  1. And so it came to pass that the Steven Universe fandom received its very own welcome message.
  2. Oh how right you are. Welcome to the... Kindergarten?
  3. Yeah it doesn't do much, it was just a cool potential connection I thought of. Topaz just caught my eye. I think it is a good looking gem that somehow fits with me. I also really like the name.
  4. I don't have any at the moment, and I can't draw for the life of me. I'll just choose a gemstone that I would like to be made of, and that stone is Topaz. About the whole Lion being Rose thing. Sure it is possible, but I think it is more likely that he is... OH! I just made this connection. Lion is a familiar! Remember Connie's books? Steven asking what a familiar is? That is the perfect subtle way to hint at something. If it is true of course. What gems would you like to see next? Personally I would like to see Yellow Diamond.
  5. Hey you know what time it is? sleepy time! yazzzyzzz

  6. WOO! Steven Universe club! I was looking for this. My favorite gem is Lapis Lazuli. I do have a soft spot for water based characters. Have you guys noticed that the machines in the kindergarten look a lot like viruses? With all the holes in the cliffs. gem culture must treat planets like cells.
  7. You know what makes me sad? Realizing that I'm running out of Space Dandy.

  8. Killy Killy Joker from selector. It sounds so cool! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwPbF-zOmKk
  9. My iPod is slowing down so I can't play effectively. I did get to 90% on time machine, and most of the coins on the levels before that.
  10. Not a lot of love for the Marvelous mutants in this thread eh. @@Frostgage, You're awesome! Here are my favorites. Mutants: Phoenix, Wolverine, Rogue, Nightcrawler, Blink, Storm, Marrow, and Squirrel Girl. I love them all! Non-mutants: Wasp, Thor, and Spider Woman. Anti-Heroes: Deadpool!
  11. On the internet, no one knows you are a bat.

*Sonata starts eating the taco* Hmm tasty :3

  12. I can play a little by ear, but for the most part I read sheet music. I can improvise a bit, and touching up music is something I could do.
  13. I would love to join up. I am a pianist, I'm good at reading music, but not so good at composing it. My keyboard is a Roland 4F. Here is a cover of Fur Elise just because I only recently got a audio recorder. https://soundcloud.com/ivory-dreamer/fur-elise I can also play Jarrod Radnich level complexity. What do you say?
  14. Vaccines actually don't contain mercury anymore, aside from the flu shot which contains ethylmercury. Even though it is still mercury it won't stay in the bloodstream as you suggest. Also the bloodstream has great filtration in the form of kidneys and liver. Here is a description as to why: Medicine is hard. Like, really hard. It takes many months to develop a new drug. When they do find one they discover that it causes fatigue as well as cure whatever symptom. Pharmaceutical companies test their drugs for a really long time. Before making it to human trials. It just takes too long, and it is really expensive to find a effective drug. They may want to make money, but so does everyone else. They need money to research new drugs, and if these companies didn't exist we probably wouldn't have any of the actual life-saving drugs. That's true we don't want sheeple, but where should the line be drawn? What should or shouldn't be regulated? Honestly banning unvaccinated kids from schools makes sense. As they are just telling them if they want to go here they need to follow the rules. Not a mandatory shot, just a hoop to jump through to make sure that the other kids stay safe.
  15. Yeah it is unfortunate when that happens. The non-face to face way computers work can causes some problems.
  16. I apologize for the really long comment. It is just that I have spent a lot of time researching this subject so I know some stuff. Feel free to ask me questions on some of my counters. Vaccines don't cause neural damage. It just doesn't make any logical sense. The study that suggested that got thoroughly rebutted. Herd immunity only works if over 92% of people are vaccinated. Currently it is at 91%. Yes some people who have been vaccinated can still catch the disease. Plus there are people that are allergic to the eggs in vaccines. That is why herd immunity is important. There are people who can get sick, or even die from vaccines. However this number of people dying is under 1%. Compare that the fatality rate of measles which cause 2.3 million deaths per year before vaccines The toxic additives are so small that they aren't actually toxic. The amount of mercury in vaccines is at such a low amount that are bodies get rid of it before it can cause any damage. Mercury is even in breast milk. On the flip side, absolutely everything can be toxic in high enough dosages. Including water. Just google "Water toxicity" for more information. Also 'theory' is the highest point a scientific idea can reach in science. For example, Gravity is still a theory. What you seem to think a theory is is actually a hypothesis. Which is basically a educated guess. While a theory is a heavily tested answer. Unfortunately people are stupid regarding their bodies. We know that exercise is good for us, but how many people actually do it? We know that we shouldn't eat a lot of junk food, and yet people still eat to much junk food. The reason we have doctors is so that we can focus our decision making on other important things, instead of trying to learn what a doctor has spent over 50,000 hours of their life to learn. The reason we have politicians is so that they can make the decisions that will benefit the country as a whole, and not just the individual. What happens when millions of the population die because of measles. A disease that could have been prevented by vaccines that only have a failure rate of <1%? It is even in the "selfish" politicians best interest to keep the population alive and well. Otherwise they won't get as much money. You said "just because you believe in something doesn't give you the right to force it on others". What happens when they know that vaccines work, but only when mostly everyone is vaccinated? There is a reason we don't have small pox or polio anymore, and the answer is vaccines. Back when vaccines first came out everyone got a shot. And lo and behold the disease is pretty much extinct now. Measles was the same way until parents started to refuse vaccinations. Regarding whether or not it should be a choice. Say someone is walking down the street with a highly contagious disease. Would you rather him to continue walking. Potentially infecting everyone? Or quarantine him to his house so that he doesn't infect anyone? I think it should be mandatory that if one should go into a public place they should have been vaccinated. If we stay at home all the time? Great don't get vaccinated. However, how likely is that for everyone? However, I do agree that it should be a choice, a empathetic choice so that I don't harm anyone by being close to them. However, with the number of people required for vaccines to work properly. How can we be sure that everyone will make that choice? One other point I think I should address. Vaccines won't weaken our immune system. Think of building muscle. does training muscles weaken them for when we need them? Maybe if you get into a fight right after training, but not if you have been training for weeks prior. Here is a video explaining vaccines better than I could https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aNhzLUL2ys
  17. I didn't mean to suggest that you didn't. While I don't have any kids of my own. Being the oldest of seven sometimes feels like I am the third parent. (not the best third parent be any means.) So I can relate to what the cakes' deal with. That is part of the reason I like the ship. But hey, That is my view. it doesn't matter to me whether or not you ship them. To each their own.
  18. That is a lot of ships. I am much more passive about what I ship. I included the cakes because of Silver Quill's analysis of them. They don't get that much love.
  19. Meaning to be more consistent doesn't make one more consistent... :\
  20. As you all all know, shipping is the pairing of two characters. Either friendly, or romantic. As for what I think of it? Honestly I think it is fun. I am a fan of the "cartoon multiverse". Where if something happens in one universe the opposite, or at least something different, happens in the other. With this view I can look at each ship as equally possible. Are there some ships I don't like? Yes. However, because the multiverse is vast I can easily ignore the ships I don't like in favour to the ones I do. However, than there is the "Canon". When dealing with the canon of any form of media, shipping becomes a kind of game. In which we try to guess which characters will end up together. Sometimes these ships will trickle into the media we are watching, but this is rare to say the least. However, people do get hung up on the fact that they might be right about their ship. Even though it doesn't really matter that much. I view canon as just another universe in the cartoon multiverse. I don't think canon prime is inherently more important than any other version of it. Allowing for whatever fun someone wants to have. Some of my favorite ships: So what do you guys think? Agree with my interpretation? Completely hate it? Or think I need to work on mah English? Guess what! That's what comments are for! XD

  22. Of the side characters we have: Of the headcanon characters we have: List may be subject to changes
  23. I don't know how much tolerance I have, but I can ignore minor pain and to some extant larger injuries as well. Although the most painful thing I can remember involves empathy. So, I am more sensitive too other's pain than my own.
