Brand=New! Never seen that before... (Sorry I'm late, I've had a lot going on lately.) Anyway, on to this week's theme! This week we're looking for OCs with truly unique talents. More specifically, we want OCs that are pioneers in their trade, wether it be a unicorn creating a new brand of magic, or an earth pony with a new breed of magical plant. I've already got a character to work on for this myself. Now how about you? It is recommended that you use this site's Character Databases for creating your character. They may have been containing it well, but it usually took a bit more time to calm down after combat. Neither of them had any idea what orders were, so they had no choice but to wait. Wether or not they would follow the orders if they ended up disagreeing with them were another thing altogether. He planted the last seed and the ground began to glow at each of the newly planted seeds. Slowly, the young saplings sprouted up from the ground filling the air with a warm glow, the one Syo had planted having come up off center, then curving in one direction, then back in the other. The energy flowed in a pattern changing in intensity and color in a rythmic pattern, almost like music for the deaf (the Sydonian changeling tradition had to be inspired by something). Briar would even be able to sense it himself, as it was more than just light, it was magic flowing through the air. It reached far and highlighted the tears in the world, one where The Forgotten One tried to take Brittle earlier, and one where Sylar was pulled through. Slowly the rifts closed. Never before had this many Everwood seeds been planted at the same time, because usually a permit only allowed for one tree to be harvested. The lights and magic would reach as far as Ponyville, repairing the damage left by The Forgotten One. @@Lonk Chase @@GingerLightning @@Blitz Boom A booming laughter would come in response to Ginger's threat, followed by ground shaking steps until a hippopotamus came into view. This however was no ordinary hippo, he had great feathered wings and the horns of a ram. He was almost as big as the building they were in and the trees bent as he squeezed between them. Technically, his species would be called Pheldagriffs, but usually they didn't have horns. "Be calm young ones, I mean no harm." Sissilia looked on in awe. She knew the stories of the origin of her kind, but seeing this being before them was hard even for the mind of a child such as her to believe. "Grandfather?" It was more of a title than an indication of any sort of relation between them. The two were definitely not of the same bloodline. His goal was now in sight. He attempted to possess Quinch's armor so he could communicate with him. "Can you hear me? Hello?" Miles tried to talk to him through the suit's communicator.

@@MDLineArt The qualities of a good Alicorn OC are that it makes sense as a character that could be introduced in the show or may have been possible in either an alternate timeline or a different time period but still fits the show's themes. Basically, an Alicorn Prince of War and Death doesn't quite fit, but Pixel Wavelength Princess of the Internet does, as does Lightning Bliss Princess of Rainbows (though her tail style is questionable as it isn't something seen in the show, sometimes an OC needs a unique feature to differentiate them from others). Also, nopony's perfect. To compare to super heroes: the typical alicorn OC is like Superman, indestructible with a toolbox of powers and can never do anything wrong. That should be avoided. What you really need is a character more like Captain America. Sure, he is stronger than the average man, but he's not so incredibly powerful that nothing can stop him. @@Carl Poppa Keep in mind, the theme is optional. Anyone can come up with any kind of OC they want at any time. If you have a friend that you think may be interested, feel free to invite them. If you have an already existing OC that you feel needs improvement, I'd definitely be willing to help with that myself. Right now is an important time for this group as we are trying to get the ball rolling, so we definitely need more members. @everyone Now in order to save this theme so people can look back at previous themes, I'm posting it again here. Next week I will be putting the new theme in the original post, replacing the old theme completely. That's So O.P. This week: Alicorns! Yeah, that's right: Alicorns. One of the most frowned upon things in this fandom is an Alicorn OC. Let's change that. This week, let's try to come up with well balanced Alicorns to prove the fandom wrong about them. Let's create Alicorns that make sense and aren't overpowered. Alicorns can be just as flawed as any other pony without being edgy black and red ponies with a dark past. I recommend thinking of what they were before they ascended. This may be a challenge, so think long and hard about it. I'd love to see what you can create. Was there something they were forgetting about? Seamore had covered over each one properly... Then he realized, both Brittle and Syo still had their seeds. "Hey Syo, Brittle, you two can plant your seeds now." @@Blitz Boom @@SugarfootWillie @@Quinch Penny slumped to the ground, barely holding herself up with her front legs. She seemed to be physically weakened by her emotions, tears were pouring down her face. An expensive Canterlot education and what good did it do her? Another pony were dead, Ponyville was in danger, and she still could not figure out a spell that would let her see the threat. Were the hardships her family had endured to pay for her schooling for nothing? Meanwhile, Miles traveled quickly to Ponyville. The plan was already set in motion, though it had to be modified slightly. Normally he would be fascinated at the magic involved in separating himself from his body, but right now he just did not have the time.

This here is a place where great minds can come together to create high quality OCs. Wether you have an idea for a new OC, have an existing OC that needs improvement, or just want to help others with their OCs, this is the place for you. If you would like help with an OC, feel free to ask. The goal here is to form a group of people who are comfortable working together on OCs. Please use this site's database for the creation of your OCs, links will be provided below each Weekly Theme. All criticism here MUST BE CONSTRUCTIVE, blatant insults are not welcome and will be reported. Also, alicorn OCs are OKAY, they just need to be well thought out. Each week, I will also be posting a suggested theme as inspiration for new OCs. This is NOT mandatory, it is JUST A SUGGESTION. I'm relaunching this group so I can edit the original post myself. It seems this topic has died because the original post doesn't clearly explain everything. If a moderator reads this, I would like to recommend locking this topic as it will no longer be used by this group. I however do not expect you to do that without first contacting the one who started this topic to be sure that he did in fact put me in charge of the group.

I'm disappointed that I didn't get around to posting anything today. I'll do my best to get to it tomorrow. @@Blitz Boom, The only thing I meant by "Not that Traveler" was not the one from Ghostbusters. It really is the traveler I mentioned in this Roleplay. There is much to still be said about him.

Instead, he laughed in a low booming voice, a deep voice that had a slight echo to it. By his voice alone, it should be clear that he wasn't a small creature. "Such energy you have, young Lonk." The Unknown entity definitely sounded amused. Sisilia's eyes darted around as she tried to figure out where the voice was coming from.

He's another character, but he is a big part of the overarching story I've been building here. I'm not sure what direction I will take with him yet.
