  1. I really want to know this: How in the world is Hasbro going to earn money out of their Tell Your Tale episodes with all their YouTube channels demonetized? Obviously, everything there is "made for kids", which are automatically demonetized, and because of this, Hasbro can't earn any revenue from ads on their videos.
  2. But with every YouTube channel demonetized, how can Hasbro make money out of that?
  3. Here are some reasons why YouTube is absolutely not the best place for MLP G4 or EG: Made For Kids (Well, Not Really for Today's Kids) Whenever anything on YouTube contains kids’ content, it almost always gets set to “made for kids”, including My Little Pony. YouTube is only doing this to avoid collecting data from children under 13. However, today's kids are not likely going to be interested in G4 or EG, unlike the kids who outgrew MLP over the years, and of course, any MLP video marked “made for kids” are actually “made for no one”, as it's only driving more and more fans away from YouTube, resulting in no audience for the official uploads from the MLP channels, and much less earnings for Hasbro. Ads that may contain adult material Sometimes, a video set to “made for kids” will show a commercial of an R or TV-MA rated film or program. This is only going to lead to more complaints from parents to the FTC, and YouTube could face even more charges on that. The channels could get terminated No matter how unlikely you guys all think the worldwide official MLP channels will get terminated, there never will be a 0% chance that it could still happen. Heck, I’ve seen an official clip of a Nickelodeon animated TV show uploaded by the official channel get taken down for violating YouTube’s TOS. Just like in poker, the chance of getting a royal flush is the same as the chance of an MLP YouTube channel getting terminated. Not everything gets uploaded Many of the international MLP channels always go on hiatus every once in a while, sometimes even for more than a year, and even by then, they still don't finish uploading the rest of the series. This is especially in the case of the Japanese dub of the show and the Equestria Girls series worldwide. For all these reasons, I don't think YouTube is the right place at all for G4 or EG. G5 is okay there, though, but certainly not G4 or anything older than that. Anything from G4 or earlier generations deserve to be on a much better streaming service, besides YouTube and especially Discovery Family, their original network, where they've stayed there long enough by now. And besides, I've also terminated my own YouTube channels because there's lots of other streaming services I prefer anyways.
  4. Either way, I still want to see Hasbro move to anywhere but Discovery Family or any other network without a VOD service by the time their contract with DF expires next year at the earliest, since that's when it's currently scheduled. If I see any kind of My Little Pony episode appearing in the April 2025 schedule, I am writing that petition I mentioned earlier. Not only that, Hasbro Entertainment won't be very likely to earn much money through both Discovery Family and YouTube combined.
  5. And in that marketing slide, next to "Make Your Mark", it just says "Always on: Episodes will live on Netflix throughout 2024", which, like I said many times, is only a friendly way of saying, "You're not getting anything new this year!".
  6. Honestly, can't it be possible that Discovery Family can just end their contract much sooner instead of letting it last for the full amount of time? Besides, international productions of My Little Pony and Transformers before 2021 are already suffering seriously pervasive censorship worldwide, and Hasbro is already giving Discovery Family a hard time themselves by forcing their shows back on the channel while the network itself is trying to make room for WB cartoons. And if they dare renew their contract again, I am starting a petition to force them to move to another service.
  7. You can't! Well, anymore, at least. In my opinion, YouTube started getting worse in 2020, when many videos were set to "made for kids", redirecting millions of users to a video titled "Features impacted by COPPA: Made for Kids content". The YouTube staff was offended so much by the massive amount of dislikes the video received that they took more action by disabling the YouTube Dislike feature. And finally, the service is forcing creators to disclose use of AI on their channels, which could be serious trouble for all the My Little Pony official channels worldwide.
  8. Well, this is unpleasant. After January 2024, there will be no more My Little Pony whatsoever on Hulu. I thought we were going to finally get it on Disney+ with Hulu merging with the service and all, but unfortunately, I guess that won't be happening now. At this rate, both Generation 4 and Equestria Girls are going the right away to going down like Dragon Tales did -- dormancy.
  9. 2021 was miles better than 2023. We got all Season 1 of Pony Life on digital VOD, and A New Generation on Netflix. And unless Hasbro does something good to G4, 2024 will be just as bad, maybe even worse, than 2023. And like I said in my first post, where it says "Always On: Episodes will live on Netflix throughout 2024", as seen here: This is just a friendly way of saying, "You're getting nothing new this year!"
  10. But look at this: Not only are both these videos the exact same thing, they have different addresses. And they're from the same official MLP channel. As additional proof, here's the links to the exact same videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PzGEnlPQNM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlJ-ApMUFjo
  11. But what if, for some reason, an official My Little Pony channel on YouTube gets terminated? I know it's unlikely, but what if it does happen?
  12. Nowhere as good as Friendship is Magic, obviously.
  13. I bailed out of YouTube four months ago because of the guidelines getting stricter and stricter these days, and my channel primarily comprised of AI videos, which is what the platform is now cracking down on. Besides, there's lots of other streaming services I can choose from besides YouTube, such as Disney+, Netflix, Tubi, Pluto TV, Roku, and among others.
  14. Unfortunately on that part, I terminated all of my YouTube channels because I very seldom watch YouTube nowadays, and I only used to use AI to make YouTube videos. Moreover, most of the official My Little Pony YouTube channels are doing no good for G4 fans. They go on hiatus every once in a while, sometimes even for a long time.
  15. 2023 has been the worst year for My Little Pony fans. The worst ever! Aside from all the Make Your Mark episodes on Netflix and Tell Your Tale on YouTube, we did not get much at all of anything else. All we got at all worldwide were the Korean dub of Friendship is Magic's final season, and Portugal finally getting Season 7 of FiM, Rainbow Roadtrip, and Pony Life. That is it -- nothing else. Which means all the 2019 Equestria Girls specials and Rainbow Roadtrip still remain banned in many countries including most of Northern and Western Europe and especially Turkey, the latter who has also banned the Disney movies Lightyear and Strange World. Another piece of awful news this year is that no new digital home media releases occurred for the first time within an entire calendar year in My Little Pony history, for this generation or G5, with the New Generation movie being the last new release in April 2022. I checked iTunes, Amazon Video, and every other digital media store, and found absolutely nothing new! Which means you have to continue spending a buttload of money on Netflix to see one of the two series, and it's still downright illegal for streaming services and media stores to distribute Rainbow Roadtrip or the Friendship is Forever miniseries in the United States. It's all because of one thing: Hasbro's force on its ownership with Discovery Family. I'm betting that right before the contract was previously set to expire by the end of 2021, in addition to extending it to 2025, they put an extreme amount of force into their ownership, which is what caused the show to be removed from Netflix instead of that other network, and eventually resulting in the entire My Little Pony library to return to DF without warning (including every season and episode that was previously taken out of circulation within the last few years), and all remaining Hasbro-owned programming (including My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) to now be the absolute oldest shows still airing there, even despite the shutdowns of the Discovery Family GO! app and the channel's official website. Which means you have to continue subscribing to cable (which will cost you a lot more than even Premium Netflix today) to see the show again, and I know none of you guys want to do that, and nor do I. Of course, Pony Life was removed from both Hulu and Discovery Family in 2023, leaving only Season 9 of Friendship is Magic still on Hulu, but despite the show's removal, Discovery Family still owns the rights to it, meaning that no streaming service can acquire it now until the rights expire, likely because of the way Hasbro forced their shows to stay on DF, even if the channel refuses to air them. I'm really hoping 2024 will be much better than this year was. On that marketing slide, where it says "Episodes will live on Netflix throughout 2024", it's basically a friendly way of saying, "You're getting nothing new this year!" Besides, Hasbro Entertainment really needs do something about all of its content, rather than just solely focus on the new stuff like Season 2 of Tell Your Tale.
  16. Someone please lock this topic. Pretty much everything is now on KiDoodleTV; therefore this topic is no longer needed.
  17. I was wondering, what will happen if you upload the exact same video you already have on your YouTube channel a second time on the exact same channel? I want to know this because I've seen the official My Little Pony channel reuploading a bunch of their exact same videos multiple times on their same channel.
  18. My hopes are that until the contract with Discovery Family is up, the show should air again if the channel reduces Friendship is Magic by 30 minutes every weekday. Besides, FiM's weekday schedule has remained completely unchanged for over a year, and it airs 5 TIMES every weekday afternoon.
  19. It's all because of Russia's invasion of Ukraine that kids are not seeing Make Your Mark or Tell Your Tale in Russian. For them to get released, the invasion will have to end, which I expect to see happen by October 31, 2024, since it's been that much time at maximum when teaching and speaking of Korean was once forbidden in Japanese Korea from January 1943 to September 1945.
  20. But like I said, most of the official YouTube channels for My Little Pony aren't uploading any Equestria Girls specials there. Which means still no Spring Breakdown, Sunset's Backstage Pass, Holidays Unwrapped, or Rainbow Roadtrip for the kids from most of those countries, and you know that all the MLP YouTube channels are "made for kids".
  21. I strongly agree with you and Twilight's reaction. But the only way MLP (G4) and EG can go back to streaming is for the now evil Discovery Family's contract with Hasbro to be torn up first.
  22. But what about all the foreigners that don't have access to it, anymore or at all? Not quite the whole series. The official My Little Pony YouTube channels do not go past Season 4, like Netflix USA. Plus, none of those channels even ever uploaded the rest of the Equestria Girls specials in any of the languages I mentioned.
  23. I started this poll because Netflix refused to release any of the 2019 specials in the Equestria Girls franchise, plus Rainbow Roadtrip. Because of this, there has been a noticeable decrease in the amount of dubs produced and released for the specials, as Netflix exclusively hosted most of them, such as French, Spanish (Spain), Portuguese (Portugal), German, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Turkish, Japanese, Thai, Hindi and Vietnamese. I really want these specials to have a new home somewhere, because Hasbro worked really hard on all the international productions, and to see them all in the "Shelf of Movie Languishment" for years is really annoying, knowing that all the other G4 content has been removed from Netflix except the first season of MLP in most countries. NOTE: I will be a little disappointed if you pick "other", and I will be really unhappy if you pick "nowhere". Besides, virtually no one watches cable TV anymore, especially Discovery Family Channel, and G4 can't stay in the evil hands of that channel forever.
  24. As of October 2023, Pony Life is no longer on Discovery Family, with LPS: A World of Our Own, then Looney Tunes taking its place. Moreover, Hulu also removed the show in April 2023, leaving only Season 9 of Friendship is Magic still streaming there. And with Hasbro still refusing to leave Discovery Family, what can Pony Life fans do now?
