  1. I see. Well, thank you for your constructive criticism. It's very much appreciated.
  2. I can already, as you say, make my own artwork. I just wanted to "touch"/"feel" this person's style. As for all of the...mistakes... I've made, this style is vastly different from my own, which is why it looks ghastly I know! It looks so funny, but that gives it character! I wasn't going for accuracy, by the way
  3. So, I drew from a drawing (yeah, I don't know how else to word it) my three favorite ponies from someone else's original work (I don't know who). I just thought they looked completely AWESOME and I wanted to "feel" them with my pencil myself. Basically it's FANART or FANART It's on an 18x24" sheet. I don't know if I want to add any color, but if I do, I think I'll use crayons as the medium. I've been wanting to use them for a while. (I keep repeating that it's a drawing of a drawing/cyberart/whatever-it-is because I don't want to take credit for the idea and style) Anyways here's my drawing of the drawing: and the original work/style/whatever: I don't know who to give credit to, I just found it on Google. UPDATE!: Here's the finished product, colored in Crayola crayons!
  4. Thanks! I will, if I actually make any progress XD
  5. PSN: milagrosofgondor I'll occasionally play AC:Brotherhood online. I had Black Ops, but it rolled into my path and I broke it. I do have Modern Warfare 2, though, if anyone's interested. I'm not extremely terrible Also have Catherine. I think that's online multiplayer...
  6. I'm not great at mixing colors, either, which is why I wont do the blue outlining. I'd completely screw it up! So I'll just leave the green to outline it....for now. It's Damian! He's a crazy genius, but loyal so he wont go rogue like Jason. My favorite Robin thus far.
  7. The wall is probably going to stay black&blue. I'm not too big on coloring in my junk. Especially with paints! I'm not very fond of painting because of the lack of control, and all the complicated shading "rules" and all that jazz. I probably will erase him, he's creeping me out XD Here's Rainbow Dash! Notice how badly I did with her tail? Haha. Painting is not my forte! But the rest of her looks alright! And if she doesn't, it's because I was scared the entire time I was working on her. I had to stand on a little stool and it was unbalanced!
  8. I was doodling on my wall with chalk and the "mural" was created. I traced them over with acrylic paint. I've also got a Rainbow Dash painted onto one of my green walls Robin is going to stay chalk, but he looks a little off, and I can't figure out why. I know his head and chest look weird, but it's just a quick sketch! I haven't gotten around to putting in the details and fixing my many mistakes. Oh, and I did something to it on iPhoto (obviously!), so it could be seen better. I think it's called tinting, but I can't be sure. Criticism is welcome, of course. Let me know why they suck
  9. Again, I wasn't trying to imply that individuals aren't allowed to/have the right to call themselves whatever they wanted. All I was doing was making an observation as to how the word/identity is interpreted in society today, and the differences between the past and the present. Call yourself whatever you want. You have the right to.
  10. I'm not the one that created the definition. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary did. Society dictates what behaviors and or activities are nerdy, not I. As I stated above, I cannot take credit for the past definition of nerd. I was making an OBSERVATION as to how the past DEFINITION has changed since my childhood, or since it was implemented into the dictionary. And I most definitely was NOT saying that I was a nerd (I cannot stress this enough. I do NOT define myself as a nerd, as my bible: the dictionary, defines it as a derogatory term. I'm just me.) before this new "trend". All I was doing was making an observation as to how the world view has shifted. And providing an example of the past definition of nerd, and societies views on "nerds". Perhaps my opening comment wasn't as clear as I thought it was. I've never understood the concept of irony, obviously.
  11. I didn't say, or if I did, mean to say that I was a nerd before this new trend. I'm not even saying that I AM a nerd. Just defining it and giving my lame story. My lame story should have implied that I am not, nor have I ever been prideful of the fact that people have labeled me as a nerd. I don't define myself as a nerd. *shrug* whatever, you're entitled to your opinion.
  12. I didn't label them, the Merriam-Webster dictionary did! You don't have to be a "hipster" to notice this trend. It's everywhere. You'd have to be incredibly dense to not notice it. Oh, wait. I think you may have been making fun of me.
  13. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines Nerd as: an unstylish, unattractive, or socially inept person, especially: one slavishly devoted to intellectual or academic pursuits and Geek as: 2: a person often of an intellectual bent who is disliked 3: an enthusiast or expert especially in a technological field or activity I've been noticing that a lot of individuals are now claiming to be nerds/geeks because they watch Sci-Fi shows/movies. As someone who was always ridiculed and bullied throughout my childhood because my peers labeled a nerd, I find this...a tad offensive. The only time anyone ever spoke to me without insulting me was when they wanted to copy my work. The only time anyone ever wanted to be around my unsightly self was when their grades depended on it. I only have one "friend", and she's only around because nobody else is, but when when someone else comes along, she'll throw me out so fast my neck will probably break on impact. Watching a Star Wars movie, or any Sci-Fi film or television series, reading comic books or anything of the sort does not make you a nerd, or a geek. It's not some elite group, either. Maybe I'm just feeling sorry for myself. Maybe I'm overreacting, but a lot of people who claim to be nerds have never been bullied throughout their lives, or else they wouldn't go around flaunting those words because they'd understand the social stigma. ****I'm making an OBSERVATION as to how the past DEFINITION has changed since my childhood, or since it was implemented into the dictionary. I am NOT claiming to be a nerd, as my bible: The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines it to be a derogatory word. I am also NOT saying that I was a nerd before this new trend (apparently this makes me sound like a hipster) and I am also not trying to say that you CAN'T call yourself a nerd if you don't fit into the dictionary's definition. Call yourself WHATEVER you please*****
  14. Oh my gosh! Big Mac (or Little Mac, as it were!) is so adorable! Love, love & more love!
  15. 1. Beauty and the Beast 2. The Lion King 3. The Iron Giant 4. Alice in Wonderland 5. The Emperor's New Groove
  16. Last movie I watched would be Scotland P.A. It was awesome. A great modern version/vision of Macbeth.
  17. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time need to be made into a film. Not live-action, though. Animated.
  18. Spartacus Dexter The Big Bang Theory Doctor Who Sherlock Supernatural The Legend of Korra Young Justice True Blood ....I think that's it
  19. Matt Smith! He's so whacky! Completely fun and random Doctor
  20. I was dressed like Laura Croft (the tank top and the tiny shorts) and I was running away from monsters with a bunch of guys. We got to a point where we had to zip-line across a canyon, and all of the guys went before me. When it was my turn (the monsters were only a few feet away) I wouldn't do it because my armpits were hairy. The monsters grabbed me and then I woke up.
  21. I graduated from HS ages ago! It wasn't anything special (for me anyways) it was more like torture. In southern California, it's ALWAYS summer, and we had our graduation held in my school's track & field...field. In the middle of June. On one of the HOTTEST days of that year. It was one of the worst experiences of my life! I ran to the offices to pick up my diploma and got the hell out of there after the ceremony! Anyways, congratulations on your impending graduation and good luck on your transition into college!
  22. The "dumbest" movie I've EVER had to sit through would be Twilight. And I, unfortunately, hated Batman Returns and Batman (1989).
  23. I've been rereading the (relatively new) Batman & Robin comics by Grant Morrison. Also been rereading Ultimate Spider-Man. Haven't gotten anything new, but I've been meaning to buy some of DC's New 52 comics. Has anybody read them? Or any Flash comics?
