on the very end of season 4) But out of the Doctors I've seen and the events that happen within their episodes the First Doctor is my favorite. The grandfather things was wierd yeah. The Doctor accidentally marrying the random woman was also wierd (but somehow felt very in-character for the doctor). But that episode had one of my favorite conclusions. In that three part (2 part?) series, they go back to the time of the Aztecs and the human companions end up trying to teach the Aztecs that rain will come without sacrifice. The doctor tells them sternly that they cannot change history and two of the companions disagree and set about trying to change it, The Doctor lets this happen instead of trying to strong arm them because he's trying to teach them a lesson. I love that, just that he's letting them do what they think is right to teach them that not everything they do will come to fruition, especially in changing the perspective of a tribe of people. It speaks to me on a personal level really, but I should stop talking before I end up ranting for much longer.
  23. I really like your characters Pathfinder! I was impressed actually.

      Bright Bastion

That sounds a little condescending now that I read it again, but I really do like them.

    2. Ashen Pathfinder

      Ashen Pathfinder

LOL, nah, you're fine. I didn't see it as condescending at all. ^_^ And thank you for the compliment. :3

  24. Oh yeah, Adoptables exist don't they? Never thought about that. But Oc's can be used in fan fiction too. Really, like I said it's not mandatory but It's lots of fun.
  25. I would love to roleplay here after not having done it in so long, but everytime I gt the urge to try something really just makes me do a complete 180. But I feel like that judgment is kind of harsh on my part and that's affecting nobody's enjoyment but my own. No, having an OC isn't necessary at all. People just tend to have Ponysonas because everyone else does and they seem to have lots of fun with them even if they don't roleplay with them. And you can go to the request shops here on the forums and ask someone to draw you an OC. First you'll want to get an image of one. Everyone tends to use this (http://generalzoi.deviantart.com/art/Pony-Creator-Full-Version-254295904) as a base to send into artists for a request. (You may want to give specifics as well since not everyone's desired manestyle or exact look is present in this pony creator) That stuff is for if you want to make one. It's completely optional, but if you want to practice drawing you can use that as a base to get a feeling for what goes where and start experimenting.
