  1. At first I'd be like, "what?? Where'd this come from?" And then I'd notice it was the real Pinkie Pie, and I'd wonder if I were crazy. But then again, Pinkie Pie bends reality so much that I wouldn't be too surprised to see her. XP And then we'd become friends and hang out and play all day, and it'd be awesome.
  2. 1. Teenage guys and older are getting into this show? Heh... that's kinda epic... wonder what makes this show so special.. 2. I'm bored.. I'm gonna watch a random episode of Mlp, just to see what all the fuss is about.. I hope it's not too childish. 3. *watches Baby Cakes* 4. ....this is.. actually pretty good. 5. Okay. I like this show. 6. I guess I ought to start watching from the beginning now... And voila, a new brony evolved.
  3. As long as Disney didn't change how the show went, I wouldn't mind too much. Being a Disney nerd, it'd basically be combining two of my favorite things. My biggest hope would be for Disney to add mlp to their theme parks (I know they'd have a TON of merchandise). Disney's amazing with their realistic theme park attractions and they pay extremely close attention to detail... can you imagine walking around a perfectly recreated Ponyville? Buying cupcakes made by Mr. Cake, Mrs. Cake and Pinkie Pie? Touring through Rarity's dress shop? I'll bet they'd make a way cool Rainbow Dash ride. I would so want to go there.. or maybe work there. Then I could say I work in Ponyville. XD
  4. Dear sweet Celestia, someone make this happen. A convention would be epic, but can you imagine having a pony themed cruise ship all the time? (kinda like how Disney has cruise ships) There'd be pony themed rooms and areas on the ship, and there could be pony themed shows and contests, and a pony themed pool and play area (for kids and adults alike.. fun for the whole family!) A room where episodes would play all the time, a brony meet and greet, an artists section... and the ship could travel to a little island that was made to look like a full scale replica of Ponyville! Who cares if I'm being unrealistic, just imagining it is awesome!
  5. I am all sorts of Pinkie Pie. It seems I'm least like Rainbow Dash, which I would agree with, but that makes me wonder why I've dreamed about being Rainbow Dash (and haven't been any other ponies in my dreams). I guess that's the closest I'll ever get to being her.
  6. Name: Brownie Bitz Age: Young Mare Tribe: Earth Pony Area of Residence: Ponyville Family: Mother and twin sister (Creme la Cream and Oreo Blitz) Pets: A small puppy named Choco. Occupation: Runs a children's theatre with her sister Oreo Blitz. Cutie Mark: A spotlight shining down on a ponified tragedy mask (which goes with her sister's cutie mark, creating the classic theatre symbol), representing her love of performing. Brownie Bitz's mother started her daycare when Brownie was little. From then, she's been helping with younger children and finding ways to keep them entertained. She and Orea Blitz would come up with little shows for the other children at the daycare to watch. As they got older, the shows became more elaborate, and eventually they started Stage Batter, their own children's theatre, making a space for their mother's daycare in the building, and adding acting classes and mini shows that the colts and fillies could perform for their parents.
  7. Name: Oreo Blitz Age: Young Mare Tribe: Earth Pony Area of Residence: Ponyville Family: Mother and twin sister (Creme la Cream and Brownie Bitz) Pets: None Occupation: Runs children's theatre with her sister Brownie Bitz Cutie Mark: A spotlight shining down on a ponified comedy mask, representing her love of performing. Oreo Blitz's mother started her daycare when Oreo was little. From then, she's been helping with younger children and finding ways to keep them entertained. She and Brownie Bitz would come up with little shows for the other children at the daycare to watch. 8. Name: Autumn Breeze Age: Young Mare Tribe: Pegasus Area of Residence: Las Pegasus Family: Mother and father (Caramel Apple Crisp and Jack O'leaf) Pets: None Occupation: Aerial show pony (stage name is Twister) Cutie Mark: An arrow with colorful streamers attached to the end of it, representing her love of flying and performing. Autumn Breeze grew up in Cloudsdale, and was raised by parents who helped tend the weather there. The family had been in the cloud shaping business for generations, and Autumn Breeze was expected to continue the tradition. However, Autumn Breeze loved free flying and practicing flips, barrel rolls, dives, twists and turns... to her parents dismay. They demanded that she stop fooling around and focus on the family business, but it wasn't for her. When she was old enough, she snuck away from her home and moved to Las Pegasus, where she eventually landed a spot in a flashy show called Wild and Windy World. She goes by the stage name Twister, so her parents don't hear about what she's doing. She loves her job though, even if she has to hide from her parents.
  9. There don't seem to be a lot of teenage-like ponies.... I never thought about that before. A lot of the "adult" ponies look to be of very similar ages.. and other than Granny Smith, most of the ponies one might consider to be older don't really look much older. I figure culture in Equestria is different than ours... teens might have jobs because there's not really pony high school or college, is there? So there's not much else to do... it may be completely legal and normal for ponies to go get jobs once they've reached teenage years... With that in mind, what are the age ranges in the mane six anyways? Do they mention it a lot, really? Some might technically be teenagers, while others might be considered young adults, for example.. That's what I've always assumed, I suppose. I probably don't know enough to really say, but that's what my brain decided to think.
  10. I've never noticed that before.... but it makes sense for Rarity to have that... she is the fashionable, good looking pony, after all.
  11. It's uh... heh.. actually recorded on my old Mac computer I used to have. >.>' My family has a nice microphone system (that wasn't available to me when I recorded that), but I can't remember what kind it is. I don't live with them at the moment, but I'm house sitting for them for a week in early February, so if you do decide to use me for anything, I'll have access to it (and it's very clear and nice.. my youngest brother uses it to record Let's Plays for YouTube, and the sound quality's pretty darn good).
  12. I waaaaaaaant it.... I'm sure you could find actors that could pull off the look and voice. If anything, you could record the singing voices if they couldn't do that and lip sync it or something (Disney does that). I'm not sure where it'd play though... Broadway could make SO much money from it. XD I don't know if they'd go for something like that right away though... Sounds like something that could start as a fan project though. Kind of like A Very Potter Musical, from the Harry Potter fandom (and that one got CRAZY popular). Then maybe if it caught on enough bigger stages might tweak it and do it themselves. I'd bet you could do a musical for lots of moments in the show itself... if they can do Lion King on Broadway with humans, they can do ponies with humans and make it look good.. even if it's kind of representational. ...now you've got me wanting to work on this...
  13. My taste in music is pretty varied... I usually go from song to song instead of genre to genre.. though I do have a habit of listening to a LOT of Disney songs. >.>' I really like listening to Mlp songs too.. I try to do a variety of remixes and original songs. I don't have much merchandise though.. I have a small Pinkie Pie plush, and a Derpy Hooves plush, and... that's kind of it. You know...for now. That's one of the least feminine shirts I've seen.. Rainbow Dash isn't exactly known for being girly. I think you should be able to wear whatever you want anyway... I'd buy it for you if I had the money.
  14. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kilwJew4qco I have a mane six (plus a couple of others) voice reel video. Just wanted to link it to you in case you felt like checking it out.
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kilwJew4qco&list=UUGC1W6bAKrCa1rYwFxCva0g Thought I may as well put my dumb little mlp demo reel on here (even thought nopony's posted on this thread for a long time). XP Voice acting is something I've been thinking of pursuing on and off, but I don't have the money for a VA workshop or for a professionally made demo reel (and I'm not tech savvy, so there's no way I could do it myself, unfortunately. At least, not if I want the reel's sound quality to be any good. :s) Maybe I'll add other character demo reels in the future.. but that's kind of all I've got for now. ^_^'
  16. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kilwJew4qco&list=UUGC1W6bAKrCa1rYwFxCva0g I dabble in voice acting from time to time. There's my mlp "demo reel," in case you wanna look at it. (my Rainbow Dash is lame... but the others are decent, I think)
  17. I claim Derpy Hooves, please and thank you!
  18. Name: Frosting Sprinkle Age: Young Mare Tribe: Earth Pony Area of Residence: Canterlot Family: None Pets: None Occupation: Set design at a theatre Cutie Mark: The comedy and tragedy masks (ponified) facing each other with a musical note between them, representing her love of expressing, performing and sharing stories, adventures and new experiences with others. Frosting Sprinkle was found as a baby on the outskirts of Ponyville, and was taken in by a few ponies who lived in a butterfly ranch around the area. Her caretakers noticed her theatrical ability as she grew, and when she was old enough, they encouraged her to travel to Canterlot and seek a theatre to perform in a theatre. Since competition was fierce and Frosting Sprinkle was raise in such a small, rural area, she was nervous and was unable to obtain any performing roles. Instead, she found herself a job as a techie, helping to design and build sets. She watches the performers and dreams of being one herself one day (and has been known to cause problems with the set/costumes/props/etc. because she's daydreaming about being on the stage instead of paying attention).
  19. Name: Fudge Freezepop Age: Young Mare Tribe: Earth Pony Area of Residence: Ponyville Family: Mother who lives in Canterlot (Gelata) Pets: Flip, Flap and Flutterby (name inspired by Fluttershy, as she helped Fudge Freezepop rescue the little baby hummingbird from the ruins of a fallen tree after a storm one morning), three hummingbirds that roam around the shop and around her outside garden. Occupation: Owns a flower and garden shop Cutie Mark: Three doves perched on a heart shaped vine with tiny flowers on it, representing her love of nature. Fudge Freezepop was never fond of life in Canterlot. While she did keep a windowsill garden, she spent most of her time dreaming about life in a small town, where she could have a big garden and spend most of her time outside. She moved to Ponyville not long after she was old enough to move out of her mother's home, and quickly set up a flower and garden shop, which became successful rather quickly. She lives above her shop, and has her own large dream garden behind the building, where she teaches gardening classes two times a week.
  20. Name: Banana Twist Age: Young Mare Tribe: Earth Pony Area of Residence: Ponyville Family: Parents, both live in Fillydelphia (Strawberry Sorbet and Citrus Zest) Pets: None Occupation: Writes the riddle and mystery game columns for the local newspaper, has worked at historic sites and museums, and has done detective work in the past. Cutie Mark: A magnifying glass with a light bulb symbol in it, to represent her curiosity and love of discovering and sharing information. Banana Twist grew up quickly in Fillydelphia. She was an extremely curious filly, which both got her into trouble and helped her and others interchangeably. As she grew, her love of mysteries and unusual or previously undiscovered information grew, and she traveled throughout Equestria, working many different kinds of jobs and discovering many things (which she keeps in her journal collection). She's lived in Ponyville for only a few months, but is fitting in well and loves the place.
  21. Name: Whispy Wind Age: Young Mare Tribe: Pegasus Area of Residence: Ponyville Family: Older sister (Dizzy Hurricane) Pets: Blink the lightning bug Occupation: Therapist Cutie Mark: Whispy clouds with a few sparkling raindrops, representing her natural tendency to be gentle and provide comfort to others Whispy Wind moved from Cloudsdale to Ponyville about a year ago. She spent most of her childhood encouraging her sister to follow her dreams of moving to Las Pegasus to become a show pony, and was there for her whenever things got difficult. Once Dizzy got a place in a show in Las Pegasus, Whispy Wind moved to Ponyville, hoping to find a little place to stay and work there. She set up a therapy business, and whenever ponies are sad they come to her for comfort and gentle guidance. Whispy Wind loves what she does, constantly develops new ways to help people, and makes sure to give all of her clients a hug before they leave her office after every appointment.
  22. Name: Taffy Tart Age: Young Mare Tribe: Earth Pony Area of Residence: Ponyville Family: Dad and little brother: (Lemon Tart and Pip Tart) Pets: A small pig named Peep Occupation: Works in family's toy shop, Tic Tac Toy (specializes in the pranking section) Cutie Mark: A big, Cheshire-cat style grin, to represent her love of making people laugh. Taffy Tart's favorite things were toys and laughter ever since anyone can remember. She fit right in with the family business, and will one day take over the shop as her own... although she's so well known by the customers, her dad often says she runs the place already! Pranks have a special place in Taffy Tart's heart. She loves practical jokes, though she's very careful to never pull any pranks that might upset anypony (she learned that lesson as a filly). However, she is very mischievous, and has a trickster personality that's laced with a charm that helps ponies forgive her when she does overstep the bounderies a little bit (which is more rare nowadays than it was when she was younger). Taffy Tart acquired Peep from Fluttershy a few years back, and the family lets him run around the store and entertain the young ponies who come in (you know, after they're done looking at all the toys).
  23. I love making characters. It's fun to create individual ponies and fill out their personalities, lives, hopes, dreams, fears... I don't know. I just love characters. When it comes to OCs, I like to use characteristics that relate to me (at least to some extent), so I can pull from my own experience and make them believable. I've tried in the past to make one and only one OC, but... I can't put my entire self into one OC. It gets too complicated. So I've decided to write about some of my OCs here.. I'm sure I'll stick them into the character database too, of course.. but I wanna put them here too.. because they're easier for me to find. However, since I'm lazy, I've been using the pony maker game to design the ponies (or at least, the basic concept of them). I'll draw them.. eventually. Anyway.. without further ado... Name: Lemon Pudding Age: Young Mare' Tribe: Earth Pony Family: Parents (Jello Jitter and Summer Sunblaze) Pets: None Occupation: Painter and cafe worker (helps out in her parents' cafe) Cutie Mark: A rainbow paintbrush with paint made of stars and sparkles, to represent her imagination and her ability to create extremely realistic, magically interactive paintings. Lemon Pudding grew up in Ponyville, spending most of her time helping her parents in their cafe. Her parents took notice of her artistic talent and decided to let her take some art classes. Lemon Pudding was a natural creative, and a natural painter. As she grew, she realizes she could make her paintings move, and ponies (herself included, of course) could interact with them. When she grew old enough to be on her own, she began to sell her magical paintings full time, and they've become popular enough throughout Equestria for her to make a comfortable living off of them. She's been invited to live in a few other bigger cities, but she would rather stay in Ponyville, her favorite place in Equestria, and be around to help her parents in the cafe when they need it.
  24. I could definitely use some element of laughter right now...
