No, it's just that with @@asdfmovienerd39, getting into things, I figured this would be a good spot for him to join in on as there are no loose ends to answer from either our sides currently.
I should have expressed that though, my bad on that. :/
______________________________________________________________
The monster is gone... Ish. I mean, it's bones are still in a big pile there, and its tail was taken, but beyond that? Yeah, totally gone currently.
_______________________________________________________________
I can write something in later that can help Zen in then.
I have an NPC in the area I haven't gotten much usage of as of late that could help.
_________________________________________________________________
Oh neat, lunch have arrived.
Heh, just kidding.
Your char seems fine for joining in, and it will be interesting to see what sort of interaction one can have with deers. A first one for me that's for sure.
Gotta ask you as well though, will you want a side adventure, get popped into the main arc, or get transitioned into the main arc?
-
@@Flinp,
Sure thing, go ahead.
____________________________________________________________________
Good then. ^^ Do you need helpg etting into the major arc? Like, somepony to interact with the guides you towards it, or will you prefer to find yourself at the scene yourself?
I could imagine the dome of air might have drawn Zen if it were, since it'd mean there'd be ponies to help eventually.
As for Deadpan, just toss in a post with Briar and Phoenix when it is. They're sitting at a camp-site Phoenix set up from what i can tell, and the fire's out. Beyond that, they're just talking currently. ^^

@@cwhip9,
Zinthar didn't grimace again as one might expect when Crescent told of the zebra's stance on him.Instead, a weak laugh escaped him as he glanced towards Zecora once again.
"Why am I not surprised to hear that? Typical zebras and their ways."
Or perhaps she didn't have her ways with all and everypony as he had just said after all, as he could see the foal that she were talking with in there avert his eyes from some sort of object between them, and then leave the table they sat at with tears going down from his eyes. Why, he could even hear the colt, faintly as it were, when he spoke to Zecora.
"I-It's blank now, but I still don't... I don't know what to make of this. Something took them, even my family, but they're not taken anymore? Or is it even them? And what were that thing?"
It seemed like Cover-up was using the questions to keep himself from falling apart where he stood now after what he had seen, though the lines of tears were still present on his face, and his mind were filled with more worries and doubts than he had before entering this hut.
Regardless, whatever else there might be to find he were going to need some time now and perhaps some responses that were only words, as currently, seeing more of this past could end up shattering him.

"So, remove the big one, and the rest leaves?"
Omen looked at the timberwolves with her head tilted to one side, thinking over this.
They looked different from the ones she knew from around the Everfree Forest and such, but even if they were overall looking more fiercely, she were as unfazed by them as she were the ones she knew of. Granted, she tended to not even go near them and just watch from small gates and such, but they still weren't something she feared, though she knew a good deal of ponies did.
She never really understood why in the long run. They might have fangs and were in groups, but they didn't attack town, and everypony always seemed to get away from them, so what was the issue really? With those she knew that were, these she had an idea of why others might find problematic at least, considering how they looked and seemed more prepared for the attack, if you could say that? They were acting more as a group were a way she could say it too, but let that be what it were.
A gate swirled open next to her as she glanced at the alpha, stretching and compacting slightly as she took an eye-measure of the creature and how much space it would take if she had to put a gate beneath it, or in front of it. A simple, analytical thing that she had done soon, and the gate diminished out of existence again.
"Could work."

"Don't worry 'bout bumming me out with sad tales. Frankly more concerned that you two seem to get down from it, as that ain't a good thing to keep bringing 'round. Ponies are supposed to be all happy and smiley, don't you know?"
Chow grinned slightly, trying to lighten the mood a bit after the more heavy-hoofed conversation between the two of them. They had started to really strike him as the sort that brought themselves down to have the other pick 'em up, giving that one a confidence boost and strengthening their bonds until that one got down, rinse and repeat, but he wasn't a shrink, so what did he know, eh? Better that he just didn't mention it, and then try to move past it.
"And don't you worry your noggin' 'bout it sugar, I can get us there without you needing to get off yer flank. Just need to wait for the train to arrive, then park the cart on the last pull-along if he got it with him this time. Never sure 'bout it since this is sorta more of a tourist thing and-"
Just then, the faint sound of the whistle was heard, and the sight of the train closing in became evident.
"Talking 'bout the sun, here it is. And if my eyes are still working, it looks like it might just have the right set of wheels on it to make the last the open one. Heh, if they got a discount on tickets too I'm gonna buy a scratch card when we reach town, cause Lady Luck seems to be giving us a push in the right direction, and it'd be a might a mighty shame to not test the limits of it."

I'm gonna need a bit of info here mate, now that you say that you're here under a new context. Basically, could you give me some context?
You don't need to spoil everything, just wondering before I mess something up as I can get confused easily at times. ^^

I ask different things every time, because I keep forgetting what I asked the last time.
Sometimes I forget some things because of that unfortunately.
I like the idea though. What do you think about it, @@asdfmovienerd39, ? Would be a place for Deadpan perhaps, as this is not currently connected to the main arc.
And for the main arc, take a page back here in the OOC and read what @@Seamore Sandwich, wrote (Could use some paragraphs, but eh) and that will give you a bit of info. Beyond that... Hold on, I think I wrote something earlier I can copy and paste.

Anyway, the story, if you take some filler away, can be based down to there once, a long time ago, some kind of monster called The Forgotten One was trapped inside a gem along with others that it had 'eaten* which basically put them in a pocket dimension and erased them from memory. That's as far as any of us knows thus far of its past.
Presently, it got loose after the guardian it was on (a big spider.) was stolen, let loose, and eventually killed by some ponies that wanted to get to some trees for a lumberjack. The gem cracked, it seeped out, and eventually, after *eating* some ponies in the dream world, broke through to the physical one and attacked Ponyville. A lot of other creatures like the Anansi (Spider-people) from something called the Beast Court, a changeling hive, and a larger-than-regular-ponies fox or two from a race called Kitsune (tricksters and stuff) from somewhere called Subterenea came and helped along the ponies to fight back, and it have recently been defeated. Celestia is now in Ponyville, overseeing what help that needs to be sent to the town to rebuild the broken areas and help the locals, and some cloaked figures have stolen the tail of the defeated monster when nopony was looking. Also, the ones the forgotten one *ate* a long time ago is now free again, so a blast from the past. Literally.
There is also two beings that have been setting the events up to happen with the forgotten one for a long time now. One being the Traveller, which is a giant hippo with wings and horns that seemingly stole the spider with the gem in that the evil thing was in to begin with, and Zhu, a cloaked serpanther (body of an above-average-pony-size tiger with a snakes neck and head, along with a long, scaly tail. All cloaked of course) that is cursed with the ability to see what might happen in the futue, and have guided things so that on the day this happened, some of the ones that needed to be there to win the fight would, along with a few other things like keeping a large dome of air over a good chunk of Ponyville to trap the forgotten one, along with other ponies in the process.
_______________________________________________________________________
That's basically it I think, though others can feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Alrighty! Lemme know if my OCs are good enough!
I like them both.
Especially Deadpan as I'm the sort that makes snarky jokes too. He's in for sure though I gotta ask: what's with the unicorn horn? Wasn't addressed in the bios, only the antlers.
The psychic is neat too, and could prove to have much potential in the RP. She's in too.
As for RP involving them, would you like to be part of the major arc right now, have an adventure unconnected to it, or start off with something that leads into the current arc? You are free to chose different things for each of your OC's of course.

So it would appear that perhaps Phoenix did not like to share too much information on herself? Interesting. Certainly, it could just be because he were a stranger, and it would be understandable that not too many wanted to share their life stories with those they didn't know, but most still tended to find it okay to say some things. At least in his experience.
But, it wasn't his place to judge on this, or dig into it if she did not desire to share. She were entitled to her privacy after all, and having simple, mundane discussions that didn't involve a lot of *Once upon a time, I-* moments were fine for him as well. It still passed the time, and you never knew. Could be that it would involve something later on, though, for the time being, he wouldn't set that as a goal.
"The great outdoors is a fantastic place to visit too, and it seemed a good night for camping prior to this. Rather silent in it from the timberwolves for once, great weather and the feeling of the gentle moonlight falling down. I can see why you would want to take the chances for a small camping trip, though I suppose the timberwolves wouldn't have stopped you anyway if they were roaming. They're simplistic things, but they seem to learn danger fast enough, and a user of fire would most assuredly be something to worry about for them.
A pity in some ways that beings of nature have such an obvious weakness, unless you count certain elemental creatures, but I suppose that around here, being prepared for a brawl with what I assume is usually the top predator in these woods is a blessing."

"Yey. I bet she'll have something good for you too that fits the sea smell. Like the smell of... Fish? Sand? BBQ? Though that's more the beach, but what else would work with a salty smell... Pepper?"
She really hadn't a clue as she listed off some random things that seemed vaguely related, but it wasn't her that was good at it either. That was Succulent's speciality, who could likely help Serenade now that she were done from taking the bits Ziggy had paid with outside to her cart. Honestly, it didn't seem that much to her, but not everypony had the same idea about what was and wasn't too many bits to carry around at once, so eh. She was back now, and that was the important thing.

@@cwhip9,
Zinthar eagerly grabbed for the half-finished blood bottle with a slow paw before taking it to his mouth and gulping every last drop in it down, whilst small surges went through him by the intake of the crimson liquid.
When the bottle was done, he put it down and hesitantly slid down the table and landed on his paws. He still felt drained, but his limbs didn't ache that much anymore when he tried to move, and since the light in his middle eye had grown and filled the socket with one of the pale eyes that were seen earlier by Crescent, which were enough tor at least this eye to function properly, and he could finally have a limited look around the rather unimpressive place.
He hadn't any idea how long he had been away from Equestria. Could be a year, could be a thousand, but regardless, he had expected that when he did eventually return, he'd see homes that were more advanced that back in his days. This however, looked like a... Zebra hut...
He grimaced as his eye fell on Zecora, who stood in the other room with some kid. He were not an overly large fan of zebras as frankly, they tended to know too much for his taste, and the stories he had heard about being in debt to them weren't all that comforting. Which were something he likely were now, as this were likely her blood deposit he had drunk from, though why she had that sort of thing was anypony's guess. He hadn't a clue at least, but zebras had all sorts of things, so it might be for some kind of potion.
"Heh, I think that when you know the story, your hospitality will be put to a test Crescent. That is, if the zebra haven't already ratted me out?"
Meanwhile, Cover-up barely noticed Zecora even said anything as his eyes went over the show that he had been part of those years ago, but hadn't seen the outside of before. he had just heard stories, which were vague and nearly told him nothing.
"I see it now. The fire they said fell on town... I didn't think it was real, but I see it. It's."
He winched as the first of several balls of fire from above fell soundly on his house, leaving it instantly in ruin as more started to rain down. Each hit a building, leaving either the inhabitants trapped or forced into the street where they had to witness their town reduced to rubble. And then... Something happened.
"I-Is that... A shadow? What is it doing?"
He took a step closer to the crystal ball as he saw the black mass slither across the ground and a little by little flow under the feet of his friends and with black tendrils pull them down into... Something, or somewhere. Plenty tried to get away, but it caught up to them all, dragging them down, including - as he could now see - his family.
They were at the outskirts of town, and had likely tried to escape after visiting old farmer Prune and being forced out too. He hadn't seen, but wasn't this possible? And did it even matter? They were caught up just like the rest, and pulled down, slowly disapearing along with everypony else.
And then, as quickly as it had spread, the shadow retracted itself, and vanished from his sight into the nearby woods. Leaving only a ruined town, and deep within one structure, a severely hurt foal who would forever be scarred by this moment.
"I-It took them. It took them all..."
The tears kept flowing from his cheeks as his head sunk along with his mood. He had gotten some answers, but in the process, he had been left with only more questions, and these he didn't know if there could even be found an answer to. Much less if he could now explain how his family, that he had seen taken as well, had suddenly shown up again somewhere.
He didn't even know if this were real, of it was just a metaphor of some kind. That the shadow weren't even that, but a gang of dragons or something else that had captured everypony, and he just saw something less horrifying because his mind couldn't handle what actually happened.

Omen looked indifferent as the other group showed and the other longma - who seemed to be more of an alpha, judging by his physique - showed up along with another group of hunters that made Xin and his followers seemingly surrender on the spot, before Xin himself was slammed into a hollow tree. Literally.
She might have had some things to say about that, but this turn of event were puzzling, and as far as she were concerned, Xin had not proven that he didn't deserve what happened to him. Not unless it would suddenly turn out that he had tried to get them away before this one found them, but considering the trap, the spears, nets, and threats, the outlook didn't appear positive when it came to him currently.
This new one were granted, also followed by a lot of other longma, of which some had taken Sen and Lin to carry, but they didn't poke spears at them, or appeared to be ready to drag them along, and this one even came over and asked if they would follow. A hollow questions really since he already had 2/3 of their group bound to follow - no pun intended - but it was something at least. Though, Omen didn't count on his word about not hurting any of them as currently, her view on longma the tribe member's trustworthiness were rather low in it.
So she turned to this new one, and starred at him with her pale-grey, unblinking eyes for a few seconds before slowly nodding and projecting a response into the heads of those nearby. Something which were oddly neutrally received by their kind thus far, now that she thought about it. Perhaps they had mind-mages of some kind here?
"Keep your word, and I'll keep mine, yes?"
She weren't sure if he even knew what that were as she wandered a little closer to Sen and Lin so that she could keep them better in sight, though she'd likely be stopped from getting too close, but it didn't matter to her much. If he was curious he could ask, if he didn't, she would suppose he knew.
He couldn't take it much worse than Xin at least without taking physical actions, but then again, Xin's reaction had also seemed like it would spell out his refusal to make Sen and Lin show up safely. Otherwise, why would he start to go directly towards saying she were difficult and would get his hunters sent away? If Sen and Lin were kept safe after all, nothing would happen to anypony in the end but him, and that were a more personal thing.
But they'd see soon enough what would happen, both here and later on in this hostage situation. Hopefully not something bad though, for all of their sake.

Sorta curious about something: How did Copper manage to get up to Luther? He can't fly, so he'd have to run to the manor, get through the gate, through the front door, get through the manor somehow without being noticed, asI can imagine Vylia wouldn't be too pleased with his intrusion, and then got all the the way to Luther's office where he'd barge in without knocking, yes?
...Well, at least Blitz isn't the only one who's going to get lynched then if that were how you got in.

The cloaked figured might have made Zhu interested in what they did there too, but he had barely even noticed that there were others there as soon as Celestia had shown up, much less them
Whilst the glory of the sun-princess filled many of the local ponies - both those here already and those on their way from various hiding spaces - with hope and awe after this horrendous attack, for Zhu it was not as simple as that.
He felt the light if her being, heard the powerful, though caring tone in her voice, and he felt warmth fluster within him. Yet at the same time, her voice also brought him memories of the last time he had heard it, and about the choice he had made all those years ago when he left her behind.
The memories of the first made him take a step towards her without thinking, yet the others made him stop in his tracks and instead turn away, without even looking at her.
He wanted to. By the ancients how he longed to stand forth and remove his hoof to show himself to the princess that haunted his dreams, but he couldn't. Not yet.
She needed to tend to this town, and he had to get the mare of demons away from this, and towards the Creator that beckoned him near. Much as he longed to let this be over, and face the judgement for his actions, he had to leave, and thus he slipped into the shadow between some buildings with the barrel in tow, and slipped away from town on hasty winds.
It was not as if the princess had ever seen him robed as it were, far as he knew, so she shouldn't be able to recognize anything even if she managed to get a short glance. Back when he knew her, he had only, at times, had his eyes bound, but nothing like this.He would be at the Creator eventually with the barrel floating next to him. Roughly the same time as Null returned from her trip towards the hospital, where the other pony she went there with had stayed behind to help get more things prepared for the ill and hurt. She did come back with a half dozen doctors though that had been ready, though more should hopefully soon follow.
"Alright, the doc's are on the way to handle things then. Now we ju- Holy macaroni, is that Princess Celestia?"
Her jaw seemed to drop as she looked at the tall, elegant princess with her multicolored, flowing mane and tail some way from her. A look that her sister, Void, shared as they, for the first time in their life, actually saw one of the Canterlot royals. They had seen some posters around, so they knew what she looked like, but seeing her on a flat piece of paper and seeing the princess of the sun in person was two very different things, and frankly, the reality had them both stumped and gawking like they had seen an alien.

"Thank you miss Phoenix. Though truth be told, I must admit that I am rather nervous about this.I have lived my life in complete darkness, and though I have longed for sight since I could think, finally standing at the doorway, ready to open up and seeing the world for the first time, is a rather... Daunting experience."
He would lie if he said he wasn't more excited than he had been in years, but at the same time, it was a step that were going to change his life a lot, and stepping out of ones safe zone were not the easiest thing in most being's lives. He were no different, and had several times over the last six days thought about the things that might go wrong from this, how he would react if it turned out it hadn't worked and so forth. Yet, for all the worries and concerns, in the end, he craved the chance to see more than his worries could get close to, so he wouldn't stop himself, even if his heart were bound to skip some extra beats when the moment arrived.
"But I feel that perhaps I divert too much of our conversation over on me right now, and leave you out. I do not wish to silence your voice if you have something of your own that you wish to add, though if you don't feel like sharing, it is of course not something I will demand. I understand that some ponies prefer to keep their cards close, so to speak."

"Yeah, if I can cast a vote against being brainwashed that'd be swell."
Chow chuckled a little, but he did get a nervous look along with it as the talking the two gals were having started to sound like it wasn't a joke. Usually he'd think it just a funny tone, but these two had a sort of vibe over them that made him think that they could, and if it were, would do it.He'd much rather follow what went on as the circle on the ground was made, with a little stab towards what sort he'd be able to understand tossed into it, and he eventually saw how their work came to fruition when they rightly so transmuted something else into gold. Something which certainly made him curious and his eyes go wide.
"Well I'll be a diamond dog's uncle, it actually worked. How'd y-"
His words stopped as he got focused back on Astral, and saw that she was both the wrong color and kinda floaty in it. That and tired, but he supposed that wasn't a tough one to crack why either. As she said, there had still been the situation back when he first ran into her, and then came along this little magic display and her attempt at trying to make him jealous strength wise when she broke the branch. That last one had been pretty cute really, but it'd take more than that to impress him, and a good chunk more to surpass. Sure, he was no superpony, but him holding back so he had some muscle to use when it counted didn't mean he were a wimp, and something told him that he had to show the lass one of these days.Still, for another time. Right now, they had to get down to the tracks as the others packed their stuff together and he hooked himself up to the wagon again.
"Right, up in the wagon with both of you, and I ain't taking no for an answer. You're tired Astral, and since we can see the tracks a bit on there, I think it's about time we can speed up a bit. And I ain't risking leaving you behind or Celestia forbid, accidentally hit you with the wheels Misty. So up you go too. Besides, I gotta show Captain Green over there something before she starts to think I only got a lil' colt's worth of muscle."
He wouldn't budge until the two were there, and beyond the joke, looked sorta sternly at them.
When they eventually were settled in, he then took a deep breath, looked at the sorta straight road down towards the tracks, and then followed it further on for a while until where he were sure the 'station* were. Somewhere along there at least he was sure before exhaling, and then go into a gallop with a big grin plastered over his face as they'd get a move on now and towards the tracks, where he'd eventually slow down and into a slow walk again as they reached a better spot.
"Hah, spot on. Welcome to the station in the middle of absolutely nowhere."
He weren't panting for air, though he could feel his lungs burn some after this. He weren't gonna show it though, not now. Even though he really wanted to just let it out and relax his muscles more than they were right now, any sort of sign that this had been a bother would result in the taunting never ending, and he weren't gonna have it that easy. They had to work for it more if they wanted to paint him as a weak-leg.
As for where they were now, it was pretty unimpressive. There was the tracks, there was a ramp near it for when you had to get on, and then there were a bench that looked solid enough, but had seen better days. Beyond that, there weren't really anything._________________________________________________________________________

Vivid were close to, per instinct, swat the creature that she were speaking with away when he had gotten close to her at a speed she had not seen many beings able to do before, and doubly so when he had started to swirl around her, but she had to gnash her teeth and hold this back. She had a long rest ahead of her where she'd regain some small bits of energy and could begin on the task of resurrecting herself, and fighting her only real company away wasn't going to make her rest feel any shorter. Rather the opposite she'd say.

"Perhaps it is, but perhap-"
Her words were interrupted when a strange, tingling sensation went through her and a surge flowed along with it. Not one of pain, or of power, but more like some kind of... Life?. It was a familiar energy that rummaged through her see-through being and slowly began to give her substance again, and she could pinpoint its purpose, though where had it come from? Usually others couldn't do this. At least not when they weren't something akin to her, and that held consequences. This here didn't. Or at least, not the sort she knew of.
"Strange, it seems like somepony is trying to resurrect me. How peculiar.
Anyway, as I were saying, perhaps sentience is a terrifying thing, but that is one of several emotions that comes along with the package. You might feel sad, afraid, or angry, but in sentience is also happiness, love and excitement, just to mention a few from the wide spectrum of life. It might be terrifying in some ways, but at the same time, the good tends to outweigh the bad. Seemed like somepony had seen after all, as a hunter had stomped down on her tongue when she moved closer. She could still do what she came here for though, she just had to pull a little harder in Lin and hope that this would work. Something which it appeared as if it might not, as the ropes in Lin got claws grasping tightly in them to stop her from pulling in her all of a sudden. Still, she could just open a gate beneath them and take them al down at once perhaps...
She were pondering this for a second when Xin started to talk, though honestly she didn't care much for what he had to say anymore. He had lied to Sen and Lin, and had gotten them trapped now. He was a traitor, and if it wasn't because he stood where her friends were tied up, she would have completely ignored him and not given him the time of day. Yet, she were forced to listen to him as he went on now, at which point she tilted her head to the side and looked at him much like you would a lava lamp for a few seconds.
"...You were wrong Lin. They are not better than I thought."
She let go with her tongue of Lin, and pulled back which would either make the hunter remove his claw, or get his legs pulled away under him. Afterwards, she'd go slowly towards Xin, and if anypony tried to toss a rope at her as she did this, she'd open a gate and let it pass in there instead, not wanting to be stopped before she stood a little from Xin, now with her head held correctly again and looking at him with her big, pale, unblinking eyes.
"Every time you, or the others, hurt them, I will send away a longma. Not you though. Not yet."
With that, she stopped looking at Xin and ceased trying to protect herself anymore and would either willingly follow, or be bound up, depending on what the longma would want end up doing.
She would remain true to er words if any of them tried something during their travel. If somepony harmed her friends in any sort of way, she'd send a random one down a pit-gate, and she wouldn't respond to why she did it, and wouldn't get them back. She would just keep watch, fixated on Sen and Lin, and waiting for the next time somepony got frisky.
It were unlikely that the entirety of the trip to the village, or when they reached the village itself, was going to end without her having to prove her words, but they'd see. She wouldn't do anything unprovoked at this point in time at least.

This wasn't how she had expected this to go, that was for sure. She had expected Dax to be all flustered and shocked since it had been so long since the last time they met, plus he never told her how to find the mine.
Instead he had looked a little surprised, then sad, and then A Lot sadder as he started to cry over somepony leaving. Perhaps the funny-dressed one from earlier that went *poof* and vanished? Could be, but it was kinda hard to focus on with Dax nearly crushing her noticeably smaller self into the ground while covering her in tears.
"That's not nice of him. Why would anypony not say goodbye to you? You're fun... And kinda heavy..."
The last part where said lower and sounded a bit strained as Blitz tried to stand her ground with the robust earth pony leaning on her shoulder. Thankfully he hadn't put all his weight into it or she'd have fallen down instantly, but still. He wasn't a light weight.
______________________________________________________________________There had been many things that Ziggy had felt in her time here at the quarry. Sadness when somepony got hurt, relief when they turned out fine, sorta down a few times, happy, curious and so on.
She had even felt afraid now and again, when others had been severely injured or what sounded like a horrible accident had occurred in the mine, that made her think that perhaps that might lead to injuries too severe for her to either mend or staunch long enough to get them to a hospital.
Yet, at the end of the day, she had always still been able to find a smile on her muzzle or hold her chin high, thinking that everything was going to be okay.
Now though, faced with the glittery Luther Blackwater, she felt for the first time in years that she couldn't find any hope. Every time she tried, it all seemed to drown in the orbs of hatred that sat in his sockets, whilst the vein on his head pulsated like it was trying to break free.
"I-I don't know sir, I swear. I just saw something had gone off from the kitchen, not who, or what, did this.
Now please, M-Mr. Blackwater, the vein... The way it's throbbing like that... It's not good. You need to try and calm or you could end up getting a brain aneurysm, or a heart attack."
Her fear tried to give way to worry and panic over her first encounter with the aggressive, pulsating vein on her boss' head, but there was just so much anger - so much Wrath - that it was hard to let go of her fears, even if she started to worry for his wellbeing as much as her own right now.
She was so fixated on this that she didn't even notice when somepony else showed up, including when he started to talk.-

As I wrote, I will respond again within a few days. I'm just visiting family, not going off to live in a cave for a year.
And more characters are almost always welcome. ^^

That would be @@Moonlit, who is currently in another section of the RP so to speak with Hazard, Seamore and myself. That being in Ponyville, but not in the storyline that had it attacked. At least not currently from what I know.

The face fits perfectly. Especially when she begins to take over the world! Muahahaha!!!
*coff* not that I condone that in any sort of way... Not at all. Nope. Not a chance. (Dibs on being an evil henchman.)
Anyway, gonna be visiting family for the weekend, so not gonna be able to post before Sunday or Monday, depending on when I get home. :/ Hope things will stand until then, and that Luther doesn't track down Blitz, toss her in a well and close it shut. Gonna have to think on how to get her alive out of here at this point.

@everypony
Visiting family for the weekend, which includes some birthdays, so I won't be able to write again until Sunday or Monday, depending on how late I get home Sunday.
I do hope that everypony here will have an excellent weekend until then.
Until next time.

"...Okay. I yield."
Omen hadn't been as inactive as he had been when Sen had been taken. As Lin had gone forward, she had tried to pull her friend back by extending her tongue and wrapping it around her leg, which unfortunately had done little to nothing, as she hadn't the time to try and pull her back before the longma had assaulted her, though her tongue did currently lie down on the ground in a line, hard to distinguish from just a shadow unless you really focused. Which were something that they didn't entirely, as their focus were on Lin, an as it turned out, had also been on pulling Sen upwards into the tree-crowns when she hadn't watched. Something which was a failure she had to stand judgement for later, when this were all over, as she should have kept her focus on him too to stop this.
However, she could still do one thing.
The gates around the longma started to close as she stepped forward, seemingly having given up, before one opened in a downwards angel basically just below and behind Lin, and grew wide enough to accomedate her form, which shouldn't have been something they would be prepared for. Omen were though, as she at the same time, stopped walking forward, and instead yanked back whilst her tongue fastened and pulled back violently in Lin. It would not be something that would have been able to compete with the ropes in the long run, but Lin were bound, not dragged along as it were right now, so it would do the trick to get her the few inches back she needed to fall down into the gate, which closed directly behind her, which were an idea that Omen got from seeing the pit-trap before.
If the longma were quick, they might be able to get some of their ropes back if they pulled her themselves, and perhaps even get Lin to bash up against the other side of the gate, but they wouldn't be able to get her back.in time before the gate were closed and Lin were sent to the shadowy realm from where Omen originated, preferably alone. Depended on if some of the longma were clingy and had been dragged along, like Xin, but if that were the case, whoever would be taken away would find themselves on a home-turf that did not yield to them, and a mother who did not take kindly to others attempting to harm her children.
"But she won't."
This would ruin the chance of her using said tongue again another time, as they would know of it now and likely put a muzzle on her or something. She didn't breathe and didn't need her mouth to speak, so it wouldn't harm her, just like these beings wouldn't be able to either. They might try, and for example attempt to knock her out, but master had made her tough so it wouldn't get them far, though it'd hurt if they went far enough.
She wasn't going to try more though. Not yet. More gates would likely be expected by them on the road there, and she didn't want to chance opening one for Sen now that they'd know better. Later, she would get him away, but for now, she laid down, rolled her tongue back into her head, and awaited them likely tying her up and dragging her along too. She had done what she could.
That is, unless Lin struggled against Omen's attempt to getting her free, nullifying the action enough for the Longma to drag her away from the gate and securing her further, but why would she claw her way towards her captors? Even if Sen were here, there would only be harm that could come from staying, and surely she'd be able to see that the best she could do was to be free from this?
Then again, the siblings were hard to decipher, and it might just be that she did this regardless to stay around for whatever reason. Likely to try and help Sen and potentially Omen. Though if that were the case, it wasn't just Omen that had to stand judge for her actions later. Lin's judgement might just be regrettably faster than that, and involve less confrontation of words and more physical harm from her former people.

"Ah yes, that. Well you see, amongst the evergrown, there are certain variations of what you can be, Much like with ponies and your sections of unicorn, earth pony, pegasi and zebra, depending on if you count zebras as being part of the regular, equine cycle, but that's not that important currently.
In our case, one can sometimes be grown to be an abnormality instead of one of the regular races. Us who are like this are called snaproots, and though we are highly varied in shape and size, we can always be recognized by our sharp teeth, our need for protein, and of course, how we are grown without eyes.
And before I continue, I must clarify that whilst I do eat meat, my feasts are of insects and fish, with the rare bird if I'm desperate. I would never even consider eating a higher sentient being, such as a pony."
It were something he had gotten used to saying when it came to how he ate meant sooner or later, so he might as well get it out of the way now, before he were considered some kind of cannibal, or monster, depending on how you looked on things.
"In any case, in my time since my exile, I have wandered the world thin in search of ways to do something about the final thing that defines me and my fellow lowborn, and finally, after over a decade of wandering, I found my answer here in Equestria, via a mare called Vivid Loss. She made me a deal, and a dozen or so days ago fulfilled her part when she outfitted me with a pair of eyes of my own.
Let us just say that going from having only eyelids, and otherwise having a head like a wooden doll behind them, to having eyes requires some degree of... Space managing and outfitting that I hadn't expected."
A grimace went over his face as he recalled the pain from that part of his *operation* which had been something that he would likely never forget. Vivid had apologized to him as this went on, yes, but when you started to rethink whatever it was really worth it after looking for a way for so long, things were too bad for an apology to last. At least whilst it had been in progress.
"Regardless, she put these bandages on my head and said to leave them for seven days, and not attempt to take them away or something bad might happen. So I have been wandering around and waited for... Well, whenever the moon's glare falls upon me next.
Heh, oh dear, listen to me ramble on again. I do apologize for this, but it is hard to understand the why without knowing more of what came before it in my opinion. I hope I am not boring you with this, miss Phoenix?"
-
Behind her shades, Krystal would be able to see big, gleeful eyes starring back at him as he reformed, shook goo around him, and reformed again. And how would it be any wonder? To her, he looked fascinating and frankly rather cool. She had never even heard of a goo pony before, but here were one now all of a sudden, and she couldn't imagine any picture she could potentially have made of him in her head could have come close to the reality.
She took a step further and raised her hoof, about to poke at him to see how he'd feel to touch, when he mentioned the red cloud behind her and she put her hoof down instead, looking with a glimmer in her eyes at Krystal.
"Oh oh, the cloud, right! Wanna see what I did to it?"
Jelly didn't wait for an answer before she turned around to the cloud again and went over, next to it. At which point she poked at it with a hoof, which blubbered a little in place from it, but stayed in place and didn't burst.
"Daddy says it's my special talent. I can find some clouds that are juuuuust right, and then I can bite them, and they start to turn into delicious jelly! I think this strawberry, but I haven't checked yet. Wanna find out? I can pop the top of it no problem if it is and we can check. Usually it's yummy."
She took her hoof to her belt and pulled forth a small, fold-able knife that she had earned at scouts a year ago or so. The blade was small and couldn't do much in attacks, but it wasn't meant to either. It was supposed to help you when you were out and about and needed it for survival. Or in her case, to cut a hole in the top of the cloud, though she'd wait until Krystal said something first.

"Phoenix you say? A noble name, with a rich history to its origins. I do hope though that you do not share the tendency of it's originator and burst into flames."
Briar let out a small chuckle before going on speaking with the mare. The voice had betrayed what gender she were quite effectively, so he at least knew this about her, though what else he could glance from the small bit of information he had currently were not all that comforting. Ponies tended to have names that associated with their skills quite well, and if this were one named after the olden bird of legend, then it might spell a problem for little old, flammable him.
"In all seriousness though, if you do have such capabilities, would you be so kind as to not set me on fire? I am regrettably flammable you see, and I would like to think of many a sunset more where I can enjoy the slow warmth of the sun wash over me rather than the hungry maws of fire.
As to what I am, I am an Evergrown. It may carry little meaning for you, but my kind tend to isolate themselves more often than not, so I am not surprised you might not have heard of us. What we are can be a long and troublesome debate, though to simplify it somewhat, you can consider us a race of sentient plant creatures, yet not in the same way as for example your Titimberwolves. We are more biologically akin to that of ponies than that, even if our buildings bricks - so to speak - are made from the bounty of the great trees."
Briar sat down and rested where he had stood since Phoenix first spoke, not wanting to get closer to her. Not because of the fire entirely, but also because it were terribly rude to invade her personal space like that, and as it seemed like she were at least somewhat cautious about him. A wise choice really.
It was not that he wished her any harm, but beyond his words, what would she really have as assurances that this were the truth? He were an unknown entity of strange origins, and a clear meat eater at that, so he did not judge her for not thinking to trust him outright. Frankly, in her place, he wouldn't have either.

@@P-Jay,
The look on Vivid's demeanor soured as the name of Tartarus were mentioned.
"I am not bound in your Tartarus, and I don't appreciate being told I belong amongst those prisoners. I might a demonicly infused soul to the point where there is little that separates me from my former masters anymore, but I pride myself in knowing that I'm better than them and their constant, violent schemes. I don't want to see Equestria, my home of several millennia, burn anymore than you, or the princess of dreams would."
There were things that Vivid had done in her time that were horrendous, and yes, though her masters had controlled most of her actions, knowing how easily it had come to her to do such things even then made her know well that the depravity had seeped deep into her being too. Yet through it all, she would never willingly hurt the equine world, or the beings within it, and as such resented being called out as some kind of monster that needed to be locked up, even if it wasn't specifically said that she should be by this entity.
She let out a sigh and relaxed herself again, trying to get this away from her mind. It wouldn't lead anywhere to let this fester in her mind, and especially not witht he unfortunate day she had had thus far. It would simply fuel the fire.
"I mean not to go up into hooves over this, and I know well what I look like these days, compared to what it was like so very long ago "
A glance were given to a nearby window, where her reflection showed the more non-descript, normal, somewhat happy mare that once were. Nothing special or evil looking there in the slightest.
"- but it does not mean that I am as horrible as I look. I am simply marked by a choice I should have never made. A horrible, stupid choice by a delusional and scared old mare...
I don't expect you to trust or believe me, and in here, I cannot show the seal I carry from the royals I serve to prove anything, but if it helps, I will direct my questions away from the princess at least. So let me try this instead: You say you were made in a dream? So I take it you're not one of the Everfree spirits that tends to linger here in this case, but a genuine dream apparition? How does that even work?"
_________________________________________________________________________________________
Omen didn't have the time to react as Sen got wrapped in the net that then went high, away from the ground he had stood on before that now seemed as treacherous as Xin had turned out to be.
There were several questions that had to be asked and answered now, such as why they were trying to capture Sen and Lin, what they meant to do with her, if this was the elders work alone, how Xin could make himself do this, etc. Yet, she found that in the current situations there were really only one thing that needed to be said.
"Stay away from them."
Mother had been adamant in making sure that none of their kin were raised knowing how to fight, as she knew what their powers could do in case they began to go a route of aggression, so Omen hadn't the faintest clue on how she would attack these longma that now reached closer to them. What she did know however, were how to use what she had to defend others, which usually been something only reserved for her master, but were something she would do for her friends too without many questions. Or in this case, none.
Gates started opening here and there over at the approaching guards around them, not cutting them all of yet, but she could open several more of these with little more than a thought if it were, and absorb spears or whatever else they would think of flinging towards them, up to and including themselves. And up at Sen, she too opened a few on each side of him, not thinking the ones who had betrayed him would be above trying to harm him as he were essentialy leverage. Though unfortunately, she couldn't get him out on her own. She had nothing sharp with her, and needed to hold her focus on the longma for now anyway, so that were something that she had to leave to another. Specifically, Lin.
"Could you get him free, if I bring you to him?"
She considered openeing a gate beneath Xin right now, and let him fall into her home, cut off from here for a time, but it wasn't important to her right now, and she wasn't sure how the impact of this treachery would affect them either. Perhaps Sen had sort of expected it, or it didn't mean as much to them, so sending Xin away would be too much, but they'd see she supposed. For now, she could keep her focus on protecting her friends and then hear them out about this later, when they were gone from here. At least if they got Sen down she expected they would leave, since even she could see that there wasn't anything good in sight from the longma siblings here.

Cheeky with the 666 counter.
I like it. ^^
Anyway, edited my post to make it reflect yours better. I hope it will do this time around?

So nobody's surprised by all the ponies (and other species) from olden times appearing out of thin air? I hinted at this earlier during the meeting at Twilight's castle ("and what of The Returned?").
I didn't really have the option to do much in the way of reacting to that unfortunately, mate. :/ I already had it written from previous RP that Last had to get emergency help, so she had to be taken out of comission,
Vivid is dead, and with the RP I have going with one of our new friends here, I figured that it was better to put a timer on how long it'd take for her to come back so that they had some time.
Zhu have plans for another time that requires a few things handled, such as Vivid and Briar, and he have been around the whole thing from the start, so it wouldn't make sense to me if he were utterly surprised over things now.
Leaves me with Null and Void, who I did try to have interact with the others, but didn't seem to get far.
Unlesd you mean like, Actual ponies from olden times, and not the ones already there and the few that had recently been *eaten* in which case I honestly didn't notice. Remember someone took some of the bones, but nothing beyond that. :/
I'll have a reread after work tomorrow, and likely edit something in to whatever is going on more. Likely NPC's, but should be easy to get fixed.

"Ah, so I do have some company. Splendid."
Briar began to calmly walk towards where he had heard the branch snap just before, smiling, and trying his best to seem friendly to whomever it may be that had accidentally revealed their presence.
"Whomever you are, you have my sincerest apologies for stumbling across you as I have done here. I am dealing with some damages that have unfortunately left my sense of direction dreadfully lacking for the time being, though I hope that you can forgive this minor misstep.
But where are my manners? My name is Briar Trapjaw my good sir or madam, and it is an utmost pleasure to make your acquaintance."
With that, Briar stopped up, and in a very respectful and elegant manner rose his right hoof to his chest before making a bow towards Phoenix. Much as he might look like a threat, Briar was a rather civilized being that preferred to meet others on good terms, which could at times be hard considering his predatorial sides, yet he still tried at the very least.
Hopefully, Phoenix would give him a bit of rope to hang on to, so to speak, instead of going on the offense or run away, but it were hard to tell which one would end up being the case before it happened. With some luck, it would be somewhat peacefully at least. He would much prefer not having to defend himself against a stranger, and especially when he actually did need a bit of help as it were.

@@Quinch,
"He is of the land, and like the blossoming oak, time will correct his broken strands. You needn't worry for him."
Zhu had wandered up behind Penny on his way towards Briar, that at this point had stopped screaming some time ago, but still clutched the scorched end of his demolished vine, whimpering ever so slightly.
"Leave his pain in my care, and instead give the medic you call for to the mare who aims for my neck."
He knew she were coming before she had gotten anywhere near close enough to swing her sword at him, and therefor were prepared when it were to simply turn, dodge her unfocused attack, and hammer his paw into her forehead. Doing this, along with a low mumble of words, the mark he had placed on her disappeared, and Last fell down like a puppet whose strings had been severed.
She did not look good currently, as she were starting to bleed from several places, though the main area were the wound across her stomach that were almost bursting open by now. The stitches still held somewhat, but the strings were strained and some of them looking as if they were ready to snap. A problematic situation that he had brought her into, but what was done was done, and all that were left now where damage control.
"We will meet again young one, but for now, you have a life in your hooves"
With that, a wind blew past him and around Briar for a spell that took the air around him away, and made the snaproot fall unconscious. Zhu had a need for him later moe than likely, but it wasn't time, and he had other things to attend to than having him ask questions or whimper on about his vine. It were a painful injury, certainly, but for his kind it wasn't something that couldn't be fixed, which were something to start on when he would eventually wake up again. For now, Zhu simply blew him over to the side of the road and took the cut of piece of vine, and slung it over his own shoulder before turning and heading towards the barrel containing what was left of Vivid.
The vine contained some things that he could draw usage of in the longer run likely, though with the fogs ahead first clearing now, he wouldn't know for what yet. That would require time, to sort through the futures that could now suddenly be viewed. Depending on if he would have the time.
He let out a sigh as he opened the top of the barrel, ignoring everything around him that were not headed towards his being to cause harm, and thought on what might come out of this.
His presence here were undeniable. Even if he were cloaked, and yet again had the hood cover his face and obscure his vision of those not in his immediate area, his face had been seen, and his involvement were clear. In what aspect was unlikely to be clear by most, if not all present, but at the bare minimum he had been shown to be part of this fight. An event that would spread around Equestria, and ultimately, to the ears of Celestia.
There had to be a time when he had to let himself be known one way or another, and he knew that, yet it still didn't make it easier to try and think on the ways it could go. How did he even approach her after all of this time? With shame? A smile? Or perhaps one of several dozens of other options? He hadn't a clue yet, nor how she would react to know that he had been here, but as his paw reached inside his robe and pulled out a gem in a old necklace, he could feel doubts about it ending well.
Not the crystal though, he knew how to handle this. A piece of corrupted energy harvested centuries ago, charged with life and power of a being that had been caught in stasis and prepared for a long time to the day when it could be used to reignite the spark of life. This piece of Vivid that he had taken when he first fell upon her all those years ago, this he trusted, because he had seen how it would work if the day would come that she would fall. It made him sure of what to do, as compared to the situation with Celestia, but perhaps he would know what to do when he were once again face to face with the princess.
Dark words crossed his scaly lips and the crystal started to ooze the deep purple it were made of, which meant that it were time to put it in the barrel and close the top again. It would need time to work, but eventually this energy should stitch her back together, and leave her with enough power to be able to reunite with her body, though she'd feel rather weak. An hour or two at worst should be able to do it, though perhaps he should think of another location for it. It were not a safe here for her currently.
He raised his head some though and let his eyes wander over the beings that had suddenly gotten in their midst after the Forgotten One had fallen. Victims of his more than likely, but not from this time by the looks of things. And, as he selected a few of them at random and saw what potentially laid before them, he couldn't help but think that perhaps they would fare well so far away from where they had been. The potential were there, certainly, but there'd be after effects of them trying to acclimate that had to be handled carefully to end with a full integration, and then there was this little one... A Kitsune, though if small by stature or by age he couldn't tell from the brief glance he gave the creature. He could just see what could lay ahead for this one and internally grimace a little at the images. It would seem that he had found one of the next ones he had to steer in the right direction past the fog that had mostly limited him to this day.
Meanwhile, Ashta and Ko had each their approach to handling things after the monster had fallen to ash.
Ko assisted Mistweaver and Carl in helping Sylar, and who else he could that he could nearby that wasn't a pony. They had their own helpers, whereas they, and those from Subterenea, were there on their own. Also, considering the diplomatic ties, it were for the better that they of the Beast Court wdid not seem unwilling to help if the situation required it.
If none of them needed help, he'd try his claws at pulling out some ponies from the nearby buildings intot he street where the locals could handle them instead. Whatever it took to get him to find himself less useless. Sure, he had been part of the killing blow to this horrendous old figure, but there were still things to handle here and sitting idly by in that situation wasn't an option in his mind.
As for Ashta, he had gotten seated inside the house had had been smashed into by the now-gone ancient one. He felt like a truck had fallen on him, but he were alive, and by some miracle didn't appear to have broken anything, so that was good at least. Better than having to explain his actions to Sylar at least.
The memories had come back to him about their direct superior now that he were no longer amongst the forgotten, and crossing over his preferences to how a job were done contra how Ashta had done it, were likely going to get him some degree of reprimand or something later on. It could be worse though, at least he hadn't killed Carl and Mistweaver earlier as he had threatened if the priestess had been dead. That one would have come around and bit his egg sack.
At the same time, quite the earful were heard some way away from the wandering Zhu, the forgotten people, or the outsiders that had arrived and helped in the fight against the defeated monstrosity, as Meeko started to bark towards the large bones. Even he wasn't going to actually go over and touch them, still afraid of what had been there before, but it helped a little with his confidence to bark with the weak puppy-voice towards it for a little before turning around and run straight towards Ginger, aiming to hide at her hooves.
The monster might be gone after all, but there were suddenly gathering ponies that had been hiding, or had gotten trapped before they had the chance to run away - and a few who had come back to town - and he didn't know enough good about ponies to feel safe around them on his own. He wanted to wander along the hooves of somepony like them that he did trust, and then just look at the others instead from there. Ponies like for example the weird pair that suddenly emerged from a building, carrying a pony each that had seemingly passed out and put them down on the street.
The two of them smelled weird, and looked strange too. They were both a deep, onyx color with a swirling dark hole as a cutie mark, just with one swirling with the clock and the other against it. Both too had the same dark, somewhat wavy mains and tails in a silvery scheme and silvery eyes, but the differences started to really show there as one of them were a little-above-average size earth pony whose one eye seemed a bit reflective and glassy from here, and had a prosthetic hind leg of intricate parts of dark wood. Whilst the other one were a smaller than normal pegasi, about half the size of the other, and were lacking a wing.
A strange smell came from the saddlebags that the larger of them had with her, as well as the spear that she carried and the blow-darts and blowgun the smaller one had, but Meeko didn't know it. It just seemed wrong to him somehow when the weak smell wafted near him briefly.
"They seem fine, just got knocked out from what we can tell."
The smaller one of the two glanced to the side after helping down the ponies they had gotten out. It had looked close in the fight to them not even getting out themselves for a bit near the end there, when they had almost been scooped up, but the actual attackers and the airship looming over them had taken the attention and strength away from the monster before it had gotten hold of them, and had given them enough time to hide in one of the half-ruined buildings. Which were also where they had found these two.
For the time being though, jumped on adrenaline and suddenly finding herself faced with a group of mixed creatures that looked like they were in some sort of theater play, she didn't think so much on the past as the present and started to reach back towards the blowgun set that she had stashed into the large saddlebag that her sister carried, though the later moved away when she tried to.
"Wha-"
"Please, no m-more fighting. The monster is gone, and these haven't done anything. They're just here, and t-they got wounded. Just like us."
Null let out a sigh and pulled back again, facing towards the mixed bag of beings that had seemingly popped out from nowhere, and tried to let the feelings of wanting to hurt somepony flow out of her system. She didn't overly trust these ones right now though, but Void was right, they had other things to do right now than her wanting to know where in the name of Tartarus these had even come from! It'd come though, mark her words, she would get answers sooner or later.
"...Fine, but I'm not staying here. Anypony going with me to get the doctors down here or something?"
She turned away from the and looked around at the few locals that were currently here, and saw a pegasi lift his hoof a little away from her. Like most others of the onlookers, the combination of the bones and the troupe of forgotten beings - and what race some of them were - had them stumped, and unsure what to do. Some even actively made sure not to go close to them or start to gossip like when Zecora had first come to town, whilst others, like this one, had just stood dumbfounded until the need for volunteers to handle things now came up.
"Fine, then we're going. Now."
She began to head towards the hospital whilst the other pegasi took to the skies and started flying there - oh how she missed being able to fly like that - but stopped briefly to look back on her sister with worry in her eyes, though she didn't say anything. She didn't need to either, Void knew what she would have asked her to do anyway, which were one of the reasons she did not start packing her naginata away right now. She needed it in case something happened, though hopefully it wouldn't. There had been enough fighting already.

@@P-Jay,
Vivid's stance relaxed a good deal after the entity had said that he wasn't here to break things. and if he referenced Luna she'd be tempted to think that they had met, and the princess of the night wasn't likely to let a nightmare sower just wander off. There were still some concerns of course, but she could be a little more at ease she supposed.
"Good to hear that we are on the same page. Usually I try to refrain from starting with hostility like this, but it have really not been a good day, and seeing you made me think the worst. You know how bad things tends to come one after another, yes?"
With a thought, Vivid summoned a bench to the side of the town road they were on and sat down upon that. It was of course not something she could do in the waking world, but this was a dream, and more specifically, Her dream, so she could form things if she were aware of it. Something which she would be disappointed about not being if it were, considering most of her dreams tended to be the same, and having nearly four millennia worth of time to analyze it would have left her with ample opportunity to learn a few things about her surroundings.
"As for the stock market, it is not my field. My focus on money have always simply been to have enough for the days on the road, and even that have not been much of a concern lately. Being in the employ of a princess have handled that well enough, though not the one you speak of.
I am curious about that though. Princess Luna. I have only met her in here twice, and in reality once, and all of those times she have either been polite and a little bit shy, or questioning and concerned what to make of my dreams. Yet, it sounds as if you have met a side of her that I have not? A darker, more unpleasant side perhaps? Something must have made you want to steer clear of her bad side at least.
Indulge an old mare if you would please? And if not that, perhaps on how hard it were for you to gain access to this dream? I am curious as to how different it must be from both the inside and outside considering that I'm currently dead. More interesting topics than finances I would think at least."
A sly smile went over her face, and the long, spiked tail wrapped closer to her on the bench as she got seated better. She really should have gone with a couch here on second thought, but she knew herself enough to know that she'd have a trouble getting up from it again if it were, and she still didn't know exactly how relaxed she could be right now. Perhaps later, when she knew this one a little better, but they'd see.

"A hole under a blanket of leaves. Clever."
There wasn't an ounce of sarcasm in Omen's voice when she said this. To her, the thought about putting leaves over a hole like this wasn't blatantly obvious, but sneaky and likely effective. Sure, it might not work on those like her and Lin that could get out of there through other means, but they were not exactly what would normally wander around here - at least she found the odds pretty low - and if the hole was small enough in width even pegasi could likely get trapped down there until somepony came around to get them out.
She went over and looked down into the pit to see if there wasn't anything of interest down there, but the shadows still ran long here and there, and in this place were one of those. She had no idea what were down there except for darkness, and not the nuanced kind that she were used to, so after a few seconds she returned to the others instead as they moved on, looking for the next clue of where they were going.
It wasn't all that they found when it were though, as a sound made it somewhat evident that somepony, or something, was ahead. Perhaps it was one of the longma? Could also be some of this *game* that Xin spoke about earlier, but if that were interesting depended on what roamed these woods. Since she were somewhat sure that she hadn't been here before, Omen couldn't tell for sure, though now that she thought about it, it did seem odd that they hadn't run into any yet. Not even when they had a camp set up.
Even when Sen had slept in a somewhat isolated place the first night she had met him, a few creatures like a curious squirrel or such would come closer, yet there hadn't been anything she had heard as the night had gone by, or int he time since everypony woke up.
It was peculiar, but who knew, perhaps the animals were just hunted enough to make them stay away from the smell of longma? They'd see perhaps, though for now she were more curious as to the originator of the noise up ahead.

"Got lost again. one should think I would know better."
The voice was low, but as the being wandered closer the words became clearer, ending just before its originator wandered out between two bushes and stopped up.
He looked like a regular pony from a bit of a distance, though Briar were not as simple as that to determine. Sure, he might look the part as long as he kept his mouth closed and the simple cape on his back sitting where it were, but it wouldn't take long for somepony that got closer or touched him to find some inconsistencies that he could not touch. Like how his coat felt like soft grass, or his mane akin to healthy straw. The feeling of his skin having the texture of rubbery bark did not help it either if you got that far, and if a hoof went to his back and found one of the two budding flowers there, that each hid a vine that curled inside his body, it just got more obvious.
Or well, there used to be a flower bud and vine on each side. After his... Unfortunate experiences recently, one of the openings were for the time being instead covered in dirt and had a small sprout that poked slightly through the earth. It were connected to the remnants of his vine beneath, but it needed time to grow into a new bud, so for all intents and purposes, he were down a vine on his right side. Something which were highly annoying, but it could be worse all things considered. At least he still had the other.
He sniffed the air around where he were, and got the faint smell of something burnt that wafted through the air. It was subtle, but at some point it seemed that sompony had been here, and had... Potentially made a camp fire? It were possible, though usually one could smell that for a while, with the lingering, smouldering wood and all that. Could be one that just cleaned up well he supposed.
He let out a small sneeze from the smell, and as a yawn escaped him afterwards as well, the row of big, razor-sharp teeth got rather visible too, though not for long as he closed his mouth again.
one last thing were of note with him though, and one that might make Phoenix a little less worried about him if it were, and that were the thick bandages that were rolled in several layers around his head and eyes, covering his sockets completely, but leaving some room for his ears to be free at least. They weren't the usual white bandages, and instead for some reason were a deep purple, but the way it looked were still unmistakable if you knew a little about those sort of things.
"How peculiar. I wonder if perhaps I have wandered into an encampment of sorts?"
Briar walked a few steppes further, sniffing the air with every step and keeping his ears perked. if there were any sound, he'd find it, and if some kind of smell his nearby that wasn't obstructed by the vague smell of smoke, that would be something he could find the origins of as well, given a little time.
"Hello? Is somepony here perhaps? You need not to be alarmed if it is. I can assure you, I do not come with harm in mind."

"I grew up with the classic stories. The whole lead into gold, alchemist fable and the idea of a philosophers stone and all that stuff. Funny reading, but i could never find any proof that it had ever really led anywhere unfortunately. Well, except for being the basic for our modern medical field, but you know what I mean.
Honestly never figured it'd end up being less impressive with the stories. I mean, one metal into another makes sorta sense, but dirt into gold? That's a kicker."
Chow stopped up, just like he had been asked, though this time he didn't stay ready to pick it up again in a jiffy, and instead got the load off his shoulders for a bit. He didn't want a bad angle to whatever were gonna happen now. It'd end up being much too interesting of a thing to miss he'd bet.
"Lemme help you clear a bit of space for the drawing, aye?"
Without waiting for answers, Chow started to kick away rocks around an area in front of them. It was reasonably flat and didn't have too much grass that'd be in the way, but he figured these things were better to be removed. He'd stop doing it if he were asked though.

Lyriel couldn't hold in a laughter when Summer called her out on her little pranks. Yes, it was a bit childish of her and Frosty to muddle with things like this, but why did Summer and Blitz get to have all the fun on the beach to themselves?
Her smile faltered slightly as the later was suddenly dug for by Frosty, who seemingly had forgotten something regarding her. Perhaps he had covered her with too much sand and she could have trouble breathing? Oh dear mother Gaia, she hoped it was not something like that.
Her mood got better though, when in the cloud of sand that were splashed around she saw the smaller outline of Blitz sneak around and then jump towards Frosty, hooves first, aiming for getting a grip around his neck and likely give him a bit of a scare. Or to play catch perhaps? It were hard to tell with this one. A very... Random little creature.
Still, it seemed the game had changed a bit in any way, so to make things fair, she released Summer from the vine she had caught her with and sent it back into the ground. Perhaps she'd play some more games like this later, but for the time, she'd just sit back, relax, and watch the chaos unfold a little by little.

what test? are you talking about?
It's not a test really, it's just that, to make the RP fun for everyone to read and write in, I have to watch out for Mary Sue characters, or ones putting themselves as flawless gods. Trust me, it makes the RP wonky to have that sort around. :/
Thankfully, reading over your bios, it seems like there's not a problem there. Phoenixes aren't flawless or gods after all. ^^ So welcome to the thread mate.
