I apologize for the really long comment. It is just that I have spent a lot of time researching this subject so I know some stuff. Feel free to ask me questions on some of my counters.
Vaccines don't cause neural damage. It just doesn't make any logical sense. The study that suggested that got thoroughly rebutted.
Herd immunity only works if over 92% of people are vaccinated. Currently it is at 91%. Yes some people who have been vaccinated can still catch the disease. Plus there are people that are allergic to the eggs in vaccines. That is why herd immunity is important.
There are people who can get sick, or even die from vaccines. However this number of people dying is under 1%. Compare that the fatality rate of measles which cause 2.3 million deaths per year before vaccines
The toxic additives are so small that they aren't actually toxic. The amount of mercury in vaccines is at such a low amount that are bodies get rid of it before it can cause any damage. Mercury is even in breast milk.
On the flip side, absolutely everything can be toxic in high enough dosages. Including water. Just google "Water toxicity" for more information.
Also 'theory' is the highest point a scientific idea can reach in science. For example, Gravity is still a theory. What you seem to think a theory is is actually a hypothesis. Which is basically a educated guess. While a theory is a heavily tested answer.
Unfortunately people are stupid regarding their bodies. We know that exercise is good for us, but how many people actually do it? We know that we shouldn't eat a lot of junk food, and yet people still eat to much junk food. The reason we have doctors is so that we can focus our decision making on other important things, instead of trying to learn what a doctor has spent over 50,000 hours of their life to learn.
The reason we have politicians is so that they can make the decisions that will benefit the country as a whole, and not just the individual. What happens when millions of the population die because of measles. A disease that could have been prevented by vaccines that only have a failure rate of <1%? It is even in the "selfish" politicians best interest to keep the population alive and well. Otherwise they won't get as much money.
You said "just because you believe in something doesn't give you the right to force it on others". What happens when they know that vaccines work, but only when mostly everyone is vaccinated? There is a reason we don't have small pox or polio anymore, and the answer is vaccines. Back when vaccines first came out everyone got a shot. And lo and behold the disease is pretty much extinct now. Measles was the same way until parents started to refuse vaccinations.
Regarding whether or not it should be a choice. Say someone is walking down the street with a highly contagious disease. Would you rather him to continue walking. Potentially infecting everyone? Or quarantine him to his house so that he doesn't infect anyone?
I think it should be mandatory that if one should go into a public place they should have been vaccinated. If we stay at home all the time? Great don't get vaccinated. However, how likely is that for everyone?
However, I do agree that it should be a choice, a empathetic choice so that I don't harm anyone by being close to them. However, with the number of people required for vaccines to work properly. How can we be sure that everyone will make that choice?
One other point I think I should address. Vaccines won't weaken our immune system. Think of building muscle. does training muscles weaken them for when we need them? Maybe if you get into a fight right after training, but not if you have been training for weeks prior.
Here is a video explaining vaccines better than I could https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aNhzLUL2ys
